aww Kim! That's very intense. I hope you are feeling better about everything, and it does sound like maybe this will help you both in the long run.

bakabeth~ I agree and hope that things will only get better.

Hey, just checking in ladies. How is everyone doing this week? How are we all doing with our activities? I've been doing a ton of walking...

Will know more about what is happening with the BF at the beginning of next week concerning rehab.

Kim- That is so great that you kept on track with such a difficult week. That shows great strength!

My week is going ok. I have been very busy. I have been on-plan and exercising but I don't feel as gung-ho about it as I did the last couple of weeks. I am hoping to re-charge myself this weekend so that I feel charged up again. At this point my weight loss is going to slow down and sometimes I get discouraged by that. This time I am determined to keep marching forward and finally meet my goal.

ella13~ You can do this!!! You're so close, keep going!!!

We have a bball tournament tomorrow which basically takes up my day from 6AM-6PM. I'm going to fix my lunch for tomorrow tonight so I don't fall on my face points wise tomorrow. I ran around for 2 hours with my girls today, so I'm counting that towards walking since I didn't technically run the whole time. I did not sit once or stop moving the whole practice though.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Kim-Wow! I cannot even imagine what you are going through with the BF. I applaud you for supporting him through this and for staying OP. Wow! If you can do it through that, I have no excuse! I hope your BF gets the help he needs. And you lost 4.8 lbs!!

ella- I know exactly how you feel about your motivation going down when the numbers on the scale stop moving. I struggled with that terribly in Dec. The scale didn't move for a month, then I went OffP for the holidays and I am still trying to lose the 5.5 lbs I gained over my Christmas break. I keep trying to imagine how I will look/feel when the weight is all off and I get so excited. But I am lacking motivation now that it is so cold and dreary outside. We can do this!!!

Anti- glad you are back! And you sound like you have been very active! I read your post about all the walking you have been doing and you inspired me!

I will post later in the weekend.. I hope everyone can stay OP so we have an awesome WI!

Checking in... is everyone here understanding what's going on? I just want to make sure since some are still unsure in some other teams...

Sorry ladies, I don't have a computer at home, so I have a hard time finding one to post on...

How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was really busy and tiring and I'm actually kind of glad to be back in a normal week. I've been having a hard time with being really dizzy for the last couple of days. I have some big DRs. Appts. today and tomorrow, but of course I can't find my insurance card.

Please don't forget to post your activity charts today!!!

is it just me or is there a lack of excitement for this challenge? I am bummed about my crappy WI and I ate a ton of chocolate today it was awful I am contemplating not weighing in till the end of the challenge which is feb 23 I think? A bad WI just destroys me and maybe if I don't WI every Mon or everyday I'll be fine? I had this problem last challenge; maybe if I don't do strength training I can lose more but I want to be healthy and toned! Why won't the scale budge even though I am OP?
Kim- I hope your dizziness goes away

JessieCat: I see where you're coming from with the lack of excitement. It seems most teams are having the same problem and judging by Arthwens latest posts the challenge may be stopping anyway I'm not sure if a different one will be put in its place or not, I'll have to go back and have another look. Also, please try not to get too discouraged that the scale hasn't moved this week, it will though! Maybe try just weighing yourself once every two weeks? That's what's recommended by my nurse as it gives you a more accurate reading. I know how you feel about the scale not budging after being OP all week though, it's happened to me all too often Don;t give up!

KimL1214: Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. I hope you feel better soon and your Dr. appointments go well!

Well I responded to the roll call thread and I hope you all do the same!
Anti and ella- thank you for your kind words!

Today I have a better attitude.. I did the treadmill and decided I will only do cardio this week and see how my WI goes on Monday and go from there.
Talk to you all soon!

JessieCat- What is it this week? My weight didn't budge much either. Maybe it was just a cursed week because I was SO good and exercised so much. Here's hoping this next week will be fantastic!! I checked in at roll call, I would like this to continue and still be on a team with you guys!

I’m missing weigh ins and activity charts from:
dancingirl81
bakabeth
second_chance

JessieCat
~ I like the idea of an activities challenge, but I think people feel more accountable if the competition is about weight itself.

Ella13~ I hope we can all stay on the same team as well!

Anti222~ I hope the challenge isn’t dropped!

I feel like the focus should be on weight, with different activity challenges each week as well. Maybe having a certain number of activities equal a pound of weight loss (like winning a challenge on BL, they are sometimes given an extra pound of weight loss to boost their weight loss for the week and help them stay above the yellow line). We could make suggestions for the next competition, but I feel like we should all push through and finish this one as Arthwen did and is putting a lot of time and thought into the challenge.

I had a CAT scan today and it really… sucked. They had to put an IV in and could not find a vein. Everytime they did find a vein, it would move the moment they put the needle in. After three tries the lab tech finally called for a nurse. Needless to say I opted out of having my blood taken today and plan on waiting at least a couple of days. I know my weigh in is going to stink this week as I have been super depressed and eating WAY too much all week… blah. I can’t wait for this to get figured out and all the testing to be over… Hopefully I can check in later with some good news about the challenge and me...

Kim- I am so sorry about all your tests. Don't get yourself too down about weight loss this week. You can only do so much, when you get all your health stuff sorted it will be much easier.
