I’ve been in a bit of lurking mode. Not enough going on in the lifting area, I’m finding I just am not enjoying it these days therefore avoiding it. On the plus side I’m getting plenty of yoga and running in. I wish I had some advice for the yoga-averse in here, but I guess it might not be for everyone. I like doing things slowly, maybe that has something to do with it.

Between car trouble and the heat and humidity and work stuff I am feeling less than motivated this week. We’re closing on our townhouse next week, df’s mother will be in town, I’ve got a work event a week from Saturday and another one looming next month. What I’d really like about now is a vacation. Ah well, it’s mostly “good stuff” stress. I am just not a person who likes stress of any kind I guess.

I’ve got a 5k on Saturday, I’ll get another run in tonight, take a rest day, and research a plan of action for strength training that I’ll be able to stick with over the weekend.

Hi LWL,

Crazy busy weel this week. i am too tired to think of anything. luckily i have the day off tomottow, except for a compulsory "informal meet the management" lunch, with the remark that canceling is not an option. Sigh, and WHY must the management scedule this on my day off ? This is some sort of crazy sceme that they want to get more in touch with the floor, but I suspect a major screwup ion the personel department for including me. I have made it my business not to have my working place in that building again, and arranged to be stationed elsewhere.

Exercise has fallen by the wayside again. i biked to work on tuesday, but that was all. I'll do yoga tomorrw, and for the rest I am just too tired to plan anything. I'm sure i will perk up tomorrow. I read fran's workout description and I am already vaguely contemplating to try the assisted pull up again.

Hi to all the other LWL, I love reading about your stuff, but I'm just no up to a long post at the moment.

Have a great day all,
rabbit

I don't know what is the matter with me this week, but's it's been a blah workout week. I managed one 5k and one power class and that's it. I hope to do another run tomorrow and some UB work at home so that's not too bad, but I've just been lacking motivation. It's not the end of the world but I hope I can shake it off.

I've been dying to play some tennis but I'm having trouble finding someone to play with. My husband is so-so on it but I'm sure if we went, we'd have a great time. And my friend who loves to play, doesn't live too close by. Oh well.

As I re-read a couple of other posts, it looks like I'm not the only one.

Have a good weekend everyone!

2pm on Friday, cue the countdown.

Finally got it together and did a little strength training last night, and then went for a short run (about 2 miles I think) this morning. It’s just been too hot and humid this week to run after work, getting up at 5:15 is not easy for me but it’s the only way to beat the heat.

My legs are a little sore from those plie squats yesterday, hopefully a walk tonight will get them feeling better before my 5k in the morning.

Went to a friends place to make dinner last night since df was working the evening shift. We made spaghetti squash, I don’t recall having it before but it was really good. After roasting it in the oven and scraping out the stringy insides we mixed it up with some chunky marinara and LOTS of garlic. I had some for lunch today too, no vampires are gonna bother me. We roasted some asparagus too with garlic and lemon juice.

elisa – you are right, it does seem like a “blah” workout week for lots of folks. I blame the heat.

Have a great weekend everyone!
