Morning all. Our admin is out again today. I sure hope this won’t be a long-term thing. I’m worried because she really has very serious health issues and I’m sure all kinds of complications can arise.
Happy – Wishing you a very successful surgery today!! Several surgeries amongst my friends right now – besides you, one friend just had hip surgery last week, and another is (FINALLY) having knee surgery in September right after Labor Day. Anyway, hope you find a pair of readers that work for you. “See” you in a couple days.
Michelle – So great that you will be getting a new CPAP machine, covered by insurance.

My friend D uses a CPAP and we’ve shared hotel rooms a few times on various outings, and it’s really very quiet. Definitely better than listening to snoring! Yeh, the heavier plastic bags now being used are intended to be reused – they say it right on the bag. I hope people embrace this change. I’m using one to cover the seat on my “new” bike while it sits at the station. I have another in my desk drawer at work. I also have a canvas tote at work. We have a bunch of reusable bags in our old car. I don’t think any have made it into the “new” car yet, but I should do that because we use them for library books, etc. We’ve bought poop bags and a little dispenser (clips onto the leash), but I’ve gotten so accustomed to using the big grocery bags, I find those bags too small to work with. Bf uses them though. I know biodegradable poop bags exist, but I hear they might degrade before you even get a chance to use them all up. I guess you’d have to buy them in smaller quantities…
Annie – Good golly, 48 bites!! You poor thing. I hope the itchiness subsides today. I think I have to get back to eating cottage cheese, especially at breakfast time, because I’d like to get more protein in the morning. Well, 20 lbs is a lot to lose in a month, and that would require extreme measures. And you don’t want to have to alter your dress…slow and steady is best. Glad things are coming together for the kids with all the wedding plans.
Susie – Great job on the bike. I think the biggest thing is getting going – once you’re on the bike, you’ll go the length of time you intend, especially when you have music or tv to entertain yourself. With me, it’s getting into workout gear and getting down in the basement or to the recplex. I like the idea about tying the fitbit to your shoe. I don’t think I get “credit” for the portions of my commute via bike… Yeh, we also use our grocery bags for trash bags for the smaller wastebaskets in the house, and I use them for when I’m prepping fruits and veggies. I like to take that stuff directly to the big trash bin outside, don’t want it sitting in the kitchen garbage all the way ‘til trash day.
Hellos to Terra, Shad, Ceejay & Dee!
^^
Nothing much to report.
I didn’t go to movie night last night, nor did I do an exercise class. I will regret the latter when I return from MO and have 7 classes to take in about 10 days. Oh well.

Last night I did one 30-second plank and that was it for my exercise. I did a couple loads of laundry, and I should have my pick of clothes to bring with me to MO.
I turned the hose on our new parkway tree this morning for an hour – our area is in a 2-3 inch rain deficit. I have to remember to do that weekly if we don’t get any big rain dumps.
That’s about it. Tonight I’ll be packing and getting ready to travel tomorrow. The flight’s at about 9:30 am, so I won’t have a nightmare early wakeup tomorrow, but the trip to the airport will be right during rush hour, so that won’t be fun.
Okay, gotta run. Have a great day everyone.
