  • I'm very happy today. My first WI and I have lost 5.4 lbs!!! Yippie!!! However coach said that in the next weeks expect 2 to 3 lbs of weight loss. Regardless I'm happy losing even 1 lb. coach said after week 1 of phase 1 I can start exercising so I'm hoping that will help with more weight loss or atleast losing some inches.

Anyways I am so happy! And I look forward to keep dropping these lbs and get to my goal

Goodluck to everyone and congrats to all that are trying their best! This site is so awesome as I have experimented with the IP packets and have liked the outcome

it looks like you are off to a good start! Keep up the good work!
    I love this plan!
  • Today was my first official weigh-in and I lose 8.5 pounds. I'm so excited because I'm using alternatives this time around and I still lost more weight this time then when I was using 100 percent IP products the first time. I'm trying new vegetables especially now that I've learn how to cook and purée them. Thanks everyone for all you wonderful insights and advice it has helped me transition into eating healthy and I feel like I will be able to continue to maintain this type of eating style for the rest of my life.

sdhinds, we started on the same day! Hope all is going well for you with 2 weeks under your belt.

Today is my 14th day and so far I've been 100% OP. Yesterday was rough though as we had a neighborhood party and it was HARD to watch people drinking and looking at all the yummy food and no be able to indulge. Someone had signed up to bring a veggie tray but it was no where to be seen and there was not one single thing I could have. It was all junk food. But I had brought my own food and sparkling water with lime wedges and made it through. The biggest reward was when I hopped on the scale this morning and checked my blood sugar...lowest its been since I started IP.

Looking forward to my WI tomorrow morning and another loss!

Good luck to everyone. Stay on plan!!
  • Hey June starters, I started June 10th. My wife and I have our 3rd weigh-in tomorrow. I am pretty stoked as I transitioned myself into Phase 2 last Tuesday and I can see going onto Phase 3 pretty soon. So much easier when both of us are doing it together.
  • How is everyone hanging in there? Down a total of 9lbs since 6/23 and looking forward to another loss on Mon.

Yesterday was a tough day for me with a bunch of goodies at work. It was the first time I felt like I was missing out. My coach has been texting me this morning with words of encouragement but I think I'm passed the worst of it.

This weekend I am dropping my DD off at summer camp a couple hours away. Usually that would be my drive through opportunity. Will need to plan my trip and pack a cooler.

    Stay OP this week peeps!
  • I started IP on 6/25 and have lost 10 lbs! I have been 100 per cent OP and feel fantastic! I'm so thankful for this program and am looking forward to "meeting" a lot of new friends on this site!!

    That is just great!!!!
  • Congrats fellow June starters! I see several of us started at the same time! I did well my second week -- I had one "slip" where I had lunch at a Sizzler. I filled my plate with lettuce and sprinkled some fresh mushrooms, bellpepper and raw onion on my plate. I asked the server what kind of vinegar was available to go with the oil for oil and vinegar and she said "Malt". Since that wasn't balsamic or redwine I used it (maybe a tablespoon) and then for the next 36 hours was hungry and tired. Wow. I'm a little bitter that a few drops of vinegar impacted me, but I guess that's how it works. Congrats everyone on your successful shrinking-journey!
  • Malt vinegar is similar to wine vinegar but made from ale instead.

Malt vinegar, also called Alegar, is made by malting barley, causing the starch in the grain to turn to maltose. Then an ale is brewed from the maltose and allowed to turn into vinegar, which is then aged. It is typically light-brown in color.

That's probably why you reacted so strongly to it.
