  • Welcome back, AUNTY ~ that's OK; I don't really think my life is that exciting either but I ramble away anyways ...

TAM ~ yes, I am much more conscious of what I am eating today. I know that I was under a lot of stress back then, and am learning now not to eat when upset (and have found other ways to deal with that). I have to be ever mindful & diligent, but I have noticed that with time, it has become a bit easier for me (not easy all the time, just easier).

It's warmer here again today, and we're M-E-L-T-I-N-G up here ... but that's G-R-E-A-T !!! I can even see some grass in spots and our laneway too. It will be nice to walk outdoors without having to worry about the ice -- can't wait.

We'll be having something with leftover chicken tonight for dinner; either a stew/soup or stir-fry but I'm leaning towards the stew. Have a great day ...
  • WTH it's eleven degrees and I'm at my desk? I must be out of my mind. I'm off for a walk!
  • TAM ~ can you believe it's 68 degrees with here today, and we live in the north (the real north, that is -- ) ... and they are predicting it to go up into the 70's this weekend. WOWEE ... not just spring, but summer has arrived in March ...

I spent some time out walking/sitting on our front porch. We have a lake in the road in front of our house. DH was just saying he should get out his little aluminum boat. Pretty soon and the ice should be off the sidewalks and side streets, I think.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone ...
  • Good morning!! Sort of--(It's 11:55)
Rosebud! Sounds like a gorgeous spring day!! I read your post too quickly and I thought it read you had a lake in front of your house - not a lake... in the road....Either way - maybe a boat is the way to travel! lol
I don't know if anyone is from SK here BUT -listen to this crazy forecast. Snowfall warnings in the southwestern end and +16 on the southeastern end of the province. MADNESS I say!!
Anyways: I curled a tonne this weekend in the ladies bonspiel and of course had a tonne of booze: BOO Tam!! But I'm on track this Monday and that's something to be happy about!
Have a great week Canadian Ladies!!
  • TAM ~ haha! What I meant was that the snow melted so fast that it created a lake in our road (as it dips a bit in front of our house). We don't have a real lake in front of our house, though there is one a few blocks away in the center of town (two very beautiful lakes actually).

Well, the temps were up to 77 F here today -- can you believe that? That must be some kind of record! I hung out two loads of clothes and they smell so fresh. And ya, they are predicting freezing temps for next week; but hey, this summer respite is still G-R-E-A-T!

Glad you had fun curling; I'm sure all that exercise wore off a lot of those extra beverage calories -- not to worry! Food's been good; am finding ways to curb my appetite. Drinking lots & lots of tea, and I upped my good fat intake just a smidgen.

Enjoy this fab weather, and have a wonderful week everybody ...
  • can't believe the weather we are having here! 29 with the humidex! How's everyone else enjoying the unseasonal weather? lol
  • LYRICAL ~ I luv your avatar! My thoughts precisely ...

Uhmmm ... The temps went up to 81 F today; it was a tiny bit humid, but we had a breeze and that made it feel better. Our furry baby and I spent some time on our front porch enjoying this weather, so much so -- that he didn't want to come back in the house.

Good thing we enjoyed it, becuz it is supposed to get colder tomorrow ... ah, shucks and more shucks! Back to seasonable weather; oh well. WE had a yummy dinner tonight -- we call it "Creole Patties" (a family recipe with 2 oz homemade patties with tomatoes, onions, and corn). We split a new potato, and I had some coleslaw with mine -- very filling meal.

Hope all our fellow Canadians are enjoying this weather while you can ...
  • SNOWWWWW and
+24 in the SE corner of SK. What the heck?
When do we start the spring thread? Maybe that will help. Lol
