  • Just officially moved my ticker. By 2lb!!! The third time i've seen 123lb or under in the last 3 days, so i'm claiming it!

2lb down for the month and only 1lb to go.... the joys of setting soft targets!!

Aqua zumba sounds fun, and yes the arms would be difficult to move. I've not seen that over here. Sounds better for me as surely people can't tell if you're hopelessly uncoordinated under water?!
  • Hi ladies! I'm sorry I've been so absent this week - it was busy and stressful, as we made the major decision to begin my first IVF cycle a week from Monday instead of in mid/late December as originally planned. I am nervous and anxious, but I just have to try to relax and see how things go. I stayed on plan all week with my food intake (if not with exercise), and as of yesterday I finally saw the 160s on the scale! I need to get down another ~2 lbs by next weekend in order to meet my Thanksgiving goal, as I am expecting my weight to increase (water retention) by quite a bit once we begin the IVF cycle. So this week I really need to make sure I'm getting that gym time in!!

Louisa: Way to keep up the exercise to balance the calorie intake! I hope you had a GREAT birthday, and I am sure this week the food and drink will be a little easier to manage.

aka and Tabby: Nice job on the solid 2 lbs down, both of you!!

In2wishin: Great loss!! I hope the weekend hasn't been as tough as you had thought. I definitely find myself reverting to some old habits when I visit home - there is always a plate of some baked goods on the counter that I find it hard to resist, and I definitely don't manage to resist the temptation of having a drink or two in the evenings with my parents. I never do that at home!

suttercm: It's been really cold here too. Well, either that or *I* am just not handling even a little cold very well. It's part of the reason I haven't felt like leaving the house at night to exercise; I'm so cold inside, that I don't even want to go outdoors! I need to make myself do better at that this week.

miniDoodles: I have no good chocolate/peanut butter recipes. But, if it were me and that's what I was craving, I would probably take a vitalicious muffin top and spread it with a Tbs of whipped peanut butter. Vitaliciouis sells a low sugar/sugar free chocolate muffin top, and when I find those at the store I always grab them. They are still very high in fiber (9 or 10g I think). The whipped peanut butter has less sugar/lower carbs than the regular peanut butter (or you could look for a natural peanut butter with no sugar added).

ange: Woohoo!! Those may seem like "soft targets", but with your weight as low as it is already, they're really not. Losing a pound per week at your weight is a GREAT rate of loss. Nice job!!
  • Woooeey, big fun weekend visiting a college friend. I managed to get a lot of exercise in and was at 155.8 this morning. Not heading in the right direction, but actually down .2 pound from Friday morning, so I'm happy about that, considering that I was afraid I'd be up two pounds. Thank goodness for lots of dancing and yoga.

Thanks chickadee, yes, with any luck, this week will be a bit easier!

  • Quote: Thanks for starting us off for November chickadee!

I'm going to try for 3lb again which will take me down to 122lb

And i'm going to be very excited by the end of Nov if i can actually get there!
Well, i've actually been 121lb for the last few days, so it seems that i've already met my November target!!

Whilst this sounds good, the challenge is still on for me because i've got 3 days of sales conference next week followed by 5 days inter-state customer visit to take me to the end of the month, none of which is a very diet-friendly environment!

So the mission is not to put on any weight until the end of the month, which will be challenging enough.

Nice work on your losses Tabbycat!
  • ange: YAY!!! Congratulations on reaching your November goal!!! I turned you RED below. And good luck with all the travel - you've been so on-target with your losses, and I have no doubt that you'll make it through the rest of the month with your weight unscathed.

Tabby: Great job!! Halfway through the month, and you're already almost there!

Louisa: Going down is going in the right direction for sure.

I also met my goal today - I weighed in at 167.5 lbs this morning (goal was 167.9 lbs). My weight is very likely going to start going up next week when I begin the medications, and so I'm super happy to have met goal now so that I can feel like I achieved what I wanted to this month.

Quote: Hey Chicks, add me too... No more holiday weight gains in 2011 I want to lose 10# more before Valentine's Day & reach my 141# goal. I need candy + dessert recipes that are: Low sugar/carbs, Low sodium & have some Fiber so I can eat like the skinny people do during the holidays
Look at the diabetic receipes. they are great and will help you through the holidays.
  • Just wanted to check in. I havent lost anything in the past week and a half. Still sitting at 215. Two more pounds to get to my goal. Theres still time to do it though. Everyone keep up the great work!!!
  • Been a really busy week at work, so no extra walking this week! Also getting home too late to get any walks in. Will get in my two sessions of AquaZumba, but not much else this week. Really have to stay on program, which is really hard with all the stress.

Hope everyone is having a great week.
  • Lost another 1.8lb so I am 3 away from my November goal.
  • Hiya chicklets. Well I'm back to where I started, at 155 this morning. I was up to 157.6 a couple days ago, which really freaked me out. Totally stressful week+ of work, but very active too, so hopefully I'll be able to keep the scales moving down.

I'm surrounded by good healthy food, but my problem is portion control, carbs and sugar (if it's there, I will find it). When I'm stressed and tired, my willpower flies out the window. I need to tap into that person in me who remembers that I'm doing this for me, and that it feels so good to feel thin!

All you losers here are so inspiring. I need a new mantra: I CAN be a loser! I CAN be a loser! lol.

Good luck everyone...one week 'til Thanksgiving. Make it count!
