I'm a debt collector, have been for 11 years. I used to love my job, back when the industry was very different. Now, everyone is so lawsuit happy my job is absolutely miserable. People will sue you - you personally - for ANYTHING now. We recently got sued, and had to go to court, because a debtor/client said they were cursed at and threatened. Of course, the recorded call vindicated us, but it's still time consuming and costly to defend against all of the unwarranted lawsuits. As such, the income potential has been cut to nil, while the stress level has shot through the roof. My current company has reduced me to tears on multiple occasions, I'm not usually someone who cries, but there's only so much an individual can take. But since this is all I've done my entire working life, I'm not qualified for anything else, particularly in a job market where so many qualified people are looking for a job.

Right now I am a public health (MPH) grad student. I also work as a research assistant. I'm thinking of staying in school and going for my PhD after I finish my masters, but I'm not sure on that one yet.

I'm a SAHM and love it. I also homeschool my kiddos. I do plan to one day (when the kids are ready to leave the house, be it school or whatever) to go back to school and back into the medical field. hoping to be a Lab Tech.

Stay at home momma here, but looking forward to getting more into graphic design as a career (not hobby) after my daughter goes to school.

I'm a social media junkie/coordinator for a company. Meaning I'm on Facebook, Twitter, & editing & uploading videos to youtube all day!
It was weird in the beginning but now I love it!!

I'm a pastry chef... go figure.

I handle print media (and sometimes other media!) for a pain clinic - it's actually really neat. My doctors have a lot of aspirations, so I create a monthly newsletter for our patients/referring doctors, write articles for local magazines and newspapers to promote the business, generate content for blogs/websites and have lately been writing "scripts" for their online tv show. I have a background in journalism and LOVE to write, so this is right up my alley.

However...I've learned how much I like the medical aspect of my job, and so I'm (hopefully) attending medical assisting school in August, and hope to be a pediatric medical assistant. But realistically, I think I'll probably stay in pain management

I support the US Navy through a Government Contractor. I am called an "Administrative Analyst." I write technical documents, create spreadsheats and powerpoint presentations, and organize meetings. (Basically I sit in front of a computer writing). I work with people that have Master's degrees but cannot form a sentence. These people are brilliant in other fields, just not proper English syntax.

I am an insurance agent for a small independent firm. I don't love it but it definitely could be worse. I've been here for 5 years though and have really lost my motivation, I am not sure how to get it back either. Ideally I would like to go back and finish college. I would like to do something related to genealogy or nutrition, I know two very separate fields

I'm the HR Director for a restaurant group. I never planned on HR, I actually have a French degree with teaching certification for K-12. Decided I didn't have it in me to teach at the last minute, ran a restaurant for a few years, moved into HR & accounting there where I stayed for 15 years. I've been at this company now for almost three years and most days I love it. Some days it makes me crazy.
