Mima- Walmart won't call you..You have to call them and ask if they have a med there.. I call all the time before I go there and find out that it isn't there yet..I guess they think they are too busy.. I waited for a couple weeks once to go in and find out it was waiting on me..
I have a load in the washer and one to go.. Other than that ,I plan to try and get on the T/M and read . Life of the retired.
Have a good weekend everybody...Joanne
I have load number 3 in the dryer. I hate going up and down the steps. I should have just camped down there today. lol I did use the Health Rider while I was down there earlier. I'm hoping that my son gets home soon, and he can bring the last load up from the basement. If he does that, I'll be glad to fold them.
I received 2 magazine subscriptions for Christmas. Self and some kind of Cooking Made Easy (or something like that). A friend gave me Self, and my SIL gave me the cooking one. I think she feels sorry for my hubby that I don't cook a variety of things. I have tried different things in the past, but hubby and son like the same old things. They don't like to be adventurous. No fun!
You guys are so funny!!! I love to cook ... hate to clean up the mess, though and REALLY hate the treadmill!!! I have one of those air walkers and don't like it, either. I have some easy (and good) recipes if you want them. I made spaghetti cassarole and salad for friends last night before we went to a concert. It's a breeze and is delicious ... freezes well, too. And most kids like it. You can make a little or a lot, for just the family or for company ... just one dish (my kind of dinner!)
Did anyone else watch Wickedly Perfect Thursday night? That's my kind of show. All my friends are really into The Amazing Race and Fear Factor but I'd much rather watch something like this new one ... I told hubby that was the kind of show I needed to BE ON!!! I could really win at something like that. I'm not athletic and I can't stand the thought of eating worms but I love to cook and decorate!!!
Tammy- I walk at 3+ miles an hour.. I don't read while I am on it.. I would probably break my neck.. I tried once. I thought it would relieve the boredom.. My eyes don't focus well enough, to read ,there. Too much movement.. I have seen some people do it and wondered how they could..I put on my Cd player and watch whatever my hubby has on tv. Today it was the spanish station.. All those little teen age kids shaking all over the place.. I think he just likes the music and watching the shaking.
Meme- I like to cook too. We mainly eat the same things. Just plain food. I cook different for special things..I don't like the cleaning up either. But there is just me here to do it...I am not crazy about the T/M either, but, in bad weather it comes in handy. I don't watch much TV.. Tonight is opry night here.. If it isn't a repeat, I might watch it if they have someone good..I'm a reader..
HELLO eVERYBODY...jOANNE
spaghettis is something that all of us like here. That's one of our staples.
What is Wickedly Perfect? I rarely watch TV. I used to watch lots of it, but got out of the habit or something. Seems like I'm always doing something else. Reading is one of my favorite things to do.
OH ... I love to read, too. I read a lot. Have you ever read any of Ted Dekker??? I've read all his books so far and just preordered his newest one. I read so much I've run out of my favorite authors and the book I'm reading right now is soooo boring ... I'll be glad when I'm done with it! Don't you just hate reading a boring book ... you want it to be over but you can't NOT finish it because you've invested too much time in it aleady ... have to see how it ends!
Wickedly Perfect is a new program that just started Thursday night that pits 2 teams of decorator/cooks against each other. They put them in a house last Thursday night and gave each team a theme to plan around and $2500 they could spend on one night. They had to plan a dinner for 12. They had to buy stuff to make the food, table decorations and party favors and then make it all in just 24 hours and serve it to 3 judges (and themselves). The team that won got points, the team that lost had to choose one member to leave and got a replacement for next week.
I think I watched that the week before. I am not into tv right now except for Extreme Makeover Home Edition. And I am waiting for a new episode of 7th Heaven-been all reruns. The pharmacy story gets better-we had to pay for the script-not covered-61$Brad's choice because he didn't want to drink that yukky stuff. And they won't fill the Prevacid. Ned a generic. Guess you can't blame insurance. Wish docs knew this before they wrote out script.
WE went to see Meet the Fockers-thought it would be a good diversion for Brad-and me while I wait for ct results. Man, that was funny!! But not for kids!! Don't like Barbara Streisand but she sure played her part well. And we love Deniro.
Going to a new Sunday school class today. Later , watch the Patriots beat the Colts-ha!! Bye for now. Mima
Meme, I am cracking up!! I know exactly what you mean about a boring book. You HAVE to finish it even if it takes forever! I have never read any of Ted Dekker's books. I used to be a big Danielle Steel fan, but I haven't read any of hers for a while. I've read the Left Behind series, and all of the Harry Potter books. Strange combination, isn't it?
I also love all of John Jakes books.
I may have to check out some of these shows on TV. Bob and Tim watch things, but I don't even know what they watch. Lots of History Channel shows.
Maybe when I'm off with the surgery, Bob and I can take in a movie. It seems like I always have something going on. For those couple of weeks, the sub will be doing all of the grading, so I can relax! (I'll be a nervous wreck wondering what is going on in the classroom!!)
Good morning-I want to start a new thread but can't see how to do it. We survived Brad's first day of prep for the colonoscopy-he has to do it all over again this am. Then we leave sometime before 10:30 am. I was hoping my SIL would go shopping an lunch with me while I wait but they were going to Sarasota. I could go home but I'd rather shop. And that would mean more driving!!! Good news is that there is no school today so that should help. Cassidy has a weird cough and I looked it up and it sounds like kennel cough. He's 14. We will see if we take him to vet's but not today. If it's that, it's a virus. But he hasn't been near other dogs!
Tammy, I missed something. What surgery are you going to have. That's what I get for being a speed reader-it doesn't work on posts.
Yeah-Go Patriots. Went to new Sunday school class-it was great and people are so friendly. Hope I hear something today from my doc. Mima
