Whine.... we were 76F at 6 this morning. I am scared to check it out now.

I'm off to do the last noontime Bingo of the summer. At least the hall is air conditioned and is never smokey for the first Bingo of the day.

If our AC is not fixed by suppertime tonight, I will find that AC guy and have his balls for bookends - bronzed! Does anybody but me remember those bronzed baby shoes that were usually made into bookends holding Readers Disgusts?

I'll send you all some of my weather. It was 89 degrees yesterday, but last night it got down to 49. Gotta love the high desert!

I started painting my bedroom last night - pale sagey, mossy green. Doesn't painting count as exercise????

Nuthin' else exciting going on - can't wait to get home and finish my room so I don't have to sleep in paint fumes again (made for some interesting dreams though! )

Squeak-DH went to the board meeting for approval and to meet the bosses. The person taking down the minutes announced, "We do not have a quorum, see you next month!" As DH and the other new hire sat there with their mouths open, the provost rushed over and said, "Don't worry." Then the president came over and met them and told them that there had been an executive meeting earlier in the day, and that their hire had been approved.
The secretary told DH a few days ago that she had ordered the name plate for his office door, and a current instructor asked DH if he wanted to share her office. (YES!! Very nice to offer!!) SO, basically he has the job, but I ain't celebrating until the contract is signed!!!! (To tell the truth we CAN'T do much celebrating until he gets the first paycheck anyway!!!)

I adore that t-shirt. would like to buy them for some of my clients...but, their parents might get annoyed with me. perfect for my young women with eating disorders...really empowering.

I actually made this shirt for a friend of mine a couple of years ago. Used pink sparkly buble paint on a black t-shirt. It was very girly.
