Quick little NSV before I head to bed...

I bought a pair of lycra'ish mid-calf pants tonight to wear on my bike rides. I was a little worried about getting them because A) they are supposed to be TIGHT and I'm pretty self conscience about that still and B) they only went up to XXL and I didn't feel like trying them on but wanted them.

I just put them on and while they don't leave much to the imagination, they do fit. They even have plenty of stretch left in them (meaning I didn't max them out) and they weren't a struggle to pull on like I thought they would be. I might just have to go back and try those size 24 denim capri's I saw!!!

We have had the day from **** here in Greeley. There were 7 tornadoes that touched down and did considerable damage throughout our county, with 1 death. We've set up an emergency disaster fund at our Community Foundation office, so I spent the day with the media and glued to the news on the Internet. Just as we thought everything was calming down, we got a reverse 911 call to head to the basement because another tornado had been spotted. Luckily, it did not touch down.

My DIL works at State Farm's regional office, which took almost a direct hit. She was on her way back to work from lunch just after the tornado hit. At least 75% of the cars in their lot (they have 3 large multi-level buildings) were damaged by hail or picked up and tossed around by the tornado. Some of the windows were blown out, as was part of the roof. It looked like a bomb hit went off. I've lived here since 1991 and this was the first tornado that was close to us. They are usually further out on the eastern plains. My 4 yr. old granddaughter had to stay in a closet at daycare for half an hour, so is still pretty scared and upset. Imagine how all those little kids would feel, away from their family and having to stay in a dark, little closet.

Donuts and Denise, hope you both are OK and weathered the storms without any damage.

Sorry for dumping here, but I am too uptight to sleep.

Judy

Judy - don't worry about dumping here! Glad to hear that you and your DIL and granddaughter are all okay! I saw that on the news tonight and saw Weld County and knew that was the Greeley area as I was born in Greeley. My grandpa currently lives in Pierce, CO and my grandma lives in Loveland. Small world!

Angie - great NSV!!!! WOO HOO!!! Also, congrats on getting the bike. I soooooooooo miss bike riding. Years ago when I did WW I went biking all the time and rode like 10-12 miles at least 4 times a week. I so need to start doing that again!

crested1 - CONGRATS on the loss and making it into ONEDERLAND!!!

Diana - I have always eaten lowfat cottage cheese.

Hawaiiboundby40 - paid for 6 months?? Guess I am a little confused by that. When I joined last week it was so many weeks to get to your goal weight, 6 weeks of stabilization and then 52 weeks of maintenance. That was all for one price.

Finz - HUGE CONGRATS to you on your weight loss and the accomplishment of getting into ONEDERLAND!!!!

WorkingARmom - congrats on the loss with the meta quick!!! What is that by the way?? What are the shakes and bars??

Ms. Jennifer - if you are having trouble seeing all the posts to reply to open this thread in 2 windows; use one to read and one to reply/post on. Hope that makes sense to you!

Bonnie 2 - great job on the weight loss this week and way to go with the NSV!! Your shake recipe sounds really good but where do you get the whey protein?? Also, what is the Sea thin and where do you get it?? What does it do??

Nickie - thanks for the info on the food menus. I was a little over 200 when I signed up but I was given a green meta-slim menu. I am totally fine with it though as 2 more ounces of protein at lunch and dinner would probably be too much as I think it is a lot now! I am super excited to try the creamy hot chocolate tomorrow!!!! I am going to the store to buy the decaff instant coffee tomorrow after my weigh in!!!

Well I had better get to bed - DD had a fever today and tonight so I had better get some sleep in case she wakes up in the middle of the night again tonight!

Ok wanted to ask too if anyone had suggestions on recipes that they absolutely loved for chicken. I am slowly starting to get burnt out on it. I think I will make the BBQ one tomorrow night for my supper.

Default Metaquick

Hello Ladies, Sounds like everyone is doing a great job on their venture and having the time of their life

I am new and asking lots of questions so that I can find my way so please bare with me.

What is MetaQuick? And what are Seathins? Finding this board is really great, what a wonderful place to come and get motivated. I want to learn all I can because I really am finding this program to be the answer to many of my woes and this site only adds to that however that does lead to my many questions. Is there anyone who can list the acronyms I am seeing on this site. I figured out WI (weigh in) and OP (on plan), but have seen others such as DH, NSV etc.

Can someone help me learn the ropes

Hi, thought I would respond to your post. Metaquick is a meal plan that is supposed to help you break a plateau. Seathin is a weight loss supplement that you can find at Wal Green's or GNC. You can find more info if you google it . DH= darling husband, NSV = non scale victory. Glad to have you. This is a great forum. Be sure and post on the most recent thread which is #20. Good Luck!

Take 20 disappeared when 3FC's server crashed. But here's where it picked back up.
