  • Hi ladies, Hope everyone is good today. I am just about done with my work so don't know what I will do the rest of the day. Guess I need to find something. I am just not motivated to get out of this chair.

Crystle, how many calories are you eating a day? Hope your sore throat is from allergies or something like that. Feel better. Congrats onyour lb loss also.

Toni, don't let tht gain depress you. You can do this. Just make up your mind on what you want. One day at a time that's what I am doing.

Mercee, I think fitting into a anrticle of clothing that you have not worn before or since is a great feeling. Better than the scale I think. Keep up the good work and congrats on the 1lb.

Ellen, I bet you are the same today. Just wait and see. I went back to the sleep dr so they could read my machine. The people had not sent the paper in so he had no idea if it was right or not. They called and it was fine and no adjustment needed but I still have to go back next month so he can tell me what it says. Totally stupid. I don't think I have bought the machine yet but I want them to before the end of the year.

Off to do something. Have a great day
  • Morning ladies:

Not a lot going on just the usual work and working out. Have a great day everyone. I still wanted to stop by.

Solly- Maybe you can come and help me with my work. LOL
  • Good morning
The cold front finally came through last night...hip hip hooray! It was 94 yesterday so I am so glad it is finally cooler. Feeling awesome today. Not sure why the throat was sore yesterday but all is well today.

Solly...I'll tell you my calorie count as long as you don't get on me. I'm not eating enough and I know it. I'm averaging in the 800 - 900 range. Which is better than it was.

Toni... You'll have those five pounds off before you know it.

Ellen... Wish we would get some of your rain. We are going on 37 days with no real rain. They are saying we may not get rain until mid November.

    Mercee...Don't work too hard.
  • Hello everyone. My niece was in town for a business trip and I got up early and met her in town for breakfast. It was nice getting out early but ooo cold. I'm going to put a turkey breast on pretty soon and have that with a salad and veggie tonight. Steve is looking forward to sandwiches out of it.

Solly- Hope you found something to do. Its awful when you're at work to sit idle. Makes the day go so slow.

    Mercee- Don't work to hard.

Crystle- Dang I wish thats all I ate. You're so close to your goal. I just wish I was at my ticker weight.

Ellen- Bet you've lost that 1/2 lb. by now.
  • Hello buster buddies!

I did not weigh. I forgot. I had a somewhat laid back morning, then ran a few errands and got my hair cut. While I was at the salon, I ran into an old friend I have not seen in years. That is the second time that has happened at this salon! It was nice. She stood and chatted with me while I got my cut. We are going to try and hook up for lunch in a few weeks...after her daughter gets married next weekend! Wow...

I made Indian for dinner...tandoori chicken, bottle gourd curry and chana dal with spinach and tomatoes. I ate way too much chana dal. Thankfully it has a very low GI. I may need some ginger for the tummy ache though.

I have not painted yet today. I need to. I guess I will do that later tonight. Tom and I are running out to run a few errands now that it is dark and he can no longer see to work on closing the pool. I have a photo of a cluster of grapes I may do tonight. Its been fun picking stuff out to paint.

    Later!
  • My roasted turkey breast came out so good. We had that and a nice big salad. Simple but nice.

Ellen- Your dinner sounds wonderful. Grapes would be cool to paint.

Its going to have a big freeze tonight.
  • TGIF, Boy am I glad it's Friday. It has been a long week. The only thing I have planned this weekend is a retirement party Sunday afternoon and then diiner at my DD's to see the baby in his costume. Of course I have to clean sometime. I always feel so much better on the weekend. Don't know why but I look forward to it.

Crystle, we were supposed to get frost last ngiht. Don't think we actually got it. I am not fussing at you but I would starve to death at that calorie range. I starve on 1300. I just read an article from Jilliam on BL and she said crash diets only m ake you eat more later and add more weight so be careful. Plus you are exercising and that is burning calories.

Toni, Turkey breast sounds so good. My house would like that and then sandwiches later. It was nice that you got to meet your niece for bf. I ended up filling the whole day with work yesterday and up until now today. So it worked out. But times goes so slow when you are not busy. I like busy.

Ellen, Grapes sound pretty. Still thinking you should sell hem as a group for the kitchen. Nice that you ran into an old friend.

Mercee, I would love to come do your work, but I'm probably not qualified. I work in construction. I also found lots to do yesterday after all and alot this morning also.

Happy Halloween everyone!!! Have a great weekend.
  • Howdy
Just finished making the guys chicken and dumplings for supper. Don't know what I'm going to have yet. If I am too lazy just an egg sandwich. Did a three mile video today that had ab work at the end. My poor belly is so sore between that and the ab work yesterday. Even though it was very very little I have like no abs.

Solly...I hear you about eating enough but honestly I'm not hungry. It is not like when I used to starve myself to lose weight. I eat a lot of very low calorie foods plus my tummy shrank. I stop when I get full. If I know that I'm way too low in calories I eat really fast so I can finish. I bet your little guy is going to be adorable. Hope you get tons of rest this weekend. Cleaning can wait.

Ellen...how neat to run into an old friend. Do you like your new haircut?

Toni...Turkey breast sounds good. I would like a sandwich with the leftovers for sure. I'd even load that puppy with mayo. There is something so comforting about leftover turkey breast. I think because we only eat it once a year and it brings back so many great memories. My other favorite is turkey noodle soup. You gotta use those big fat egg noodles and celery with a tiny bit of carrot. We used to make that years ago.

Mercee...Thanks for stopping by. It is always nice to know all is going well.

I don't celebrate Halloween but want to wish ya'll a safe and fun day if you do.

    God bless,
    Crystle
  • I had lunch at a Mediterranean place today with a friend. They have the BEST baba ganoush (eggplant dip). I did eat some pita bread, but asked them to hold the rice, so it was not too bad. I bought some of the eggplant stuff for Tom to try. I LOVE it. It has a smokey flavor that is really good!

Then I went and voted early...and wow was it crowded! I was surprised. I returned library books then came home. I SHOULD clean. I hate to though. The house is really slipping into extreme disarray though.

Its much cooler today and feels wonderful out. The rains cleared and its sunny and crisp. Tomorrow we will have our grandson, and my other daughter with the daughter is coming to go to the church fall festival with us. I can't wait to see the granddaughter in her costume. She is going to be a little monster. SO fitting! The grandson is going to be batman. He is very into super heroes right now. I am surprised he did not want to be Spiderman. That seems to be his favorite...'Piderman...even though he doesn't like 'piders....

I need to do my daily painting. I hated painting those grapes, but the more I look at it the more I like the way it turned out. That is good...I will be more willing to try them again if I feel even a little success.

    Have a great weekend everyone!
  • good afternoon. Had a turkey sandwich for lunch. Am going to have polish sausage and sauerkraut tonight. Went to town and got some lettuce and stuff for salad. I'm going to clean off my treadmill this week end and get it ready for walking. I've got to start moving.

Ellen- I thought your grapes were very good. Your lunch sounds yummy.

Solly- Sounds like you're having a good day. Enjoy the week end.

Off to take a little nap and watch Dr. Oz.
  • Crystle- Guess we were posting at the same time. I love turkey soup too. I will probably make some with whole wheat noodles after we're finished with the turkey. Boy your work out sounds great, keep up the good work.

Mercee- Have a good week end. Maybe you can get in a walk or two.
  • Happy Saturday. Just got done chopping some fresh picked bell peppers someone gave me for the freezer. I love to have a baggie Hof them when cooking. Also have a load of laundry in. Need to go grocery shopping, maybe tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a good day.
  • Well, I am a happy camper. I sold the painting of the grapes last night. I went today to find a frame for them, and will need to varnish the painting and let it cure a bit.

The cat is snoring loudly on the bed next to me. hehe....he is like 18 years old..so very old!

We have the grandson tonight. Our other daughter and her husband came down with the granddaughter too and we went to the festival at the church. It is a fund raiser for the youth, and they had chili. It was really good! I think my grandson had fun. My daughter and son in law had plans and left early. But the baby was adorable in her costume. She was a little monster. Kaeleb was dressed as Batman. He was REALLY into it. There was another boy about his age dressed as Spiderman, and the two of them hung out together. It was pretty cute.

I never did buy any candy to give out in case we get trick or treaters. I guess I will go buy something...maybe gum, or cracker packages. One year, I gave out chips. The kids loved it, and I felt better with that rather than the nasty candy.

Tom laid down with the boy at bedtime an hour or so ago, and I guess he fell asleep with him!

  • Whew! Yesterday was busy! I am actually thankful the weekend is over. I need to be VERY productive this week...lots to do! I did not paint over the weekend, so I feel behind. My plan for today is to go to water aerobics at 10, then hit wal mart to see if I can find a lamp to set up still lifes with. That will go a long way to helping me paint more. I won't have to look for pictures, I can make my own.

We got a couple trick or treaters last night. I was surprised. The year before we got none. These were mostly little kids with parents. I was happy to see them. The last one we got was batman. It was our grandson coming back by to pick up things he left here with his parents after T&Ting with some friends of theirs. He was so generous! He poured out his haul and was giving everyone some. I only ate one piece of what he gave me, but I did eat two or maybe three of the dark chocolate mini bars Tom went out and got. Good thing too! We needed them.

Tonight we have small group, then covered dish on Wednesday. I am going to the big swanky mall down close to downtown on Thursday. Tomorrow I have a chiro appt. It sounds like a busy week. And I have a bit of a cold, probably caught from the grandson who had a bad one with a cough that keeps lingering.

I have not been on the scale since Thursday. My blood sugar levels have only been so so. I expected this morning to be high after the chocolate, but it was not too bad. Its so very confusing!

Will be back later! Must go prepare for water aerobics.

  • Good morning ladies, it's Monday again. We only had a few trick or treaters last night. Most of the biggers one came from brought in neighborhoods. I think this is my last year giving out candy. I will fix 4 bags for the kids in the neihborhood that I know and spend the rest of the time with my grandson. He was so cute. It went to the doors. Don't think he said anything and got chandy. Of course his parents won't let him have a thing. Guess they will eat it.

Weekends are so bad for me. Wish I could stay on track. But I love my wine and doing w/o all week makes me really want it on the the weekends. We usually eat out on Friday ad Sat nights and that is hard too. Got to work on that. Have a gyno appt this afternoon. Fun, Fun.

Ellen, sounds like yo had a great day with your grandkids. That makes the day worth it. Glad you sold your grapes. I thought they were really good. Hope you can fit everything in this week.

Toni, glad to hear you are getting your tradmill out again. I hope to do something this week also. My DH's phone broke sowe have to do that tonight an a funder home tomorrow night but I want to.

Crystle, I still would be hungry all the time. Yesterday in church about 15 kids dressed up as Saints for All Saints Day today and I was all over that one I love that kind of thing.

Mercee, I hope you had a great weekend!

Off to get some work done. Have a great one.
