You can do it Leeny! It's wonderful that you've lost all that weight, and you deserve to get as many benefits as you can. A flat stomach? I can dream, I guess… :-)

Is it expensive to have the surgery? They won't let you suffer with a lot of pain, and they don't cut through muscle, so repair-time will be faster. Painkillers and people looking after you – and imagine how wonderful you'll feel without the extra skin. Woo Hoo!!!

We all self-sabotage, and it would take a much wiser woman than me to understand/explain it all. Just be kind to yourself, and you'll get through it. Is it OK with you that your mother has offered to help? Sounds like you were surprised by her offer.

Where's Lindor? It's unusual for her to go this long without posting.

Exams are all over...yay. I picked up my shakes etc today, and found out thhis week that one of my friends is doing it too. I'm pretty sure I passed all my exams, even though the last one had me in bed at the end of it, I was so wiped.

Diet is right out the window just now

I finished my old job last night...I think I am grieving???

New job starts Monday...I feel sick thinking about it

Accepted an offer on the house yesterday...but it is pending electrical, plumbing, building and visual inspections (they live out of town). The lady came by today to view it.

Two hours before she came in, the neighbours dragged a battered up car out of their yard and pushed it into the bush across the road - where it still remains!!! It only has two wheels and there is no way it could be registered!!! I tried calling the shire ranger about it, but he is 'not available' today...nor is anyone else in the shire offices able to help me!!! I did leave LOTS of messages though!!!

So the lady was here, I left her (with the real estate agent) to walk through the house and have a look - she took her time and seemed very thorough with her look. In the meantime I was outside chasing stray dogs out of my yard and quietly(?) shouting at the neighbours kids to get off the fence!!!

She made no indication as to whether she was happy with it or not when she left, so I guess I just have to see if she withdraws her offer or not.

I don't think there will be a problem with the plumbing, electrical or building inspections.

So, yeah, been a kinda busy and stressful few days. Lots of emotions happening!

Kathy, glad you are happy with how your exams went...that makes the 'waiting' a little easier I am sure?

Why dont I get email notifications anymore?? Here I was thinking that no one had been posting! Sad.

Anyway, Leeny....like Ani said, you deserve to feel your best after such an achievement! I cant wait to say that I have lost 60kgs! If you dont mind asking, how long did it take you to get all of that off? I think hearing inspiring stories helps keep me motivated to stay the course....

...which by the way, Im not on at the moment! The last couple of days have been shocking! I tell my hubby NOT to bring home junk food, because I WILL eat it if its in the house, so of course, he goes and buys like 3 packets and tries to hide them in the closet! Ha! As if I wouldnt find them...so 1 packet devoured and I havent even gotten back into walking since the weather has been better. I just cant force myself to do it. Im so tired in the mornings since I dont sleep well anymore (since Carter arrived, even tho hes sleeping 11 hours straight), so cant drag myself out the door then. Well, I say, ok, Ill do it this afternoon...but, we have had things on in the evenings the last couple of days, so I have to get ready in the afternoons (as it takes me several hours between showering, bathing Carter, getting his stuff ready for the night, getting hubby's stuff together). Excuses, excuses, but thats me at the moment. Its not THAT bad and I havent gained anything, but Ive got to suck it up and get back on track. I cant keep doing this yo-yo thing.

Ani, I have watched a little of the Great Weight Debate...it will be interesting to see how everyone goes. I did apply for Biggest Loser this year and didnt get in, obviously...a moment of desperation had me applying online, before I realised that I would miss Carters 1st Christmas and birthday, so am glad it didnt work out. Glad to hear you are taking care of your achilles...and still admire your determination for pressing on. Here I am complaining of being tired and you are walking with pain. <sigh>

Lindor, hurray for house offer!! Hopefull all inspections will go well...

Okay I have to get my act together, I've been mucking around.
I'm going to set myself some goals for the next week.
1. Only weigh 1x a week.
2. Drink my water
3.Continue with the good exercise I'm doing.
4.Track everything I eat.
I know I can lose weight again but I'm having a real hard time getting back into step with anything.

The offer on my house fell through


I went for a drive out of town yesterday...was heading back home early evening and hit a 'roo. So I have a nice little repair job to get done on the car...think it pushed the fan into the radiator as there was lots of noise, water and steam after hitting it.


So feeling depressed and stressed is still up there and not helping with dieting


It's going to get better isn't it???

Lindor, you poor thing! I reckon it HAS to get better from here...youve had too much stress and issues these last few weeks - its bound to let up soon! I would have freaked out if I had hit a roo! :0

I've done 2 days now on TF. ITs ok, not overly keen on the shakes, but they are ok, maybe I need them colder. Been scoffing down salads and stirfried veges to try and keep the hunger pangs away.

Lindor, you've certainly been having a rough trot for the past few weeks. I'm sorry to hear about it, and I really hope it starts to get better for you soon.

I'm just plodding along (or should that be limping?), and trying to keep things going in the right direction. I've lost 4.3kg since I started this thing at the beginning of August, so I shouldn't get too impatient. It's weigh-in day for me on Monday so I'd better behave tomorrow :-)

Well, this is it! My last day off before I start the new job tomorrow!

I am feeling really anxious about it, yet at the same time I want to get into it and start gaining some confidence with it.

I have totally pushed the diet out the window for another week!! Don't think I'll have the courage to weigh-in again tomorrow.

But, from tomorrow, I start a whole new lifestyle. Normal work hours - Mon to Fri 8am-4pm. The is no more of this two weeks early shifts and two weeks late shifts!!! I swear it was the shifts that made dieting hard. I'd just get into one routine and then my shifts changed!

So, I'll say it again...

...tomorrow is a new start


Kathy, keep up with the shakes!!! Although, I don't think I could if it was me!!

Ani...slow and steady is the way to go. Gives you body time to adjust to the diet changes too. Keep it up!!!

You know I'm finding this easier than anything. I get up in the morning and down a shake, so easy, no standing over the stove making something lowcarb and fatty. Lunch is either a crisp salad and shake, or a stirfry with protein and veges, depending on the day and dinner the other way around. I'm liking the shakes now I found how good they are icy cold. I dont know if I've lost any weight yet though, I'll find out on Thursday when I weigh in. My fingers are crossed. I've cut out the diet coke, and replaced it with other stuff, so I've been getting the old caffiene cramps in my legs, but it'll go away. Catch you soon. xoxox

Onya Kathy - I'm looking forward to hearing about your progress with those shakes. It was weigh-in day for me, and I came in at 100.2kg - which is a loss of 0.9kg from last week.

I wonder how Lindor is going on her first day of her new job. Hopefully she'll pop in here tonight and tell us all about it.

Bit of a shakey first day. Felt like I was starting as the 'tea lady' running around doing the 'gopher' jobs for others.

Long story and hard to explain...but things did settle down by about midday and I started to feel as if I 'belonged'.

WEll I am so-so on the diet. Not game to weigh myself just yet...maybe give it a few more days and then bite the bullet.

Sorry about your house Lindor and good luck with the new job. You are going thru a stressful time at the moment so as you would say to me....be kind on yourself and when time is right the diet will be. Fingers crossed that a buyer will come along soon with lotssss of money...

I have had some good news...my husband got the all clear from the Oncologist yesterday. We went to Brisbane for another check up...best one ever He has been thru **** and back...4 ops, radiation and chemo...now he is finally past that forever I hope and we can move forward. I am over the moon...you just can't believe what a relief that news was. I think it is still not in my head. He celebrated with a milkshake(poor darlin is trying to be healthy) and i a piece of cake. Yeah for us. My sons cried and the youngest asked me "is daddy going to live now"...how heart wrenching.

Anyhows...thought i would share with my friends my great news. Better news that losing weight this week for me. Hope everyone else is as happy as me today...xxxleeny

Woo Hoo Leeny, that is the most awesome news. Awesome!!! My mum had breast cancer 20 years ago, and she was 'lucky' in that they caught it early. Even though she had surgery, and all the follow-up, I am thrilled that she is still going strong. I'm only telling you that, because I can relate to that feeling … and I am really, very happy for you. The relief is indescribable :-)

Lindor how was Day Two? Better? Be patient, it always takes time to settle into a new job and to find your routine.

I'm doing OK - I walked for an hour today, and because my annoying achilles got tight, I made an appointment to see the doctor. Britt scared me :-))
