But since we can't add fruit or mix it with milk I'd like to hear your opinion.
ISOPure looks really good nutritionally and $$$-lly.
The Zero Carb Powders have~
210 Calories
0g Total Carbs
50g Protein
Each 3lb canister has 21 servings. But based on that nutritional profile you'd only need 1/2 a serving to adequately replace IP. I'm seeing these at the Vitamin Shoppe website for ~$35/canister (or $0.83/"meal"). It looks like they also sell it in larger containers.
$0.83 is quite a difference from $4. Maybe I'll take the bodybuilder's advice and just suck it up and try it.
I did try the zero carb isopure in creamy vanilla and it was really yummy- and i have never seen a protein dissolve so easily into water just mixing it with a spoon- its pretty cool- it was delicious. and was fine with my ketosis and everything. i paid alot more for the 3lbs at GNC - like $80 which is still less per meal-like 2 dollars but if i stick with it I will be looking for it on line for sure! thanks for the info on that!!
Also at GNC i found some small ready to drink botttles of zero carb isopure in fruit punch, icy orange, and blue raspberry. I have tried these and I find they aren't as tasty but taste alot better if you put it in a glasss with ice cubes and mix it with some cold water. Each bottle has 40 grams of protein and it kind of reminds me of drinking kool-aid. I got them for 75% off because they were going to expire in may!! So check those expiration dates. so it was about a dollar a bottle before tax- which is like 50 cents a meal- ha! not bad for changing it up.
The zero carb isopure is the only thing i have tried outside of IP because it seems sooo close label wise- and it doesn't hinder my ketosis. in my opinion i would think it would be a good substitute, but thats just an opinion- i don't know it for sure. There aren't any studies on IP and isopure- LOL!
