thanks sandy!! I am pumped. I grabbed them thinking they would still be to tight...but they fit!!They are 16W but still !! I did find a dress and it was on sale for 70% off!!
We walked and walked and I ended up going back and getting one of the very 1st dresses i tried on. Its an 18. I might could have went with a 16 but I was afraid to push my luck. Its only 7 weeks till the wedding.I went with a solid black dress with a sheer jacket.It has beading on the jacket and at the bottom of the hem on the front side of the dress. It is elegant and should be very sliming. I will be sure and post pictures when i have on some spanx with it.
Hubby and I are home alone..so I made him some ham and cream cheese roll ups and i had a few laughing cow cheeses on crackers..I also finished off my meal with an orange..We are going to watch a little tv and will most likely never see midnight. LOL

Dgramie, you must be really thrilled! You even brought me dreams of fitting my own backside into a 16. Congrats!!!

Good day today. Better day tomorrow - starting with sleeping in! Bedtime now. Yeah, I know the ball doesn't drop for 3 more hours, but isn't it tomorrow in VOODOO land already?? (That'd be Brittain, not Haiti.) Hey SHARON! Good to see you here, whether it's yesterday or tomorrow where you are. Who can keep track of these things?

Just popping by to spread some good wishes for the New Year. May the new year bring with it some of what you wish for.

Annie - the term is skinny fat, and it's actually a surprise to some people that their bodyfat is high, even though they fall within a normal weight. I can't imagine being happy with that either.

Val - you're very brave to share your journal. There are thoughts within my head that will never be put to paper, let alone shared with the world. Bravo!

Debi - my geranium seeds have started to sprout, so they went in the dirt today. I've always started them in wet paper towel and then plant them. It's the only way I get a decent number coming up. The rest will be planted over the next few months (depending on types). It does make me feel like spring is coming... here our planting date is late May/early June (for frost free).

Good morning every1 and happy new year i havnt been around the last week or so as i have been a lil depressed about being away from my family during the holidays and also cause i have reverted back to bad habits ie coke lol. its amazing how fast you can pack on the lbs just by drinking soda and not exercising.
i am really looking forward to this blc to jumpstart me back OP. i hope everyone has been doing well, and i hope 2009 is a great year for us all.

Happy New Year everyone!!!!! Only stopping by to check in. My husband had to work today so it's just me and the children so makes for a busy day. At least he gets off at 1 today.Just enjoying some coffee this morning. I need to get off my behind and do a workout thinking of doing Yoga. I've been stressed alot so time to relax. Well off to workout. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi everyone

Happy New Year for 2009

It still remains very cold here it has not gone above freezing and we also have fog which is a dangerous combination for anyone driving at this time of the year.

DH is out of the house at the minute walking Rizzie (dog) more than likely they will have gone for a 3 mile walk which I can't do. Plus with the weather being so cold I have been staying indoors so not to trigger my trigeminial neuralgia which does not act well in cold weather and is a known trigger factor for me. I have just finished doing 25 minutes on my whole body vibrator I have found leg muscles that I didn't knew that existed If I feel like it later I may have a short session of about 7 minutes.

I visited my sister the other day and the children where showing me their wii fit board. ( Christmas present to all 4 girls from their parents) Needless to say they dragged me up to have a go on ones that did not have too energetic moves I did the Slalom skiing and ski jump. I would love to have one of these as it has a whole section on balance and I know that MSers have have benefited from this. Trouble is that they are so expensive so I will not be getting one anytime soon. We are saving for the deposit on our car which we change this month. I am entitled to a car due to my poor mobility but some cars (the bigger ones especially) require a deposit. So we are saving like mad to give ourselves the biggest choice of cars to choose from. I can't believe that 3 years have nearly gone by it does not seem that length of time. You have the car 3 years then change it. You keep it for 5 if it is heavily adapted to suit your needs.

Americaninuk It really must be difficult being to far away from your family especially at this time of the year. Like you I turn to food for comfort as I have done since the year dot Good luck with the Biggest Loser Challenge.

dgramie Congratulations on your size 16 it shows that all your hard work is paying off. I can not believe that it is only 6 weeks till your daughters wedding. Black is a great colour for slimming you down. I know if I wear black or the dark colours I get far more comments about my weight loss.

ToniLight Well done for being on plan for 4 days in a row I am sure that will show dividends on the scales at the end of the week. This time of the years is really hard to stay on plan with all those goodies to tempts us where ever we turn.

erinkman1 Congratulations on the 4 1/2 pounds lost this week that is really good with all the naughties on offer to tempt us off the straight and narrow.

dogpal Yes with Rizzie (dog) having arthritis we have to play it by ear day to day how far to do his walks. Today he was fine and he has already been for a 3 mile walk with DH. Now he is snoring his head off for England

You are so right when you say that we are in charge of our weight loss and health no one else. That machine that you mentions for measuring body fat etc. sounds all singing and all dancing plus not to mention mega expensive It must be good to know where you are at and how healthy your are.

Realist Well done on the 7 pound loss for December that is great especially for this time of the year. Good for you for getting to your pre holiday weight. Great that you have got 1000 minutes in for the minute well nearly

sandybar Good for you on your non scale victory. These are just as important as those on the scales. It is hard breaking habits of a life time. I still struggle having coffee and not having the gooey cake to go with it I dread to thing how many calories I had consumed possibly my whole days quota today.

NoLifeWithoutHorses It is really hard to exercise when you have something wrong with you physically. I have really understand that this year with having two relapses in my MS which have made exercising impossible. When I had issues like that before they never really effected me badly as I just did not exercise so the impact was less. Trust me things do get better their is light at the end of tunnel though it may not seem like it at the time.

You can do this you can lose the weight and regularly exercise. You have started with earnest with eating on plan and fuelling your body with good food. The beautiful entry you have put down is so heartfelt and honest. You admitting these issues and moving forward is I think I must be the hardest step. I knew it hurt me when I owned up to myself and others that I had a real problem with food. The more I think of your entry it brings tears to my eyes. For two reason one as it was me to a tee and secondly I know what courage it took to write it down in black and white for all to see.

Must go to check on the lunch as I have it cooking at present. Do not want burnt offerings for dinner Take care everyone

Happy New Year to each and every one of you very special people!

The ticker has been changed and I am humiliated admitting I have added 13 pounds in the last few weeks. We are about 6 weeks from our cruise - my plan is to be back in the zone for 6 weeks by then. I have already told my sister I plan to exercise each day while on the cruise and she can join me or watch from a comfy lounge chair with each lap as I wave while I pass her by.

Possible or in my head but I've already got the sugar withdrawal headache. I'm hoping maybe it will be gone sooner than the normal three days I have it. I know exercise will help it - hmm - maybe I should get out of this chair!

Hi Again, I'm back

I have just remembered that over the holiday period I tried a recipe out on 3 guinea pigs Well Mum, Dad and DH it is a low fat chocolate pudding that is simple and easy to make.

That I took the recipe from we had it cold when it says it sets that is not strictly true. It is the consistency of custard. When i put it in the fridge to chill I put cling film (plastic wrap) on the top of the pudding to stop a skin forming. You let the cling film rest on top of the pudding but do not push the film in the dessert.

Everyone enjoyed the pudding if you want a more set pudding add more cornstarch though this will add a little more calories to the over all finish. one thing that is excellent about this site it can be easily adapted for as many as you want. It a good fix for those of us (namely my DH ) with a sweet tooth also good for anyone whom is diabetic as it a diabetic recipe.

gggirls I do not think that you are alone in admitting that you have put on the pounds over the Christmas festivities. It is good that you are recommitting and even planning to incorporate exercise into your daily regime whilst on the cruise. I am sure those pounds will melt away now that you are back on plan. I did exercise whilst I was away on holiday it was a nice feeling that by the end of holiday that I had not let my exercise slip over the holiday which is so easy to do.

I feel spoil today being able to answer posts and having a leisurely day. It is certainly nice to recharge the batteries so to speak. Bye and take care

Morning quick fly by..

Hubby got up this morning and said lets head to Flagstaff!! That is northern Arizona where there is some snow!!!!

We are also going on a hiking trail. Yeah exercise for me!! Will be back later this evening ..or tomorrow lol

I don't know what is come over me lately, all I can think of is making pillowcases. An odd compulsion to be sure, but not fattening at least. I choose fabrics suited to the person it is for.

Hello Ladies!

Happy First Day of 2009!!!! I spent the better part of last night catching up on how y'all are doing (YAY for Debi's brother leaving the hospital!) and setting myself up for success today. I am so happy we get a new start - 2008 has been incredibly hard and I'm looking forward to a different life in 2009.

Things I did last night:
* Planned my exercise for January.
* Created a new spreadsheet to track exercise.
* Created new weight-tracking log.

I also went to see my shrink yesterday. We agreed that the Zoloft has helped a little but not enough. We're increasing the dose from 50 mg to 100 mg and seeing what happens after 4 weeks. I pray this will work...I'm tired of this depression ruining my life!

I weighed myself today, and took my BMI with my fat loss monitor. I had a very difficult December as you all know but I'm thrilled to have not gained any weight. Total weight lost from Sept to Dec is 12.7 pounds. It's less than I hoped (14 lbs) - I was going for 4 lbs a month and this averages to a little more than 3 lbs a month. But, all things considered (depression, breast cancer scare, loss of goddaughter and godmother) I will take 3 lbs a month with glee.

My goals for 2009:
* Aerobic Exercise = 1,000 minutes per month.
* Weight training = 200 minutes per month.
* Thorough stretching after each workout.
* Lose at least 52 pounds (1 lb per week), though I'd be thrilled with more!
* Keep up the good work around eating disorders recovery.

I have other goals for this year too, that are not health related. I'll spare you those as this is turning out to be another epic post.

CHEERS to all of you! I'm grateful for your friendship and support in 2008. Here's a toast to a healthier, stronger and slimmer body for all of us in 2009.

Happy new years gang.

I woke to a happy moment, I weighed less than yesterday, and am down to 312.2. I am 1.2 pounds away from being NOT morbidly obese. Yahoo!! And I indulged some yesterday, BUT I made sure it fit into my calories. I hope to do that more often.

Other good news....DH ordered a bodybugg for himself as well (for his bday in February). Yeah, we could have waited for our bdays, but why put off something that we hope will give us more tools to make us healthy?

I have also bought a few hiking books. I am feeling less fat these days. My body just feels a little different. I am going to really push to try to hit 300 by the end of January. It is a very hefty goal for me, but that would feel so good. We will see how it goes. If not by end of January, definitely by end of February. Then hoping I wave goodbye to the 300s forever.

As you can see, I feel like I have hit my stride some. Exercise, definitely not where I want it to be (which is happy to do it). My bodybugg comes January 6th, so I think exercise should be a more happy time then because I will see the results. And that my friends is sweet. I do plan to go out for a walk today, maybe in the 45 to 50 minute variety.

On that note, let's have a great 2009. To me, 2009 wasn't all bad, it was pretty good. But I want to feel like a different person at the end of 2009. And I sure know time flies by, so I can use the time to be a better person, or whine when the time went by.

I got rid of the last frat boy about 1am last night. Today I have been cleaning and organizing. I got all the party cleaning done, put up and away all Christmas decorations, and now I'm getting ready to put my sewing machine back out to get ready to get some work done. I want to have everything organized so that I can start school without it disrupting my exercise schedule. I really feel like this is the time for me, and I want to make sure I don't get in my way.

Back in 2009
Wow. I can't believe 3FC signed me on using my old log in! It must've somehow known I'd be back.

I wanted to say hello to all my old friends here. I was checking out your posts today and I have to tell you that you all inspired me to come back. It's so good to see that several of you are still here.

I gained some since I was last here, but I've also lost some so I'm in a good place to come back. I am doing OK, but I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in October and my spirit is still a little down since then (I haven't been able to get back to feeling good since I had surgery). I am fatigued a lot, but I also do a lot ~ too much. I plan to change that this year.

One of my goals for 2009 is to start saying no to people more often and focus more on what is best for me. I also want help myself feel better this year. I need to get strong to be able to handle the tasks I have ahead of me from now through May (busy schedule). After that, I plan to spend the rest of the year pampering myself.

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and Type II diabetes this past August so I need to work on that as well. I have MANY reasons to come back and I'm so glad there's a place to come back to.

I send a shout out to all of the familiar people:

Ammi, I'm sorry you have Sweet's Syndrome. I will keep you in my prayers and I know you will get better and start to manage it. Don't beat yourself up about your gain. You did it once, you can do it again.

Dogpal, you are amazing! I remember when you first came on here and didn't think you could do it. Look how well you have done! (You can do all things through Him!)

Catherine and Lilion, so good to see you here!

There are so many people to say hi to ~ please forgive me if I don't include everyone.
