    I don't know if anyone noticed..but my current weight has already went from my starting of 152 (but at the first official weigh-in last monday was 154) to 146 now!! we'll see what it is at on monday...hopefully i didn't just jinx myself and wake-up on monday and gained 5 lbs!!! hehe I haven't been able to do any exercises since thursday because i caught something from somewhere and my lungs are loaded with phlem. yuck!!! but hopefully within the next few days i'll be better.
  • I'm probably a scary sight in a bikini - but I live in FL and I wore one to my pool today. Happy Me! I'm going again tomorrow. I actually took a photo and it's not bad at all...not that I'm going to share it publicly...but I was actually impressed because I didn't want to vomit at the photo I've been feeling pretty good about myself though...I mean, I've lost a ton of weight (54 lbs)...so that will do it...but I think even at my weight, I'm bikini acceptable
  • Wow, that's a lot of weight loss in a week RoseTears! Slow and hopefully steady seems to be more of my pace, but I'm not complaining, I'm really happy with the exercise I've been able to fit into my schedule.

    I had that banana smoothie you posted the recipe for with my dinner last night, and mmm mmm you were right, it's very good. I love the fluffy texture of it. A delicious milkshake that doesn't make me feel (or look) fat afterwards, what else could I ask for?

    WTG about wearing your bikini out gatormanda. That's a lot of weight you lost, and you deserve to feel great about the way you look! I think some people might wear a bikini at my weight too, but I've got a really high proportion of fat to muscle, so I think I can't pull it off yet. Make sure you wear sunblock!

    I decided I wanted to jump into this challenge after having spied on all of you for the last few days.

    I've actually NEVER worn a bikini in my life, and I think thats a shame. While I have many reasons to lose some weight, the bikini is one of the more fun ones! I would love to get into one and surprise everyone!

    My goal is for mid May, it actually doesn't get warm enough to swim 'round here until June. I'd like to lose 25 pounds and tone-up my body. My gym membership starts in March and I plan to go about it pretty rigorously. For now I'm counting cals and working with what I have to start buiilding muscle and flexibility.

    The real question is should I start looking for that great bikini and buy it for extra focus? What's your ideal bikini like?

    Oh Goodness! I sure do hope you get to feeling better. Its good to hear that you have lost a few pounds!!!!! Well keep up the eating good even though you cant exercise. Diet is half of the battle!

    yes it sure is alot of weight in one week...it's very motivating though. i had lost that amount of weight in 3 weeks on Nutrisystem and was thrilled. then i went off the plan for 3 days and gained 5 lbs back and got soooo mad. the same thing happened to me when i was on atkins so i knew i had to stop before i wasted a ton of money on NS only to gain it all back. so i went off NS all-together and went back up to 152, then i started my calorie cycling diet (fat loss 4 idiots) and lost all that in one week!! So now that I'm back down to where i was 3 weeks into the other diet program i can "resume" previous weight loss hehe i am really looking forward to getting down to 130 or if i gain muscle mass which is ok, atleast getting down to a size 6 or maybe even a 4 if i work real hard.

    a good thing you should look into taking is CLA if you are going to go hard at weight training. It will help your body retain muscle mass and burn fat, you will see results MUCH faster. this one i take and it works great: http://scrimbring.qhealthbeauty.com/...?itemno=100280

    as for the great bikini idea for focus...that's not a bad idea! as long as you have a relaistic idea of how small you can get your body so when it comes time to put it on, it fits! like an example, i would never go buy a size 2 because being 5'7" i'd NEVER fit into a size 2....unless i went on a cocaine binge lol but i'd look pretty scary! n my ideal bikini hmmmm good queston. i'm not sure i'll get an actual bikini but more or less a one piece that has a lot of realy sexy cut out pieces so it's kinda like playing peek-a-boo with my body. although i have seen alot of sexy 2 pieces i'd love to have.

    hey thanks girl! i'll get there soon enough. i broke down and bought some tylenol severe cold liquid medicine. hehe i took too much of it though and i feel kinda high from it! i haven't taken it in awhile and was kinda "pre-programmed" to take 3 tbsp instead of the normal 2 tbsp dose because when i weighed more i had to take more for it to work.

    how are you doing down there in TX?
  • My goal is to hit 50 lbs lost by my spring break - the first week in April. I think I can do it!! I'm treating myself with a few days at the spa that week.
  • Awesome. I got to wear my dress. I have a picture I was gonna put up here but I need to get it off of my boyfriends camera. I had a cheat day. It was Friday. It really hurt me. It ended up making me feel like poo. I ate too much grease. I think next time I will have a cheat meal instead of a day. Anyways my exercising is going great. I already have my future bikini picked out!!!! I am so excited. I can see good physical change so far and so I cant wait to actually get there!!

    I have never worn a bikini either. I have taken the first step by picking it out. I cant wait till I can look good in one. I am so glad that you jumped in to this challenge. I love this forum. It makes me want to do good so when I come and write a post I dont have to say I did anything bad. Its really strengthening to have this forum. I hope you find it as useful as I do!

    Just thought I would jump in here ..been lurking for a few days so I decided to get involved...I dont think I will be wearing a bikini ever again (have 7yr old) but I am looking forward to summer this year and hitting my GW!!....my mini goal is to drop 20 by April for a baby shower ..there will be some people there I haven't seen in a while and I would love to give them a big surprise...

    i've been doing miserably because i've been sick, so i haven't been to the gym all week and i've been pretty much eating whatever seems appetizing... at any rate i did NOT weigh myself yesterday and i think i might wait till next monday so i don't get too discouraged! this past week has been quite a setback.

    oh but as for my ideal bikini- it's the one i already own but haven't worn in PUBLIC (i have worn it in a friend's hot tub, but that was judgement free and i weighed a bit less at the time!). I want to fit back into it and look good!

  • Did you buy the bikini already or just find one you like? Maybe I'll look for some on the internet, but even if I woke up with a perfect 10 bod I don't know if I'd feel ready to show too much of my pasty white skin! Hehe.
  • Ha - I'm becoming bikini addicted...I bought a 2nd one from Target today..it's really cute...plus, I think I'm going on a beach date...so I figured I might need two because it may become a beach weekend...we shall see
