Morning Ladies!
So far I feel better.I passed out at about 8:15 and slept 10 hours! As to my 6 the other night .I do feel a difference.
Speaking of repairs we have someone to take at our wooden beams in the living room,seems as some of the exposed beams are lose and were afraid eventually it will come down.Jim put something to hold it up.With the little ones this makes me very nervous.Jim things its probably from a shift in fondation since we get a lot of water when it rains in this area.

Rhonda-Sorry your roofer did not show up!
Tech- Jim sometimes comes home like that after a busy day and me of course have been talking to my children all day I want to talk.At my last job while working in HR I use to be a speaker for new employee orientation every monday and it was an all day event and I remember getting SO sick of talking!
Gina- give an update on the meds!
Paula-Ive been to that zoo years ago and I remember the polar bears looked brown! their water was so nasty and it was like 95 degrees out you felt bad since it wasnt their natural habitat.
Frouf- Glad you had fun at the reception!

Hello ladies ......well I did it again . Ate off program and not a little bit
I am so sick of this struggle and just can not seem to stick to a plan . I am going to join a new gym today so that will get me exercising more. The meds are ok .feel no difference yet . Just tired and feeling like a failure latly . I am gratefull I have lost so much so far but whats my problem?
Tonight is a game.
Last game we lost and I almost was tossed for approaching the other coach . She was talking down to my girls and one of them were crying. I finally had the blue remove the coach from the field . I filed a complaint and she violated her code of ettics so will no longer be around children to upset them . What a b#%$# huh ?
Anyway just going to re group today and move on AGAIN !

What do you do to stay OP nad keep going ? Any tips . experiences, advice ? Bring it TIA

(((Gina))) Hang in there hon.I know you have been having a rough time.Maybe a new gym will help you get motivated again. I guess for me what keeps me going is I want it bad enough.Its important for me and my health and my kids.And darn it I want to look good! what also works for me is the exercise,I eat non core mostly from my APS and that helps me to be satisfied and not make it seem like a diet ya know? If I have 2 APS that I worked for,I allow myself to have something.And nothing WAY off non core.Like those oats and chocolate Fiber one bars.They fix my sweet tooth.I dont go totally off the wagon and go get a cheesecake ya know? But core works for me food wise.I also made some cards part of my therapy weight loss book of the advatages of losing weight and I bring those out as a daily reminder to myself why I'm doing it.I also give myself credit,which is sometimes hard,like right now my scale doesnt seem to be moving but I remeber to give myself credit by saying "hey you did exercise that helps other things other than the scale,hey you ate well today,hey you've lost 38lbs thus far etc" It really helps me.I know sometimes we just need a few weeks to let our bodies adjust to what were doing.I'm sure a lot of us jumped to another diet when we didnt see the results we wanted and jump and jump to different diets.I would think with your meds you need to give yourself time to adjust with a new way of eating.You will also find that when you think you totally went off plan you didnt.I rmeber when I think I totally went off plan I ate 2 chips ahoy cookies and half fiber one bar after 7.I looked at it and tallied up my calories and realized between eating my core food and my mom core food I only at about 1100 and i felt so much better.Stop beating urself up!

Good morning all. Its beautiful weather here and its Friday!!! Dh is going to a car flea market this weekend so its just me and Sarah tonight and all day tomorrow. For mom's day he will be off in the morning so we are going to take my mom to breakfast. Should be a nice weekend.


Gina, HUGS to you. The new meds could take 2 weeks to take affect. Did your doctor schedule new blood work? Mine usually does a new round about 6 weeks after he adjusts my levels. The last time mine were off it took about 6 months to get them back in line. Be sure to follow up. The gym is a great idea -- also, what about a new outfit for the summer to help as a motivator? I have a bathing suit hanging on my bedroom door as a reminder. So far its working.

Tiki, I agree about the zoo. It was definatly a bit run down in my opinion, maybe because it was right along the highway. Have you been to Southwick Zoo? Much nicer, we'll go there again this summer. Any luck finding some farm stands in your area?

Gina - hang in there - you know what to do - just need to find that motivational spark again - and if you can't just think of it as one meal at a time- don't obsess to much and try to make the best choices possible.

I agree w/Tiki on the 'self-talk' (great job Tiki by the way - might steal the idea of the 'cards') - we are our own worst enemies - try to focus on the positive and don't dwell on the things you did not do well.

And I'm glad you spoke up about that coach - it's supposed to be fun for the girls and they are not supposed to be made to feel awful enuf to cry! How terrible for them!

Sunshine today - very hot again - heat wave breaks tomorrow with more normal temps - I will be busy w/dd tomorrow - have to hunt down some umbrella for her jazz number (It's Raining Men) - and then supposedly she needs new underwear and bras - now that should be fun (NOT). Then off to stand in a long line of moms desperate to get front row seats to the recital - wish me luck!

May be going out for lunch w/work colleague today - awaiting news from her re availability - otherwise I will have to wing it - altho I do have some 'emergency' cans of tuna here which I can supplement with a salad from downstairs if required.

Hoping to bbq again tonight (last night dh did steaks on the bbq which were excellent - going to try for chicken tonight!)

well, curtis is now officially a ww core member. he joined this am. we had a huge lunch (core) at home afterwards. then he edged the beds and is now taking a nap. so far so good. i'm so glad he's joined. he's not very overweight, but it will definitely help his aching joints when he loses some extra pounds.

frouf, what i meant by ya'll looked like you were having a wonderful trip, is that you and dd were definitely building memories. i think it's her job as a teenager to have a sour look on her face. i'm not sure, but i think that's pretty normal.

rhonda, i love your story of hummingbirds. aren't they special? curtis and i had one dining on the front porch while we had lunch today. we have 2 feeding here right now. life is good.

Well I got some smiles out of dd tonight as off we went on our 'shopping spree' - yes tonight instead of tomorrow - which I thought was a great idea so that at least most of the morning/afternoon will be free and I can relax (and maybe get a pedicure??). Got her some tops, the umbrella for dance class, some little canvas flats (2/$30), some more shirts, and then off to the bra store for some 'non-ugly' bras - expensive but worth it I hope - she is quite 'well endowed' for her age and can't wear those flimsy la senze bras her friends wear - esp when she is dancing!

Did not really eat dinner when I got home - cuz i wanted to get out with her as early as possible so made myself a turkey sandwich and headed out! Dh did the bbq chicken which I understand was yummy (and lots of LO for tomorrow).

Congrats to Curtis for becoming a core member - so is he going to join us on the chat board now

I have been very bad today Guess I'm trying to eradicate the restraint I showed last week! Well, I have only my godson's son's second birthday party on Sunday to tempt me. I think I can manage since I won't stay long with all the shrieking toddlers around.

Morning All,

I haven't been doing too badly, I rode to work Tues and Thurs, walked at the park Mon, and went to Curves Wed and Fri. Now eating....Actually it hasn't been that bad. I was at the grocery store last night after work and Curves and those chips and dip were just calling my name, I caved. But I only had a little when I got home and then we made the dinner we had planned even though it was 8:30. This used to be normal for us but lately we've been trying to eat between 7 and 7:30 so it felt weird.

Today will be totally non-core, but I'm going to try to keep it lower cal. I'm having my mom and mil and sisters, sil and niece over for a mother's day tea. I've already made the deserts (and have stayed out of them since Wed ). Today I have to make the sandwiches, and straighten up the house (not enough time to clean ). Then my in-laws are hanging around to look at our trip next week, and we're supposed to order in pizza. I'll have a big salad with it.....I will just do the best I can.

Rhonda - yes I said 3000, yesterday there were even more, and next week will be even more on Thurs and Fri. But then we should slow back down. Makes the day go faster but it sure is tiring. Hope the roofer shows up or you can get another estimate in a timely fashion.

Vickie - How's it going?????

Patti - Yea on the maintain, sometimes our body just needs time to adjust.

Gina - All I can say is try not to focus on what you didn't do, but what you have. You're very active, and as my leader said, while you may not have been perfect you probably are better than you would have been before WW. I know it's easier said than done, but hang in there.

Tiki - I know you've said this before, but how many kids do you have? Glad you got some sleep.

Sandra - hummingbirds are so cute to watch, my mom has a feeder in her yard. If I did I could probably watch my cat stalk....not quite so cute.

Frouf - Glad you enjoyed your alumni party. I'm sure you didn't do to bad. I'm going to have to ask my mom if shopping with me was the adventure you make it sound. Of course she had 3 girls each 2 years apart. (when I was 14 my sisters were 12 and 9.5).

Good Morning Chicks. I'm here. I'm not doing well on program or in life. I'm doing the best I can; not purely Core but trying to eat well.

Lots of stuff is going on/going wrong. I won't bore you all with the details. The worst of it is that Jim has a sore spot in his mouth again where they removed the pre-cancer from under his tongue last June 28th. I'm trying not to be frantic and scare him more. The quickest specialist appointment we could get was May 22nd.

The rest is annoying but doesn't seem to even matter.

I forced myself to weigh in last Tuesday evening at WW. I usually weigh in the morning with no breakfast. I gained 3.6. I was upset but I can't even say that it phased me much. I'm just not mentally in a very good place. I do intend to exercise later to try and help my stress levels.

Thanks to all of you who missed me. I'm not giving up....just hanging on by my fingertips. Prayers would be greatly appreciated for my Honey Lamb. I'm praying that it's nothing.

I am feeling ok . I restarted and refocused and I have come so far .....no turning back now. Thank you all for encouraging me and being here when I need a push and GREAT ADVICE

Game last night ....we lost in the score but the other team was so mis behaved . My girls were respectful and happy and cheering eachother on . I ended up with 8 of the 13 sleeping over ! ha ha YES I did it ....I must be nuts . I rented the bad news bears and we ordered pizza . In the morning I made chocalate chip pancakes . I stayed with my food choices . We had pratice today at 9 am so I carted them there and now I am down to 5 girls still here. We will be taking a walk on the trail today .I even finished laundry and cleaned the house so....... lets just say My meds seem to be working! Yeah
I think I will take a break now for ME and read for awhile . I bought a motivational book on tajing control of your emotions and refocusing your stress in a positive way .
Hmmmmmmm I dont know if I missed anything . I will check back later .

Rhonda -you teenager you ;D staying up til midnight! What's on the agenda for the weekend?

So I tried to sleep in of course but the eyes were open and brain working at around 7 am - lazed around a bit and finally got up for breakfast - then I actually lay down again around 10:30 am and FELL BACK ASLEEP til 12:30 - wow!

Had to do some errands (yes forgot we needed a pair of pink tights for the ballet costume - luckily they had some in dd's size), get more coffee at Starbucks, buy more SUPER EXPENSIVE gas for my car, then off to the dance studio to line up for recital tickets. So cute a row of chairs set outside for all the moms to sit on (I arrived around 2:45 pm for 4 pm ticket sales and was #5 in line!

Had to buy 12 tickets - got them in the 4th row - then dh calls as I exit and says we need 3 more tickets (sil called!) - so back in I go (remember we had to line up!) and looking very upset I say I forgot I needed 3 more tickets - kinda push back in line - and got 3 more in the row in front of us - thank goodness!

Now waiting for dd to get 'dressed' cuz it's back to the studios for picture taking!
