Default Hi

The funny thing, at any other time in my life; I belonged to only the top gyms in the area example "Lifetime Fitness." It is a beautiful place with beautiful people. However, at this time in my life, I belong to a real "hole in the wall gym." It has everything needed to get to my goals. It does not have a name that I can remember and it is now my fitness home.

I am just starting, and want to get my food/eating under control and on plan before I try to start working out again. Also, I have found before that taking off some of the weight first helps make it easier when I do start exercising. But I have never been a gym person really. Last go round I got in great shape at home just using Jillian Michael's routines. Aggravated my big strong welder husband, 'cause I was in better shape than he was.

I think I avoid the gym because I turn beet red and my face sweats a LOT when I exercise. Kind of embarrassing, and it really worries people. I have to keep reassuring them that I really am fine!

Default What works for you is what you do

What works for you "works." I workout at home at times. I am a visual person and enjoy being around others with fitness goals. My friends/family (other than my husband) could careless regarding getting healthy. I have done everything possible to lay the foundation towards greater health. With that being said, I am far from perfect and sometimes old habits like, drinking "pop" for people not from the mid-west "soda" take over. I no longer make excuses and just daily work forward. Guilt is a waste of energy.

Hi Ladies,
Absolutely there is no point or time for guilt! Anything that works works!
I am feeling a titch bummed because my weight loss has been at the same point for a while. Thought after this week and TOM, it would drop because I can feel that I am holding water. Gottta just keep going, right? Also, not having a glass of wine this weekend.

Plus, it's going to be fall here in a but right? Right?

Hope it's a great week for you both! Just finished a couple hours of chopping and food prepping. It is not the most exciting, but it is ready. Hope it's a good one . . .

I think fall has arrived, at least based on the number of leaves on my porch, it thinks it has! I have a pin oak right in front of my house, and I look up at how many leaves are still on it and shudder. Totally unreal.

My husband has been off in Colorado elk hunting for the last week, and should be home by Saturday. So today is "get the kitchen organized" day. I have been setting up for (and eating on) my new meal plan for the last week or so while he was gone, but it's kind of cluttered. He'll be in for a surprise when he gets home! For once, I'm going to make it a little bit about me. I don't care if he and my son can eat anything on the planet and not gain weight, I can't! So they can live with what I eat, or cook for themselves.

Default New Day

Wow, the last week, just crazy. I think that this has been the best time in my life to change my life. Working out intensely I feel alive. My husband is in the gym with me and just as happy. We are living and enjoying each day. Wow, the last 2 1/2 years of my life have taught me to never give up on my health style goals. They are just as important as my professional goals or even more so. Have a great week!
