Thanks for the link to the Wendie Plan SoMuchFattitude. I think I might've hit my first plateau and I'm not sure what to do. My body does not seem to want to get away from 83kg and I'm not sure I'll lose anything this week, despite exercising six times and not eating any weekly points (probably will tomorrow at engagement party however).

I don't eat my weekly points or activity points because I'm afraid I won't lose at all if I do. I definitely couldn't eat all of them, unless I was having a big splurge, but maybe I could try and eat more and see if it makes a difference.

Very annoying that I probably won't lose anything this week after working so hard. It is my TOM so maybe that makes a difference.

I did have a NSV yesterday though. Went to go try and buy some cheap but nice clothes for family pictures on Sunday and I've dropped two dress sizes.

Man, am I looking forward to saying goodbye to the 80s though...

Flickety - I want to join a yoga class. There is one here at my job after work on Mondays and I'm thinking of dropping in to see if I like it and want to continue. It's kind of hard to relax around work folks, though.

SoMuchFattitude - I love your attitude. I was a pretty feisty one back in the day, to the point where I stopped getting invited out because of altercations between me and men that would express interest in ways that I didn't like. I made friends with A LOT of bouncers in my early 20's. Haha

Sunarie - Thank you! I do try to be an organized person. I actually menu plan exactly the same whether I'm weighing in or not, which is probably why my weight seems to be pretty consistent. These few pounds, though

My weigh in was .6 higher than last week. I'm going to attribute that to TOM and to a few more snacks than normal. I used almost all of my weeklies for the first time in my life. That's a no-go. Apparently I have to stick to using 10 or fewer to lose. I hate seeing my little chart go up!

Flickety_switch - Whoo on dropping two dress sizes! I can't wait till I actually start to drop clothing sizes. Takes a lot since I'm starting out a lot larger. The 30ish lbs I've lost total (15 before I joined 3fc) has meant me going from a tight fitting size 20 to a loose fitting size 20, but the 18s are still a little too tight to be comfortable. Different brands so that could be it. Few more weeks and hopefully I'll be down a size.

Munchy - It could just be totally TOM related. I've seen girls gain a lot more than .6lbs during TOM and that's without having snacky stuff. Keep positive though. Looking at your meal plans you've been eating healthy, which is awesome

My parents surprised me today with an email saying they're renting a house for our family Disneyworld trip that's suppose to happen Christmas 2016. Very nice gesture of them, but I was the one planning the trip for my son, and invited them.. and they didn't really talk to me before they did it. So not really sure what dates and all they picked out, and me and boyfriend were kinda wanting to stay in the park so we didn't have to worry about transportation. Plus if you stay in the park some of the parks are open later/earlier and all that nice stuff. So.. get to talk to them about that. We may still be staying in the park. Really wish they would have confirmed with me before sending an e-mail out to the family and all. My mom does tend to take over planning stuff though. She's one of those that plans vacations down to every last detail/minute.. and I just don't work like that. That's not relaxing to me. That'll be a fun conversation!

On the plus side, it would be a helluva lot cheaper to do it that way. So..I dunno. The place is pretty huge, and sleeps 14.

Hi all! Been an on-and-off'er for a few years now, but joined WW Online recently as it's the only 'diet' I've really ever had lasting success with. I've been overweight my whole adolescence and adulthood (turning 30 this year *cough*), and just kind of ready to stop. I spent the last two years living in London, England and ended up losing 40lbs. from stress and the fact that I had to walk everywhere! Now I'm back at home in Canada, and I now have a very sedentary job and lifestyle (I was teaching in London so I was always on my feet, now I work in a call centre) which is impacting my ease of weight loss. I've gained a few pounds back since I came home, and I want to stop that trend and go the other way instead.

I don't really like to exercise, which is a problem, obviously. I do have aspirations of being a runner but at the moment it's terribly cold where I am so I can't really do anything outside, and I don't have a vehicle to get myself to a gym very conveniently/on a regular basis. Home workouts don't really work for me, as there are 5 adults living in my house so it's crowded and there's not much space for working out. How do you beat the winter blahs and get moving?

Welcome Phae! I too find it hard to exercise as I have a very busy job that I travel a bit for and I commute an hour+ each way to work.

However, I schedule it into my diary like a meeting. At the moment, I do two yoga classes a week and three or four treadmill walks. A treadmill doesn't take up too much room, maybe you could try that? Or do DVD workouts like 30 Day Shred or Yoga Meltdown?

I had WI today and only lost 0.4kg (0.8 pounds) which is frustrating as I had a pretty good week but to be honest I'm happy to have any loss at all as the scale wasn't moving all week and I had pizza and cake last night at our engagement party.

Not sure what to do as my weight loss is definitely slowing but I fly to another city for work tomorrow for a week so I will just concentrate on trying to eat well and going for walks as I'll be away from my treadmill and yoga classes and we'll see where the scales fall next week.

Welcome Phae! I am also turning 30 this year. On February 10th in fact I do home workouts, and like you.. I don't like exercise. What works best for me is scheduling. I have to make it part of a routine just like brushing my teeth. With 5 people in the house a home workout may be difficult. The strength routine I do is pretty basic and doesn't require a lot of space. It's basically this stuff, no equipment needed! http://www.youbeauty.com/body-fitnes...aining-at-home

Flickety_switch - Yay for the loss still. I have some weeks where I don't lose anything at all. Be proud of yourself for keeping accountable for what you're eating!

Had a talk with my mom. She didn't get the house yet, the email was just worded funny. She sent it out because she got really excited, and realized after that she'd kinda jumped the gun. Talked it over with boyfriend and we're gonna stay in the house with the family, so it'll save us money and all too. I did mention that it was suppose to be my vacation and all too, and that a vacation for me means no schedules and all, and she agreed that she wouldn't do the normal planner stuff. So yay for that

Weighed in today down .4, finally coming down some off my plateau. Just 10.4 pounds away from getting back to attending free. Have lost 49 pounds so looking forward to hitting 50.

Flickety_switch - Plateaus occur when we don't have a calorie deficit. Mostly when we've lost some weight the eating that used to cause a loss, no longer does since we burn fewer calories. It is so frustrating though. I was on one for 3 months....

As for not eating any Weekly points or activity points, you put yourself in a very inflexible position if you do that. Remember, daily points are a minimum. So you then end up having to eat the exact same number of points each day (you can't eat less than the minimum - shouldn't anyway - so if you don't eat weekly or APs then you have to eat the same points each day). That isn't a way of eating that is sustainable for a lifetime for most people. So I would encourage eating at least some of either your weekly points or APs on at least some days.

Phae - Perhaps you could get some videos that don't require much room. I've sometimes done Leslie Sansone walking in place videos and they take up very little space. Sounds boring but really isn't. You can find some on them to watch on You Tube.

Thanks for the advice, all. I'm feeling challenged today because it's my TOM and I'm ravenous. I've been tracking what I'm eating, but nothing seems to be filling me up. I'm also incredibly fatigued and achey. It sucks.

This is my first full week of WW so when I weigh in tomorrow, I'm not expecting a great result....

Grats on getting away from the plateau Koshka!

My weigh in today was 228.8. So finally completely back to pre-christmas weight. That's a .6lb loss from last week, but I was expecting something smaller this round for a few reasons. I had a bigger drop last week than usual (1.8lbs) and for whatever reason my body doesn't seem to want to pull away from 229/230. This is where I was all of December until I gained over Christmas.. so hopefully that number just keeps dipping.

Flickety - No prob; plateaus are SO frustrating. I hear it.

Munchy - I've always had a mouth on me. It tends to get me in trouble. lol. The weeklies are there for a reason, lady! Don't feel guilty when you eat them!!!

Sun - I'm a planner. It stresses me when there aren't plans. I get where your mom was coming from. I know I can overstep my boundaries with "taking over", but always have the best intentions. YAY TO PRECHRISTMAS WEIGHTS!!!!

Phae - WELCOME! Where there's a will, there's a way. I'm battling the whole running outside thing currently too. I went over to the Exercise thread and gave a million reasons why I couldn't with my schedule and everything and kept getting the same response, if I want it bad enough, I'll make it happen. It's the truth, as sucky as that is. lol

Koshka - congrats on the loss. I'm with you. I am more inclined to stall if I don't eat my weeklies.

--

I had a good long weekend! I did my 3 mile AND 6 mile run over the weekend. I won't lie - running with an additional 46 pounds on my frame is DAMN hard, BUT - I did it. And will continue to do it. I felt great after. I used all but two of my weeklies over the weekend, which is how I roll with WW. I earned 25 activity points, too. Haven't touched those.

Weighed in at WW on Saturday and was down 2.8lbs!

The scale has been all over the place though. I was at a low on Friday morning, then ran 3 miles and was up a pound for my official weigh in on Saturday, after my weigh in sat ate out and was definitely sodium spiked. Sat night I was sick as a dog (maybe a touch of food poisoning?) and I skipped dinner. Sun morning I felt fine, scale was up another pound and I went for a 5 mile run. Mon morning the scale was down and then today UP FIVE POUNDS?! WTF? So annoying, but whatever. Saturday is what matters! My weight would always spike after my long runs at my lightest. Anyone get a spike after endurance training?

SoMuchFattitude - Planning is good for some stuff.. but I dunno. She does every day down to the hour, and that I just can't do. Obviously we want dates picked and where we're gonna stay well ahead of when we go, though 2 years ahead is a bit much, we can't even reserve anything right now, lol. I just don't want her planning what time we need to eat, and which restaurants we're going to on what days.. cause I wanna explore, it's a big park! Not only that but it's a huge family vacation.

In total it'll be me, boyfriend, son, my mom, stepdad, sister, 2 brothers, my dad, stepmom, her 2 sons, boyfriend's mom and dad, and his sister. So some of the time is going to be divided because.. well my parents get along with each other, but don't want to spend the whole day together. And parents don't get to monopolize the entire 8 day drip with their grandson, they have to share. Originally my mom said she didn't want my dad to go even.. but it's the only trip we'll probably take to Disneyworld, and my son is his grandson too. Not to mention my mom use to have my ex over -all- the time, to the point where he hung out with my family more than me, and she'd get hurt when I didn't wanna go over there while he was there (which my brother eventually got through her head).. so I'm making her tough it out. It's a big park (or parks really), they don't have to see each other.

Annnnyway. Congrats on the big loss (cause that's the only one I'm paying attention to). Way to go running too! I typically don't exercise on the weekends, so.. just me being lazy to report there, lol. I am a bit sore from my strength stuff yesterday. I've never really done endurance training so can't speak to the spikes.

So muchfatittude- I definately get a spike after weight training, and sometimes are hard trying days. Last Wednesday I swam, ran and did functional strength training and was up the next morning. I get all over weigh in as well. Was down to 164.8 on Sunday and yesterday I stayed within my DPs but was up to 166 this morning. I think it is my cycle and I know I am down for the week but still frustrating.

Sun - yeah, I guess two years out is a little excessive. I personally find planning fun. (Perhaps that's why professionally, I've been transitioning into a project management role. lol) I'm super organized and get a great deal of joy from it. I made DH a powerpoint last year of all the places I wanted to vacation with the entire financial breakdown of each location, amenities, etc. I won't plan the day out, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't irk me when people sleep til noon. I'm up at 5am every day so sleeping til 630 IS sleeping in. Even when we go to the beach, I'm at up 6am and running to the sun rising. Ahhh - I need the beach now. *opens PowerPoint for a new presentation*

Dixie - glad to know I'm not alone! It's so frustrating. Makes you wanna throw the exercise towel in!

-----

Going to the Atl Hawks game tonight with DH and another couple. DH is a HUGE basketball fan. Mid-week social events really throw me for a loop, but I sent an email out so we could predetermine dinner so I could plan. I'm going with the shrimp cocktail (4pp), edamame (3pp) and two glasses of wine (9pp)! I feel great about this and really do hope I'm able to stay on plan.

Also, Friday night we are going to MidEval Times with the inlaws- which means MORE stress. I weigh in Saturday morning and now I'm paranoid about a sodium spike. Whomp whomp. Here's the menu How many points for that, do you think?

I feel lazy lately. I know I need to get back into the gym (even bought myself 2 new gym outfits AND a new sports bra) but I can't find my ipod, I'm too busy, {insert any excuse here}.

I just feel time running out, especially with the pressure of wedding dress shopping. I'm contemplating getting a dress made instead. I went to a store, but didn't have an appointment so it was uneventful. I just can't visualize myself anywhere close to where I want to be and I can't seem to find anything that would be flattering on my body right now. Yesterday I ate 16pts and I thought I was going to throw up from being full (a slaw/picadillo mix and soup for dinner did that). Then I was just in a terrible mood because I felt the bloat and felt like I just ruined everything - even staying in my point range

I'm down. Really, really down.

Munchy,

First of all, you will be gorgeous no matter what your weight is!

I was going through what's on your menu thread and noticed you pretty consistently eat under 1000 calories a day. Do you think maybe your mood is effected by it?

When I don't eat enough I can't lose weight, I have no energy, I hate working out, and I'm just overall in a bad place.

Just a thought...
