I will not miss losing the fruit too much...but I will miss that starch! I usually have a cereal bar for breakfast, half a sandwich for lunch, and another starch (sometimes limited) for dinner.

You mentioned string beans Diane....are they canned? You also mentioned in an express P....what is that?

Argh!!! I was up today. Why is this going soooooooo slooooooow?

In other news, the cursing is bad, but what's even worse is the complaining and the personal data. I mean, you're not her shrink, hairdresser or bartender. You're her client. She needs to leave that s*** (ha ha) at home.

Bunny-

You could be up from what water retention or what you were wearing or the time of day you went to the center! Dont get too concerned yet. Next time you go you will be down!

I took a vacation day today so I could finish studying for the exam I have tonight. Wish me luck!!! I am going to the center when it opens this morning for a study break. Until then....I must hit the books!

Have a great day everyone.

I went to weigh in for a study break but they were repaving the lot. There was no way to get to the center.....and no where to park. They must be closed today. I will have to wait until Saturday to see if I made it out of the 260s!

Jibbelle:
The LA express that I do, have Express proteins there is string cheese, canadian bacon, peanut butter, Ricotta cheese, these are only some of them. The string beans that I use are frozen. I don't think I have had anything canned maybe fruit once in a while when there is not much of a selection in produce.
Good luck with the test. And out of the 260's.
Bunny I know how you feel, be patient you will get there.
I do not know how many times a week you go to get weighed but sometimes I think it is worse going three times a week.
So would you say something to the manager about the language I would hate for something like that to make me feel uncomfortable.

Diane-
I have never heard of Express proteins. Peanut butter!!!! YUM!!! I eat everything fresh except for a rare can of fruit as well. I buy veggies frozen on occassion too.

My test last night was terrible. This class is ridiculous. I am a biochemist taking biochemistry and I am going to get a C. Our professor is terrible...he is NOT an good educator. His tests are completely unfair. ARGH!!! I guess all I can do is my best, but if I dont get an A or B my company will not reimburse me for the class...which cost $1455. If I thought I wouldnt get a good grade I never would have taken it to begin with. I can not afford to spend that much money on one class!

I have heard that stess keeps you from losing weight...but I am hoping that isnt the case with me for the week. I really want to make it under 260 Saturday when I go weigh in.

Breakfast: cereal bar and some cottage cheese
Snack: brought a chocolate crunch bar
Lunch: too lazy to pack it...hope something good is in the cafateria

i'm on my way to do payroll.. gotta run... then hope to make it to center.. will let u know...

Smile shouting from the rooftops

Hey Ladies,

I just got back from the center... quick turn around trip... no energy for any other stops. I am tickled... I was down 2 - 3/4 pounds. I had not been all week due to this flu bug. I was worried, because having run fever & chills... I hadn't been drinking all my water, which isn't usually my problem... had too many cola's & gatorade... But, the good news... I had lost weight! Hooray!

I was excicited also... because I had bought some new digital scales for the house... thought if they didn't work I would return... they were only 1 pound off from those at the center... the old scales we had were dinosaurs... I hope that they are that near the same next week... then I will be pleased.

My counselor told me that she needed to measure me... then she forgot... it occured to me as I was walking out the exit door... I stepped back in & said excuse me, "we seemed to have forgot my measurements." Then, I told her that we could just wait till next week if that suited her... that way I wouldn't be breathing on her... just in case that i am still contagious. She said fine... However, the point that I am making is that they just seem to rush more & more... oh well, I was pleased with myself & I held my tongue & I tried to be considerate.

Well enough about me...

I hope that everyone has a GREAT weekend!

Diane... look at you... nearly in GOAL position... that's swell! Good Luck... keep it up! you have come so far... I'm proud of you. I've never heard of the LA Express proteins.. p'nut butter, etc.

Bunny, I hope that you are having a better OP time... don't be too hard on yourself... hang in there... those stubborn pounds will move.... & fluid retention can be a bear. Try changing the time of day you eat... eat dinner earlier if possible.

Marcie, I hope that you had a nice week & I hope that you have an even better weekend...

Ya'll all take care & those of you that I failed to mention... sorry, but hubbies home & he wants some attention... he came in early... wants to go to playoff ballgame... I don't really need to sit out in night air... but... told him I would... let me gather cushions & blankets, etc.

Take care everyone!

Hi Nancy:
They discontinued the La express when they brought in the Take-off and they call the take off express also, I think they just wanted the extra $ 24.00 for the juice. The Old manager said as long as I kept the paper I could still follow the LA express and I can do it each week and it is not as harsh as the 2-day take-off.
I did get measured on Wednesday I do not think she really knew how to do it, I had to tell her where the measuring tape went. She did not use the scale to well either she had 1/4 has 3/4 to me that is a 1/2 pound difference.
The past two days have been unsettled for me I am not following the program totally adding a little cheat hear and there trying to get over it so I can get finished.
Jibbelle that is alot of money for a class I hope also that you did better than you think you did.
My weigh in is tomarrow I hope I did not do to much damage.
I hate going up in a week, I feel like I wasted a week and I really do not want to pay for any more weight loss weeks.

Nancy-
Congrats on the loss! WOOHOO for you! As far as measuring goes....they did my measurements the first day and only once since then (in 3 months). They are slacking!

Diane-
There was a girl at our center that could not read the scales either. She was always off by a half pound. Is it really that difficult???? Good luck at your weigh in tomorrow!

Marcie-
Down two pounds since Tuesday?? That is great. Keep it up and you will be at your Christmas goal before you know it. Thanks for the words of encouragement about the test.

I found out this afternoon that I an interview Monday afternoon. Not for the Augusta job, but for a different position in Regulatory Affairs. I REALLY want this job. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I need to see if I have any suits that fit...I may have to go buy something this weekend.

I am weighing in tomorrow so I will post again! Have a great weekend all!

Default attention

Hey Girls,

Guess what... we didn't go to the game afterall... he was just glad to get me off the computer...

No, he said that he knew that I really shouldn't be out in the night air... he's listening to it on the radio... our Tigers are ahead 14 to nothing... i hope that it's a blow out... that way he didn't miss a close game.

Marcie, I'm so glad to hear that you are down... weight that is... good going! Keep it going! It's so nice to hear from you... have you started walking?

Diane, I imagine that you do get feeling a little itchy as you are nearing the goal line... just take a deep breath & recall the long road that you have traveled... Cross that finish line.... & don't look back... I hope that you are soon and from ear to ear. Then I hope that you are able to maintain with ease... while you gradually re-introduce some other foods...

Jibbelle, I have my fingers crossed and am sending you a little to watch over you & bring you luck for the new job that you really want. I HOPE THAT IT ALL WORKS OUT! I also hope that the scales are going down, down, down... for you... anxious to hear... keep us posted.

I like to thank each of you for congratulating me on my loss.... when she said 218... all I could say was in the teens... oh, boy... she laughed... thanks Jibbelle... I could hear you routing for me! Thanks each & everyone of you for all your support!

Enjoy the weekend! & drink lots of water...

Has anyone tried the new diet coke with lemon....? it's good when it's good & chilled.

Nancy

Angry

I am down 1.4 lbs for the week! That puts me at 258.8. I made it out of the 260s!!! I have 10.8 lbs to lose to get to my Christmas goal. I think that is doable if I stay away from the pumpkin pie!!

Who else is weighing in today? *keeping my fingers crossed for you*

I am getting ready to go thru the closet to find a suit to wear to my interview Monday. If I dont find anything I have to make a trip to the mall....ick.

Take care all!
