Anj - I need hot sauce advice. To be perfectly honest Texas Pete satisfies my needs but I'm quite sure it's not the best thing out there. I'd like to try more but it's a bit overwhelming with all the crazy labels. I like things fairly spicy but I'm not chomping down on habaneros either. To give you an idea I generally triple cayenne pepper in any recipes, buy hot salsa etc. Any recommendations that are pretty wildy available?
ETA - TP meets my needs because I enjoy the flavor but it's not really hot enough.

I've gone to the store to buy only red pepper flakes before. It's pretty much up there with water on the need list. Hot stuff does make my nose run however. Also makes my already rosy cheeks redder but whatever.
btw - I do recall why it's been so long since I've had the chickpea cutlets - I eat too many. Still in calories for the day but more then I wanted to do. bah. Okay work now. Later dudettes.
This month's Runners World says 30 calories a day of dark chocolate (for example: 1 and 1/2 dark chocolate Hershey's kisses) reduces blood pressure.
Funny, my blood pressure shot up at the idea of portioning out that small amount of chocolate per day. Are they kidding? Who is this whack job that could cut a Hershey's kiss in half and only eat part of it?
I need a food delivery system. Deliver only the food I can eat for the day every morning. If I scarf it all down- oh well it's all I have. They would include 1.5 kisses.

And right here we have a multi-million dollar business idea.
I'm hungry. Our entire schedule is screwy now, thanks to the "issues" in our house.
Food. I need food. I waited too long for food and I'm hungry. I hate that. I haven't eaten much all day, because I'm still nauseous from yesterday. My oldest woke up vomiting today, so blah.
I may end up having cereal for dinner, at this rate. Or, plain toast. I'm sure the toast would be better for me. You know...Why is it that when you don't eat, you gain (the entire 6 lbs you just lost) weight?
Sit down and drink some water and then make a sensible choice.
Lice have been one of my biggest fears since the kids started preschool. They do head checks every Monday and so far our 16 student preschool has been clear. I've never had it and I see no reason to start at 33.
Finally! I wonder what's going on with 3FC servers. Twice in 2 days.

I use Tabasco and/or Texas Pete for when nothing else is available basically "I'm in desperate need" of some hot sauce . In fact, I prefer Texas Pete over Tabasco. But they're not hot enough for me & I don't buy them. That said, there are n number of Hot Sauces available as you know and I'm an addict. I get the regular Cholula (it's not the hottest) but it's got enough flavor with some heat. And I use it in Mexican dishes sometimes.
Are you looking for hot sauce with flavor or just pure heat? I have both types so I use whatever I feel like at that moment.
In my traditional cooking I use green chilies (small thin green ones I think called Thai) and cayenne & crushed red pepper sometimes. But for any other type of cooking hot sauce preferably with mild flavor but more heat. I have also bought fresh Habanero but please use gloves to chop it saying that from personal experience . I've used it in pastas and lasagna & it gives a wonderful pure heat flavor (use it in moderation). And if you do ever buy the fresh habanero go with the green/orange ones not yellow as it has a mild smokey flavor. At least the one I bought and it ruined my black eyed pea dish.
My few standards:
- Jardine's Sontava Habanero XX hot - It has mild flavor but good heat. And it's vegan from what I'm reading based on the ingredients. Unless I missed something.
- Wing Time Buffalo Wing sauce (I use Hot and Super Hot) - For you I'd recommend go with medium to start with to see if it's hot enough for you. Super Hot version is my favorite but it's pretty hot . And it has good flavor. I use it on pizza a lot mixing it with my tomato sauce. I think its Vegan.
- Red Hot XXX - I use it sometimes not always.
- Red Savina Pure HabaneroSauce - Unopened but I'm sure it's good. And it's Vegan.
For Asian:
- You saw it on my recent blog for the Chinese Broccoli I just bought that Chili pepper in soybean oil. That will be my std in stir frys from now on. (If you want it and can't find it let me know I'll send you a bottle ). Otherwise I use Sriracha Hot sauce as well. Both of these came from the Asian store but I've seen Sriracha in regular stores as well.
It takes whatever you enter, transfers it to the ad and says, "why eat 83 calories, when you could have..." and the the ad morphs to a sugar free jell-o product. "Because every diet needs a little wiggle room"
THAT is annoying!
Tess - major suckness! I can't believe you got it too, do you think they got it on school in Tuesday.
Jo - yeah who the **** can eat just one (and a half)?
Chell - glad you got in your 30 minutes, you go girl
Anna - your son is a cutie pie!
Me - I stayed waaay under my calories today, is there such thing as an entitlement mocha? ...hmmm Also, I worked out with a 30 minute step video and 5 min stretch. Go me. Nasty co - workers and their food, I eventually broke down and had the smallest piece of cake in my life, =( -- hence the workout I had. Better luck to me tomorrow, and all of you.
Ohh thanks Anjuili!! I like a nice mix of flavor + heat. I've accidently overheated stuff before with peppers or chili flakes and it just wasn't to my liking if it's so hot I can't taste the food. I have tried Cholulu before in restaurants and liked it but it was similar to Pete in that it wasn't really hot enough.
Thanks for the reminder on the soybean oil stuff - I noticed a Chinese market the other day driving around, now I just have to remember where I was!!! I'm going to jot down your recommendations and see what I can find this weekend grocery shopping. (I LOVE hot sauce on pizza!)
You are the advice queen today
