Well...I LOVE my car!! Today I picked up a mom from preschool and her two kids (one from Kyle's preschool...she's in one of the pictures...the girl at the end with the dark hair) and we went to Old McDonald's Farm about 20 mins away. Cute little kids farm with goats galore and bunnies and chickens with chicks following them around and a hay ride and a dairy barn tour (stinky, but informative). What a ton of fun. I go there about once or twice a year.

Tomorrow I have my interview at Penney's and I have to cut my mom's hair and pretend to foil highlight it and put in some perm rods. Should be fun. I have to wear my only dress that fits me and (gasp!) HIGH HEELS!! I fully intend to buy some decent slacks adn some nurses shoes to work in...I know they're ugly, but since I've aged from 20 to 40, my feet and calves are the only part of my body that hasn't aged or has at least stayed the same size, and I don't want to ruin it with uncomfortable shoes and bring on vericose veins and bunnions. Besides, I'll be able to cut hair better if I'm comfortable.

Thin: So glad Sean is on the mend. My kids (all three of them...shelley, kyle and derek, my husband ) have been playing Kingdom Hearts 2 on the PS2 for about a month. They just finished it and now Derek's coming home with Final Fantasy 10 for them to get into. At least I'll have time to read a book on the porch while they play it. I'm not the least bit interested in the game systems.

Talitha: Glad you got some alone time with Travis. How nice to walk down memory lane with him...if only you could have see 13 years into the future 13 years ago to see yourselves walking along with you up to your gills with a baby!! BY the way..how did the meeting go? I'm thinking about ya!!

SEF: You sounded sad in your last post...How are you doing today? Have you been able to avoid the rice? I'm glad you figured out the color thingy.

I'm home and I can hardly move. The baby has dropped and it is wreaking havoc on my back. I haven't been in this much pain since soon after the accident. It's shooting pain all the way down to my toes, which are numb now. NOT cool. I finally took a Darvocet, but last time it didn't help as much as I had hoped.

The meeting tonight was great. The conference room was PACKED!! About 100 consultants and I was great. I was only speaking for abour 10 minutes. Now that I am an Area Manager, I am supposed to contribute every month. But I don't intend to be there next month. Be busy with my new baby! Or with trying to get him out.... we'll see....

At the meeting I had several people come up and tell me how cute I was, the most beautiful pregnant woman... It was nice. I did dress really cute in a brown peasant skirt and a cute cream and gold flowey top. It was nice.


No replies tonight. I need to go lay on my side with a bag of ice and see if I can get my back feeling better. Don'tknow if I'll be up to water aerobivs tomorrow, but I have an appointment with my midwife.

Hey, guys. Yes, BOB, I did read about your DOC report. That's awesome news Well, I'm just a little bummed about the scale not going down this week, I know it's only been two days but I'm not patient,lol. I got a good workout in this morning although I'm still sore from the other day. Oh yea, Boogie is doing good. Just being a typical little boy. Ashley is growing by leaps and bounds. Well, I don't have alot to say. Here's my menu for the day:

BF- was 3 eggs and tomato slices
Snack- sf yogurt
Lunch- big salad made with tuna, veggies, some cheese, and lite LC italian dressing
Supper- making chicken burritos with LC wraps. I'll have one fully loaded(shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, salsa, lite sour cream, cheese, and salsa on a whole wheat LC wrap) and then I'll eat all the goodies in salad form without another wrap.

Hello Girls......

My hectic time is over, and it is time to get my behind back here where it belongs. Vicky surprising her dad was a total surprise......it was a wonderful time, and a very special birthday for him! I also got a surprise as Bill flew in on the same day. So we had two out of three kids here for part of the week. Brant was on call Memorial Day week-end and has to say within 1/2 hour of Colfax where he works. So that was the only down part of a great week. We had a great time and was wonderful to have kids in the house again. Bill and Vicky had met the first time that we met her, she still hasn't met Brant, but we will change that when they come back in July. Vicky had to fly home on Wednesday and Bill had to fly back to Alaska on Thursday. So the house is quiet again, and it is just Ted and I with our little Buddy.

I have been doing very well on my eating and exercise. I had my 3rd weigh and measure this morning at Curves.........down 9 pounds this month, and lost another 2.5 inches. I did a fun run on Saturday, (well acually it is a walk) that was 5 miles around Loon Lake. What a beautiful walk. I am gearing up now for the "Cherry Picker's Trot" which is another fun run up at Greenbluff where I pick fruit each year. This one is in July and I believe it is 7 miles and will be done in the evening.....hope that I will have enough energy. I usually exercise first thing in the mornings so this will be really different.

I haven't had time to read this weeks posts, but I am making it a priority. I will get them read, and will be back with some replies. See you all soon!!

Monet-- I am sorry that your medications are giving you such grief. Is it just a water gain with the meds?? I am not sure how they work on weight gain......is it something that will always be, or just during the first few months?? I am sorry that you have to go through all of this.

Talitha-- I want to see pictures.....I can't believe that you are so close to delivery. (See what happens when you are MIA!!) I know that this is the really hard and trying part. You are miserable, uncomfortable, and just plain wishing it was all over......

Sef-- Wow, it was great to see your name on a post......welcome back!!

Tech-- My Mom has the little Chevy Blazer......she loves it. She went from a big luxury car.....Crown Victoria. The Blazer doesn't have the comfort.....but it has the 4X4 which she wanted for winter, and a lot of other new fangled things. I hope that you will enjoy yours as much as she does hers.The pictures are great......sweet little graduate!!

Solly-- Don't get too darn busy........take a breather!! I am looking for an apple cider vinegar powder. Vicky says it is in one of her suppliments that she takes. She does a Metabolical something or another diet. She eats pretty much like SB but takes all these suppliments too. I will let you know if I find some.

Thin-- I must have missed what was going on, but it sounds like it all went well.

BOB-- Congrats on the new job.......tell me about it.

Heart-- Was glad to see that you are back also. Where did you find the apple cider vinegar pills?? I am anxious to try them.

MOnet, it's not the bottom of my feet, it's my back of the heel. I have been wearing the same tennis shoes for a year now, don't know why it popped up, but it won't heal and it hurts.

Teensy- you can find them at Walmart, pretty cheap..but they didn't work for me. Congrats on the 9#'s. I also do my workouts in the morning because of my schedule. But when I stayed at home I found that I had more energy/endurance in the evening than 1st thing in the morning. But now I don't get home to 7 p.m. or later, so scratch that.

Hey all! I'm feeling really cruddy today. I woke up with a sore throat and my right ear was hurting. I think it is just allergies and also we have had some cool mornings in the 50's, but then it gets into the 80's during the day. Anyway, I feel much better now, hope it stays that way!

Sean has done so well after surgery. He ran a fever again yesterday, but not today. I guess that is from them stirring things up in there. The doctor did say that he has a lot of irritation and infected tissue he removed. He took a short "rinse-off" shower last night and also spent about 3 hrs in the recliner this morning instead of on the couch. He waited 5.5 hrs to take pain med this morning when he can take it every 4, so I hope we are on our way.

So, Jacob has Whooping Cough and we are now going on day 3 or seclusion. We've been locked in since monday night since it is so contagious. He sounds like he is going to die when he coughs I thought it was croup, which would have been easier. I finally took him to the Dr today and it's not.

The poor guy is on 5 perscriptions, including breathing treatments every 4 hours. He should be non-contagious by friday night, but the cough and other symptoms could hang on for 3 weeks to 3 months. Perfect timing, since I'm due in 4 1/2 weeks.

Tomorrow morning we have to go get bloodwork done as well. They are testing him for Lukemia, Celiac Diseas and a bunch of other stuff that I don't want to think about. I don't think he has any of it, but he's just been sick his whole 1 1/2 years of life. I'm just so tired of seeing him miserable.

I'm just hoping that something gets sorted out before this baby comes to make his big brother better.

BTW- I'm sorry for no replies. I'm jsut exhausted, overwhelmed, and sick to my stomack over the testing tomorrow.

Hello everyone. I just got back from SC. this afternoon. It was an 8 hr. and 20 minute drive--actually I flew. Set the cruise control on 78 and just drove! It was a fairly trying week. My BIL is doing lots better. My DS actually thought he was not going to make it one night, but the meds finally kicked in, and he was fairly lucid by today. He checked back into the hospital today for another round of chemo, and will be doing lots of stuff in preparation for an auto-stem cell transplant. That's where they give you some special med. to make your body produce stem cells, and then they draw blood and run it through a machine to extract those cells. They then freeze the cells and after a "super chemo" that kills all your bone marrow, they then inject the stem cells back into you and your bone marrow then is replenished. Something like that. It is a long process and they will be finished by the end of the summer, we hope.

I learned a lot about eating during the week I was up there. I stayed with my DS. She is TINY!!! About 110 pounds and has always been thin. She is the same height as me. When she ate she normally left something on her plate. She didn't clean her plate, and it didn't bother her at all!! She ate very slowly. I really tried hard to eat as slowly as I could. I put down my fork, I talked, etc. etc. but I still finished before she did. And she didn't seem to be dawdling or to be extraordinarily slow. I guess she gave her body much more time to recognize that it was full than I was giving mine. She ate 3 meals a day plus one snack. And the snack was small--half a fruit or some grapes or maybe 6 or seven goldfish crackers. Or a couple bagel chips with hummus. With a small bowl of cereal with fruit for breakfast, she would leave a bite or two in her bowl. She would eat desserts but never would have seconds, and often didn't finish it all. She would have a small bowl of soup and 1/2 sandwich for lunch and would leave part of the sandwich. Dinners were meat, veggies and also rice (white) or potatoes. She just didn't eat as much as I did, for sure. There must be something to this. Eating anything and everything, but just not much of it. She definitely doesn't count calories or weigh and measure.

You can guess that I did not eat SB during the week I was gone. I ate what they ate, and just didn't worry about it. I tried to eat small like she did, but just never could eat THAT small. We spent a lot of time at the hospital the first 3 days--all day and half the night, in fact. The rest of the time we were at home as my BIL was discharged, finally. I spent two afternoons at my DM's house, trying to explain to her why the relationship between her and my DS is so strained. She just could not understand why my DS seems so "distant" and I had the "pleasant" job of explaining to her that she has messed up. We had a very good conversation, but I don't know if it will have any effect or not.

I have no idea if I gained or lost. My scale is in my closet, and right now my whole house is a big mess!!! While I was gone the workers started putting lights in the ceilings in our two studies and in the hall. I had to clear a way to my computer. The only place where there is not a foot of dust is the kitchen and the LR. Even our bedroom is torn up. It is hard to get to the bed because all the furniture has been moved up against it. And the room has just been painted so the fumes are heavy in there. My DH is going to chicago next week and is not minding leaving at all because of the mess here. The shower is all tiled and they just have to put in the grout and install the new sinks and fixtures.

Well, I read all the posts, but am too tired to do any replies. So I will bid all of you good night.
