Hello Christina, just missed you. I cleaned the freezer and deep freeze right before my surgery. I need to go throu all the closets for old blankets and towels. Want to try and get rid of alot of stuff that isn't needed. Trying to work in other parts of the house (spring cleaning)
anyways going to get rid of the movie before we get a late charge.

I never did make it to Wally World for groceries before I left for Evansville, so I went today. Big mistake. The weather people are predicting a blizzard for our area tonight/tomorrow, and everyone was at Walmart stocking up on milk and bread in case we get snowed in.

Hello all and thank you for the congrats on the new hours! I'm very excited about that. I'm not exactly sure when it'll happen, but as long as it does, I'm happy.

Ginny--How cute to have all J's in the family. I have got to get my bike tuned up so I can ride. The weather should start warming up a bit and riding would be great exercise. Today I will be wearing the pedometer again, compare it to Friday and see how far I walk. Then I'll add it to the 5miles I walked Friday.......keep tabs. Maybe I should shoot for a certain amount every month!

Angie--How much longer before you go back to work? If you have spare time, feel free to come to my house and do some of my spring cleaning! This morning I woke up to a very dirty kitchen. James made Prime Rib (ohhh so good) and I was just too lazy to clean up after eating! That is what I have planned to for the afternoon before work.

Jules--A discount to either B & BW or Victor Secrets would be so great!! I love them both. But had no idea they were affiliated w/each other. Can you imagine, smelling and looking good??

Ellen--I can totally relate to being up until the wee hours of the morning and getting nothing accomplished. My weekend are that way sometimes, because I stick w/my work hours and stay up way too long and sleep in until noon!! One reason I'm so looking forward to the hours changing!

Jane--Good for you for staying OP!! I have plans to get more active. James has gotten out his Yoga book and I have my pilates tapes out. Then as I mentioned, I want to bike more. Would like to lose some kind of weight before my vacation! You'll do great. You've done it before and you'll do it again!!

Cristina--James & I were looking at homes in the Home Seekers guide. Noticed a lot of houses are selling for cheaper than they have been. We're still not sure when we'll ever buy a house, but it's sure fun looking!

Angie, I too used to get migraines before my tom.. but since you too had a hysterectomy you no longer have tom's....so that can't be the reason for your migraine? Did you have a total or do you still have your ovaries in. If you do, then hormones could be the reason...don't know about that cause I had a total.

Jane, a blizzard? bite your tongue. Our forcast for the whole week is sunshine and getting up into the 40's, I live in lower Michigan, can our weather be that much different?

Christina, I hope you get an offer soon so you don't lose out on your new house.

We planted impatiens and fibrous begonias today. Impatiens are usually the easiet to plant but the begonias are everyone's worse enemies. They are a big pain....We have cut back on the number of flats we usually plant, going more into container gardens this year. They are getting to be big sellers, especially around here. So much easier, and fun to plant.

Marti, 2 more weeks and I have to go back! WAAAAAAA I am seriously loving being at home now that I am more mobile.
Ginny, I only had a partial, my ovaries are intaked, but Ive been told that even thou I won't get TOM I may still get the migrains *when* I normally would of been getting TOM. Im worried cause one of the things I hated about TOM was that. Hard to function with a migrain 3 days out of the month.
I went to Walmart, bought some fabric pieces, one great thing about small kids, they don't need as much fabric for costumes. I have to make Tanner 3 turbins, 2 the same, one just SUPER big. And a wedding turbin,,,ahhh
My friend Laura who is doing the Eddie commericals called, we brain stormed for an hour,,,laughing over the things we have come up with. I get so excited over stuff like that. Shes a props person too so we understand each other quite well.

well going to go and watch that movie,,,,still haven't broughten it back,,,gonna have late fees I guess..lol

There was this one family that I knew with all J's ....Jim, JoHannah(mom & dad),Jeremy,Jenny,Jordan,Jonathon,Janetta,.....som e boy, forget his name....I think it starts with a J - haha.... and Julie was the baby. Dang,hate when I forget.

Thanks for the interest in Rachel. She is fine. I brought her home Saturday. We wrote a contract and she signed it. I really just wanted her home in her own bed and I think she will be fine. She is in counseling and group counseling will start Thursday and at my wits end trying to keep her on track but she has to try too. It is up to her.

Hello gals!

Popping after work to see how everyone is doing.

I clocked in another 4.25miles at work. I do believe that I like having that pedometer on while at work. I got a few girls to buy one (I didn't tell them to, they just wanted to see how much walking they did too) and it's pretty cool to see just how much walking we do at work.

I want to see how much walking I get in at work each month.

So far I've walked: 9.25 miles this month. Of coarse, it's already towards the end of the month but hey...gotta start somewhere right? And once the weather starts getting warmer, I think I'll start walking around the building during my breaks.

Ginny--My DH & I are going to San Francisco in July. We are so looking forward to it. We'll leave the night of the 3rd and arrive on the 4th. Get to see the fireworks.....that'll be a new and fun experience! We do so much walking while there, that I want to get into shape before we go so I don't feel like my lungs are going to explode. Thus....must quit smoking.

Angie--Aww, I'm sorry you have to go back to work. Wouldn't it just be wonderful if we could all afford to not work?? I say that I would love to stay home, but then...what would I do? So what movie did you watch??

Susan--You're such a loving mother, never giving up on your girl. I'm glad she's home and that she agreed to the counseling. As she gets older, she'll thank you for it. I look back now on things my parents said and boy, hate to admit it but they were right and I was wrong! I eventually said that to my dad too. He just smiled.

Ellen--Always LOVE your post! Always spicing it up in here!! You know, everyone has something going on in their life, and no matter what it is, we're here for them whether it's good or bad. And I love to hear about your paint colors! So don't ever feel like you're being incensitive. When I have an awful day....it's always so good to come here and read about someones good day. It really helps!

Let me see, Ellen, are you the one who did the house in sage? I love that color. I did my bathroom in lavendar and sage. It turned out spectatular. There is so much out there in sage these days, it's a very popular color and it goes well with lots of other colors too. My hats off to you lady for painting your whole house yourself. That is a hard task for anyone. MY oldest son was a professional painter for a spell, so anytime I want anything painted around here, I just hire him.

Susan, you sure are going through an ordeal with your daughter. I am glad to hear she is home and safe again. My prayers are with you that she will stick to her contract and settle down. Glad she is in counceling.

Angie, what a bummer that you still get the migraines. I had my ovaries removed also, no choice. Then I was on hrt for 2 yrs. then took myself off that. So still battling the hot flashes etc. so if you want to discuss any of that I'm your gal. I also have to take Actonel now as I am on the borderline for osteoporsis. Isn't life grand? Get rid of one problem and get two more. Oh well, that's life.

Marti, San Francisco is a real cool place. I haven't been there in years but I'm sure it's even more fun now.

I can't remember who has the son Josh who is in the army, going to Iraq. But my prayers are with you and him too. One of the ladies who works for us has a daughter in the army. She has been to Iraq once for a year and is going back again in July. My nieces husband just got back from there. We'll keep good thoughts for him while he is away.

My son Josh who hurt his back made it through the day yesterday. He is improving but it takes time. The other J's in my family are (dh) Joe, sons Joe, Jeff, Jeremy, Justin and Josh. Grandbabies are Jacob, Jade, James, Jasmine, Jaxon, and soon to be born Joseph. I am the odd man out, I tried to spell my name Jini for a while, but it just wasn't me. I have to be Ginny.

Well, ladies I am heading out to work now. The lovely begonias await me. Once they are done, the rest are a breeze.. also have to go babysit tonight for a spell. DGD first teacher's conference is tonight and both mommy and daddy want to go, as they should. So I get to play with my grandbabies for a short spell. Hope I can fit a bike ride in tonight. Need to rack up some more miles. It seems to be working, I am down 8 pounds. Still more needed to go.

One more thing. My poor old pooch is getting worse. I told you he has dementia, I am not kidding. He forgets things quickly. He also, has liver problems and can't seem to eat anything that doesn't come back up on him. I have tried soft canned food and now even that is not staying down. He is always hungry yet just won't eat hardly anything. We have to make some decisions about him and I hate to have to do that. We just lose our other dog a yr and a half ago. She got real sick and I hated to see her suffer. So Jules any kitty you can help, go for it girl... and more power to you.. seeing animals suffer is worse than people, cause they cant' tell you what is wrong.

Ok. I'm done for now. Off to work. I'll check back in when I get home later.

Ginny - We have a friend whose family all have J names...DH can relate as his family is all D names. We did not pass that on to the kids, however, so I'm afraid the D name trend stopped with us. The J family have a GS who is named J. Aaron. The J doesn't stand for anything - they just wanted to have a J and it sounded good, I guess.


Marti - That's alot of walking! You should be in shape for SFCA with no problem. Great news on the job as well, much friendlier hours, huh


Ellen - I like your posts on paintng and decorating - just keep them coming!


Susan - Glad Rachel is back...hope she can settle in and feel better . You are handling everything so well. Hey - did you ever check out Dove preschool? I was just chatting with a friend the other day and she mentioned it - had a good experience there.

Angie - I love being at home, too! It's work to stay on the budget, but so worth it. I remember when I first became a SAHM, I did alot of redecorating around our little duplex. It was amazing how things looked to me when I had to stare at them all day every day.

Jane - I haven't been following, but Ginny mentioned a blizzard? Yikes! What a way to start Spring. Hope you are snuggled in all nice and warm. Good job on the OP

I've been working out everyday because I know I'll be out of town for a bit for Spring Break. I'm taking the kids to visit my mom. She's a very healthy eater so I know I can manage my food fine while I'm there, but there aren't many exercise opportunities as DH is staying home to work.

We found a fun little preschool that could work very nicely for our DD. It was hard, but we decided that if they have an opening for us at some point we'll take it. So, we'll wait that one out and see what happens. If they don't open up, she's already enrolled at her current school so she'll stay there and we'll just bite our tongues and make it work for one more year. Things are a little easier now that the parenting conference ( one of my jobs) and the fundraising auction are done for the year.


...and I'm off to the gym to sweat another day...have a good one gals

I went and did some shopping at Wlmart yesterday and have so far made the HUGE turbin for Tan, need to make a smaller one just like it. Its been awhile since Ive sewn so Im feeling some pressure here.

Marti - do you like doing the Pilates tape better than the gazelle? Just curious. I don't really like anything other than the treadmill.

Ginny - why are begonias so hard to do? They aren't my favorite, but I'm curious. I do love impatiens, though, and buy them for my shady spots every year. I have to admit to spurging on the container baskets in the past couple of years, for around one of my birdbaths. Yep, we got sleet about 4 AM - sounded like rocks at the bedroom window. And just about 1" of snow was all. Since the wind was whipping so fast, I guess that's what makes it blizzard-like. I think we're done with the snow, but central Indiana is getting more. Don't worry, I won't send it to you.

Angie - aww, I wish you could stay home, too. As crafty as you are, unless you need your job for insurance, you could probably rent a table at a craft shop and earn money that way. Are the turbins for a play, or is it a new fad the teens are wearing in Canada, lol?

Susan - glad Rachel is settled back in with you. Maybe she will calm down and be less stressed now. Keep your chin up, Susie Q.

Ellen - I like your cheerfulness, too. But we're here when things are rocky, too, ok? How was lunch with the kids yesterday?

Katy - well, hopefully you'll get called from the other school. If not, as you said, it's only one more year. Glad your busy time there is over.

I'm still OP and feeling good about that. Just doing laundry today and catching up with phone calls. Need to go clean the bathroom and sweep the kitchen floor. The dogs are tracking in from the snow we had, and it's impossible to keep the floor clean.

Katie's best friend is visiting her in Florida during spring break. They are having so much fun, and her words spill over themselves when she talks to me on the phone, lol. Only 50 more day until we see her to bring her home.

Ginny--I'm really looking forward to the trip. We went last year, this year we are pretty much checking out the places we didn't go to before. Can you believe we didn't even get a chance to go to the Golden Gate Park?? The one place I really wanted to go too. This year though.

Katy--Hope you have a fun time at your mothers this Spring Break. I goofed w/my schedule. For some reason I thought Jhanai told me that Spring Break was this week.....so I had reserved this Thursday off early, w/Friday off.........she has school! I need to do a better job at keeping track. So instead, I will be picking her up right after school. Still nice, and I'll be able to take her home on my way to work Monday.

(I REALLY need to change my hours so I can keep up w/everything!)

Angie--Yep, same amount of walking. The real reason I do so much walking is that I go out front to smoke a cigarette on my breaks, and if I don't smoke, I'm out there chatting w/friends who are. There is such a distance from where I'm working to the front of the building, I should measure how many steps there are.

Jane--I don't think I prefer one over the other when it comes to pilates and the gazelle. I get a different sense of satisfaction with both. With the gazelle, I feel energized and ready to walk where ever my legs will take me. When doing pilates, I feel tall and relaxed, yet energized. I definately get more out of pilates though. Only because I'm working the whole body and not just my legs.

HI LADIES
Well I just lost my whole post , My kitty Baggins decided to step on the keyboard and it was gone , I tried to undo but it was long gone. good thing he's cute.Its another sunny day but still cold ,the sun is nice though for a change.I can hardly wait for it to warm up though. I had lunch with my daughter again today, its nice when she comes and we can chat, she can't stay long when she comes because it takes her about half her lunch driving here and back .

HI ANGIE......Aside from the surgery I hope you are enjoying your time off, although it doesn't sound like it slowed you down to much , you have to take it easy, did you do the painting or did hubby or a painter come in.I love sage green , my bedroom in my other house was sage green and I loved the colour so relaxing. I didn't paint the same colour only because I wanted a change after 15 years. I like the combination to of the lavender and sage it makes me think of the garden.I think its true when you have no choice but to sit and look at the four walls it inspires you to make changes , when I am finished I am going to sit outdoors, I don't need anymore of that kind of inspiration here I hope your having a great day.

HI KATY....Good for you working out it makes you feel so good when you do, don't you think. I can hardly wait to get back to my work out equipment which is currantly behind all the stuff I moved into the room so I could paint. It will be nice to be able to use it again , its not doing me much good if I don't and I 'm not getting any slimmer Hopefully I will be finished in a couple of weeks and I can settled into a routine once more. I feel so unorganized while all this is going on and I don't like the feeling. I like organization clean and calm and I am a happy camper. I think it will be nice to spend some time with your mom , does she live far from you ? I wish I could spend time with mine , she never had much use for me ,she never wanted a daughter, so I don't have a relationship with her.I can't understand a mother feeling that way, I certainly don't, my daughter is a blessing and a joy to me as is my son , she is missing out on so much , to bad she doesn't think so. You are lucky to have your mom. I can't believe Leigh is off to preschool , they grow to fast, I hope she gets into the one you are hoping for. well Katy have a great day .

HI JANE..... I always feel bad to talk about my problems, because life here isn't always sunshine and roses thats for sure. I stuff all my problems down so I don't have to think about them, and now I have 35 lbs of them to lose. normally I would have had this amount of painting done in a month but this has carried on now for many, just can't seem to keep moving forward , I have to keep pushing myself. I have much to do this year with my daughters wedding, I have no time for this .You didn't tell me if you bought a new house or if you and your son exchanged houses. All I know is your packing to go somewhere Glad your back on program, its hard when you go off isn't it. SNOW did you say that, haven't seen any of that lately maybe the occasional flurry but thats it. I missed the whole Christmas season this year, didn't decorate, I let my daughter use my decorations this year, and I help her decorate her house. I wasn't into the spirit at all this year ,it was hard.but its a new year hopefully a better year.I hope your having a great day.

HI GINNY... I am the one who painted most everything in yellow . My living entrance and upper hallways are a soft buttercup yellow with warm white on the trims and walls below the wainscotting , the kitchen is yellow striped wallpaper,with warm white beadboard below the wainscotting as well. the accent colours in these rooms will be the colours in the sofa's which are pinks and reds, yellow,green and a touch of blue. I painted my sm powder room in a pretty green/blue called paladian blue on top and below the chairrail its of course warm white. My main bathroom since its a girl only house is painted a colour called apple blossom pink, and the bath tub curtain matches my bedroom curtains,now my bedroom is painted in a pretty shade of vanilla and the accents will match the pretty shade of pink in my bathroom . The spare bedroom is also vanilla , thats where my computer is and where a bed for the cats will be , so hopefully I will have more room in mine now the last room is my workout room a small room and the colour is undecided I need a motivating colour , because getting motivated is hard so I expect a lot from this colour Now you have everything you didn't want to know about my house I am sorry your pooch is failing there is nothing harder than making the decision we all dread as pet lovers. I have had to make that decision to many times, its heartbreaking I know [/COLOR]

I am so glad I didn't offend you, sometimes I just lose sight of things , and when I go back and read what I said, it seems so trivial , know what I mean.I can't imagine what your going through, I don't know how I would deal with that situation, I feel so badly for the young men and women over there,and their families .I just want them to all come home and it all be done with. I don't want to make you to feel bad , but I just wanted to tell you that my heart goes out to you and your family and I pray for the day Josh is home for good. Now on a happier note where are you moving , what house did you buy, do tell me all the details two storey or bungalow, how big , how small, how many rooms ,what kinds of rooms are there, lots of windows I hope, fireplaces how many, big yard or small , country or city , close to where you live now or not, so much to tell, Just think of the decorating ideas you will have to share , I am so excited are you. Get that house sold so we can get to it, woops I am getting ahead of myself , this is your house isn't it. Oh well back to painting for me. hope your having a great day

HI MARTI..... I bet you will be glad when the hours change it will make a huge difference in your life for sure. I worked the midnight shift, and I always felt so sick, I didn't like it at all. The funny thing is I took that shift on purpose because It was during a rough time in my life and I never could sleep at night anyways so I thought it would help me to be busy during those hours and I would kill two birds with one stone , thing is it didn't work out that way. I am so happy that you got this change that you so wanted and needed. SanFrancisco again ,lucky you, I know you will have a great time. I have a gazelle and a pilates machine to I like both to for different reasons , although neither is getting much use right now.I need to change that real soon I hope your having a great day Marti

HI SUSAN.....So happy to talk to you again, I am so sorry your life fell apart, I am happy to hear that Rachel is in counselling and back home where she belongs.So many things with kids we can't possibly predict,all we can do is be there, and kick their butts when needed not to make light of her feelings I'm sure to her its the end of the world , but she will come to realize how much you love her and want whats best for her .Unfortunatly so many kids go throught the same things ,and have no one to help them or love them enough to help them. I really hope and pray that with enough counselling love and guidence she will come through this.Hold on Susie...... teenagers are a breed of their own I think you need a break, so many problems for one person, Your a good person and a wonderful Mom , this to shall pass. so you finally got a fur baby huh , good for you , they are great company are they not, they just love you unconditionally that is as long as you feed them and clean the litter box what does Gaby think of Jack I bet she just loves him. You know I have been doing this post it seems forever , the first one Baggins erased on me ,( my fur baby) and I had to start from scratch.
