Tashabella: The procedure I mentioned is called an endometrial ablation. Basically, they remove the endometrium, thereby ending periods. There is also a type of IUD called Merina (I think that's how it's spelled.) that reduces bleeding quite a bit. That was my original choice...because you still need birth control after the ablation, but I can't have the IUD due to a heart murmer. Anyway, thought I'd pass on what my Gyn. told me FWIW.
