) My blood sugar was only 135 this morning -- it's usually been 170-180, so I must be doing something right.Have a nice evening.
I'm so glad you have pulled yourself up by the bootstraps. If you can see a marked difference in your readings your doing it right. And feeling better is just an added bonus.
In the meantime I hope you get some rest.

I am ready to get back to the world. And DH even misses me a bit. He cooked today, and even cleaned up afterward. I was amazed.
Also, I can't get to sleep if I'm hungry. It's probably not a good idea to eat a whole bunch of carbs before you go to bed. If you cook, load up on low-GI vegs and minimize the potatoes, etc. I would suggest adding a planned snack later that will satisfy you. Keep posting and let us know how you're doing.
I'm sure you've lost a good bit of weight, but if you feel better not looking at the scale, there's no reason to. Co-Enzyme Q-10 is a powerful antioxidant, which means it counteracts free radicals (the stuff that causes disease). Most doctors won't mention it because it's a supplement and considered alternative therapy, but I've heard enough good things about it to consider it. I just don't want to start taking it then stop. I really recommend Dr.Weil.com. I suscribe to his newsletter. This month is National Diabetes Awareness month so he's highlighting that. Thanks for the food tips. I should do more cooking, and if I can figure out how to do it once a week, I will. I'm thinking of making a chopped salad to bring to work for the week. For dinner, I've been relying on Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice. It's easy for me, especially since I have real problems with portion control. I budget in a small glass of red wine to wash it down with so it's not too unpleasant. They now have a line of low carb meals too. That's great that you see the end of the nightshift. Give DH a great big kiss to reinforce his helpful behavior.
My Wednesday post didn't appear on the update. Wonder why? Anyway, I'm still OP, getting used to being a little hungry all the time. Very busy at work today so can't linger. Happy weekend.
Just keep hanging in there. After a couple of weeks you won't even feel hungry anymore. Your body is going through an adjustment right now. Just watch out for all the sodium in the pre-packaged dinners. But if they help you stay OP. Just compensate by cutting the salt elsewhere. Boy wouldn't it be a drag to get your blood suger down, just to see your BP go up. Some days you just can't win.

But keep plugging away. We all have to. My morning readings are still high and my carbs are very low but exercise has been non existant because I haven't been feeling well. Got to get the butt in gear.
