Good morning to you all. I have to take the SUV to the Geico place at 10 AM and pick up the rental car. They do everything right in one place so it is very easy. I just have to remember to get things out of it we will need like our sunglasses, my handicap tag, garage door opener, etc. I am going to just take a grocery bag and drop everything into it and then put them in the rental car. We can pick any kind of car we want as we have up to $1500 that we can use. Hopefully it won't take more than a couple weeks to fix so I am getting a premium car so we can have a bit more room. I checked out pricing at Enterprise and we would be well under our top amount. We will have to go back over there after work and give them Jack's driver's license info so he can drive it back and forth to work. I couldn't keep his license this morning because he has to have it to drive the city vehicles.
I got the downstairs all cleaned except dusting, which I will do tomorrow then I have the dr appointment on Thursday so will do the upstairs again on Friday.
Good news for my girlfriend. They met with the social worker yesterday and picked out some rehab choices so he is definitely going as soon as they can find a bed for him. I think she is very relieved for several reasons. I know she wants to be able to get back to work so their finances improve.
Jean: Sounds like you once again have a busy week. Glad you were able to get the tickets. Can you fly Southwest or do you have to fly the more expensive airlines? I have a couple recipes written in my mother's handwriting and one written on a letter to me in my grandmother's handwriting. It was sent to me way back when Jack was in the Navy and we lived in California I think. She had this little 3 ring notebook she kept recipes in and I don't know what happened to it when she died. I thought my younger sister got it, but she says she doesn't have it. I was furious when my grandpa died as they auctioned off everything including personal photos of family that should have gone to all of us. I could care less about the money, but there were photos of me when I was a new born with my parents and grandparents and sister and lots of other mementos we would have liked to have had.
Maggie: Good luck in TX.
Everyone have a great day.

Ian has a football game this afternoon, and I'm kind of hoping the wind will blow up a rain out. No rain in the forecast though.
Well he did provide what I asked, this huge Suburban, but I couldn't get into the darn thing. I had to step up on the running board and then I couldn't bend my bad knee back far enough to get into the seat. I tried a good 5 minutes and finally gave up and told him he would have to get me something else. He brought me a mini van, which was fine. Our car is supposed to be ready tomorrow.
