This sounds nice, too! (I'm not opposed to the other ideas, either, but I'm on a budget and have foot arthritis that makes me not much for dance. Also, I like being outside.
)
I live 2-2.5 hours south of DC, depending how I approach it. So an early afternoon hike would be preferable to a morning or evening hike, for me. Then again, if I can't make it this time, there's nothing to prevent it from happening again, anyway.
Some of us are in Maryland, and some in Virginia, so I am trying to pick a place that might be close to the middle ground...
Thanks for the reply! So sorry about the foot arthritis - that has to be painful! But is sounds like walking is ok for you?Originally Posted by the_magpie

Maybe an outing to Fredricksburg to meet up with you would be fun for some of us - there is an interesting historic area as I recall, that might be a good place to walk... I'd have to do a bit of research cause I have not been to Fredricksburg for many years. But it would kinda halfway between DC and Richmond.... I am guessing you are somewhere in that vicinity? or is there another halfway point that would be good for you? Lemme know - putting in 5 hrs of driving, round trip, is a pretty much for a day trip!
