Hi guys! Exercise fell off track for me due to being sick.

DH and I had signed up for a 20-mile non-competitive bike ride which was yesterday and I dragged myself out of bed to do it, since I was feeling a bit better, but then felt so wiped out afterwards I slept all afternoon. Mostly better today, just a lingering cough and some sniffles, so hopefully I'll be back on track this coming week.
Food has been pretty good. One night I had to tell DH that he needed to stop snacking because he was making me want to eat even though I wasn't hungry. I guess he hadn't had enough to eat for lunch so was extra hungry, but I swear he was getting up every five minutes for the entire evening to get something else to eat.
I had a couple food accomplishments this week. First, after we got back from being out of town late Monday night, we had house guests Tuesday. I cooked a healthy dinner rather than taking them out. Then I worked from home Friday when we have a lunch meeting at work. Then yesterday I was really hungry while we were out doing some shopping and thought about stopping for a snack at a fast food place, but DH luckily talked me out of it and I ate a healthy snack when I got home (this was before I passed out for the rest of the afternoon). Then I thought about making a healthy dessert for us last night, but wasn't hungry and ended up not making dessert at all (no dessert is still less calories than healthy dessert!). Okay last one -- we went to Baskin Robbins yesterday to buy me a birthday cake, and I was about to buy one that serves 6-8 people even though it was just the two of us when I noticed they had some smaller cakes. I ended up buying one that serves 4 instead so we will have less left over, even though it wasn't as pretty.

We'll probably eat the whole thing tonight, but cake has zero calories on your birthday, right? Oh yeah, and when DH asked me what we should do for my birthday, instead of going out I told him that I wanted him to cook me dinner instead -- the same dinner we eat all the time, baked salmon, steamed broccoli, and rice. Plus a bonus glass of wine and some candles. Still need to go out today to buy the salmon, hopefully I can find some fresh salmon somewhere.
