Frame size and bitter reality

  • I'm only 5'5" and still won't ever be able to shove my hips into anything smaller than a 29 (size 8) in designer jeans. In most designer jeans right now I'm a 30/31 (10 or 12). If it's 10lbs to a size and let's average and say I'm a 30, I'd have to have a borderline underweight bmi just to get into 28s (size 6). And I work out and have a decent amount of muscle mass, so just toning up ain't gonna do the trick. Curves and bigger models will be back in style again soon...till then, I'm trying out self-acceptance
  • I am also a bigger framed person. At my skinniest I was a size 10/12. I felt comfortable in my own skin at that size. Most people were shocked when I told them what size I wore or how much I weighed. I looked fit. I working on getting into a size 10/12 again. I am currently at a size 16. I wish you all the best of luck..
  • I have my fair share of those days too.. I try to remember that I'm working to get not only skinny (whatever that is) but also to get HEALTHY. so on the hard days I focus more on healthy, haha. It's still hard for sure... but I know that no matter where we end up, the smaller we get the happier we'll be.
  • Very true. I suppose we all have to accept what we have to work with and make the best of it! LOL.

At the end of the day I'd rather be a fit "big boned" girl than an overweight outta shape fat girl!
  • I feel the same way sometimes. I have a "large" body frame. But I'd rather rock a size 6 with sexy curves, then a 2 with nothing at all. (because if I was a 2, I would have nothing--I'm not that curvy as it is!)
