Yeah no.... I generally buy stuff that was originally marked up to nearly $100 but I would never pay that much. I really like the jeans I have and the price I paid for them. Victoria's Secret has some nice jeans as well and they always always have sales/coupons, etc.

Oh and I should add that I am very picky but I never pay full price for anything. I also wouldn't buy clothes at certain places like Walmart. (I like quality clothing but I know others don't mind it. I'm just too harsh on my clothes to buy cheaply made clothes)

I'm buying the cheap stuff because I hope I won't be in them too much longer.

I look for the marked down stuff as well. When I was in Sears the other day, they were having a big Lands End clearance sale. I didn't have time to play in that department. I think I'll sneak over during lunch tomorrow.

Actually mare, I buy inexpensive stuff, just not cheap stuff. I got a lot of nice clothes recently, $2-$5 per piece. Macys stuff. I love Macys. I really consider Walmart overpriced (especially versus quality). I also hope not to be in it long. I can also sell some of the stuff on ebay for more than I bought it for although I'm a bit lazy sometimes.

I should also say though do what works for you. I'm just very picky about my fabrics and clothes and what not

Now that you mention it, I found a lot of cute stuff on clearance at Kohl's. I got a dress for the cruise at Mervyn's. It was marked down to $10. I ended up wearing it 3 times, so I think I got my money out of it. I went to Kohl's and found several capri pants and tops all under $10. Some of them were originally $50!

In fact, I needed a new bra. They were having a bra sale. I went around the corner to the fitting rooms and found racks and racks of discontinued styles. So, instead of spending over $30 for a bra, I got several for around $10 each. They were orig. around $40 each.

I think I'll go back this weekend and look for "seat covers".

If you have a Dillards near you (probably doubtful, I've never seen one in CA), they have the best sales ever. Last time I went to one, they were having a sale, 75% off all their clearance items. Their misses section of clearance items was as about as big as a Lane Bryant, if not bigger. It took me hours of sifting through clothes but I found a lot of stuff heavily marked down. $200 pants down to $10. Whenever I am going to a town that has a Dillards, I bring half empty luggage

Oh and whenever I hit a big sale, I buy smaller sizes too so that I will fit in them eventually and have clothes for when I hit that size.

I carry all my weight in my hips and tummy and legs. I love stretch jeans. I have noticed that you can only wear them for 1 wear unlike reg jeans you can wear a few times before washing. My daughters have no butt so they buy all their jeans at american eagle.
I love shopping for sales. I will wear walmart clothes because Im loosing weight and wont get many wears out of them. I do get awesome sales at Macys and jcpenneys. I am also going to get my sewing machine out and start taking up items I really like.

My favourite jeans are Wranglers! They have stretch and non-stretch, and they're not just for cowboys/cowgirls. Their 20X line is my absolute favourite. They're non-stretch, but like all denim, have a bit of give to them but not enough to make them sloppy (I worked at a store that almost exclusively carried Wrangler jeans). They're the best! Ours were $49.99-$69.99 and in the past I have bought three identical pairs, two even in the same colour, because I wear them nearly every day. I do ride my horse in them too, but I completely maintain they are not just a cowboy jean, though they do have a bit of stigma attached to them, at least where I live. The 20X ones don't have the Wrangler badge on the back pocket, so no one would even know they're Wranglers. I highly recommend them!

They have a BIT of stretch to them (but not much at all) and I looooooooooooooooooooooooooove Gap Essential jeans in the darkest wash. They're great b/c they're a lot roomier in the hips/thighs (I'm a hippy sorta gal..) and the wash is nice and dark, which I'm a stickler for.

The stretch is barely even there. I HATE stretch jeans...the way they feel, the way they look on me, everything, and these are the ONLY jeans I will buy. They're a little pricey on my student budges ($60 for the lighter washes, $70 for the dark one I get), but I just can't get anything else!!

They also come in long length IN THE STORE which was a huge selling point for me as I have ridiculously long legs. It's getting a little out of control how long my inseam is...

I'm with you. I never buy cheap quality clothes but I never pay expensive prices. I hit this sale and got a $95 pair of Calvin Klein jeans for 15 bucks. They had this awesome detail on the back pocket too. That's cheaper than the jeans at walmart or target. Yesterday I got a hot jacket at Macy's that was orignially 64 for 6 bucks.

Our local Lord & Taylor had a sale of 50% off clearance items the other day when I went. They had a large section dedicated to the sale. There were a lot of jeans and other clothes. Unfortunately, my legs are short and they were lacking some petite pants but I did end up picking up a couple items. A few really nice shirts for $10-$15.

Lee Riders come in non stretch. I also have no butt or thighs so unless I get slim fit everything hangs. I tried on some mens which are virtually ALL non stretch but even the butts on those are too big AND I wear a petite so I'd have to shorten them. When I get to my goal I'm buying some pants from LL Bean. They have something new called Adirondack Jeans - they are only $ 19.95 and come in 7 colors including khaki, olive and bleached canvas. They are a smaller fit through the hips and thighs - NON STRETCH - come in petites thru talls and go up to a size 20. They also have Perfect Fit pants that do have lycra but it never stretches out too much. AND - LL Bean stands behind everything so 5 years from now if there is a problem you bring them back and they replace them. i would never spend $ 100 for jeans - don't care how good they look. No - I DO NOT work there - lol - just love their customer service and products.
