Sherry- LOng time no type! ha!Ha!! been very busy, no excuse for not
coming by. I will try to get by at least every other day. My heat when
out in my house, you dont know what you miss, until it is not there.hew!!
hew!! one estimated was 1,700.00 to replace it , said it had a crack and
needed to be replaced. Well i had a guy that does our work at work on airconditioners and furnaces. He fixed it , cost 200.00 , wasnt cracked
the other company was trying to rip me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so now i have heat

Iam starting on detox this am. havent been realy good . So need to get
the sugar out !! I know it works , it is the way to go for me. lol I know
i will have a headach , from the lack of diet drinks. ha!! ha!! Oh! well
iam a winner and we all are here at fs.

I am SOOOO glad to see you here! I have missed your posts. I NEED your motivation. lol. Sorry your heat went out. BUT... so glad you got it fixed. That stinks that the other company tried to "stick it to you!" So cool that you got it fixed so cheap. Ours went out a couple of weeks ago. It was about 2 am and Dh and I woke up FREEZING. WE had to wait until 8 to call our landlord. We turned on the oven and made pallets in the kitchen. lol. It got TOO warm. The lowest setting on the oven is like 200 or somthing. lol. But, we made it through the night. Dh and I didn't sleep much... but Joshua did. That is what we were concerned about. I started detox Sunday. Today is day 4 for me. I haven't had the desire to cheat. Which is strange because the last 2 times I tried detox.. I couldn't get passed the first day without cheating. I guess I am more motivated this time. Good Morning Smashers!!

I hope you are all staying warm. It is actually warmer here this morning. It is already 19 degrees.

I drank over 100 oz of water yesterday! I spent alot of time in the bathroom.. lol.. but I know it is better for me than diet drinks. I had been drinking diet root beer. It is caffeine free.. but still full of artificial sweetener and other junk. I haven't had one in 4 days and I don't miss them. They had started to taste bad to me. Guess my body knows what is best.

I am getting low on fruit and won't be able to get anymore until Friday. I have enough for today.. but Thursday will be a challenge. My snacks during the day are usually a piece of fruit. Time to get creative.

Is everyone ready for a SMASHING day?? I hope you all have a great one!

Good Morning All!! It's not as cold here today, WOOHOO. Kids and I have doc appts as soon as I call and make them. I didn't get any excersize in ysterday, but, I did stick to the diet and well within calorie range, so one day without excersize didn't kill me. My poor fiancee, he thought he could only have 1 cup of brown rice and 1 cup of oatmeal everyday, "I hate being hungry all the time", says he. I told him to read the book, lol, but he didn't. He feels better now that he knows he can actually EAT. Goofball.

Oh, for those ladies with portion control issues, Wal-Mart has a GREAT kitchen scale in their clearance dept. It was $7.00 and goes up to 6 pounds 11 ounces. It's got a dishwasher safe, removable plastic food tray, and I've actually been using that as a plate, lol. I hate doing dishes, so why bother to measure stuff out and dirty a new plate?!

Thanks for the tip on the food scale. I need to get one. I agree with not dirtying another plate if you don't have to. lol. I HATE washing dishes. Don't have a dishwasher. But, you can bet that my next house will have one.

Good Morning girls! Well day 3 for me. I had a funny incident last night, I've never cooked real oatmeal in my life, only microwaveable. So on Monday, when I first started, I did one cup of water to 1 1/2 cups of oatmeal! Whoops, no wonder I didn't really like it! hahaha, now I'm better at cookin it. My boyfriend still gives me **** for it though

Sherry-Wow 19 degrees? Yikes!!!! We had that weather only a couple of weeks ago, when we has our freak snow storm! Hope you are staying warm.
Good job on the water consumption, I'm also constantly running to the bathroom. I hate it when I'm warm and toasty in bed and get that feeling. LOL OH well....

good morning all...I had a dream last night that I cheated while I was in phase I....This sat is my trips B-Day party.....I have to be strong this whole weekend because I want to hangout with friends and stuff....I have to be strong and stay on the path...lord help me

Ise, take your own food. Seriously. If you KNOW they arent going to eat alot of "plan food", then, plan your own. Take what you would normally eat at those times, and if you feel the need, you can sample some of theirs, but eat your plan food first. That way, you can honestly tell them, "No thanks, I'm stuffed!" Be strong lady, it's hard work, but completely doable!

Tinky~ I laughed out loud when I read about your oatmeal experience. lol. Glad you are staying warm. I hate having to go potty all day because Joshua HAS to go with me. He can't stand for me to be in the bathroom without him. lol. Then, he has to get into everything in there. UGH! I try to sneak away and go potty.. but you can't get anything past him. lol.

ise~ Angi gave you some really good advice. It is always hard when you have functions to go to. But, you have to decide how much you want to be healthy. I'm not saying it is easy.. but YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Angi~ I noticed that you have already lost 45 lbs. How did you do it? Was it on FS or another plan? Whatever you did.. CONGRATULATIONS!! You have done an awesome job!!!

Sherry, the initial 45 pounds, to be honest, I wasn't even thinking about, lol. I just started watching portions, and normally, we bring the food to the table to eat and, well, before you know it, I've had 3, 4 maybe more helpings of whatever, just because we tend to not leave the table until everyone is done eating, including my 18 month son. Which, honestly, dinner can last an hour. So, I started fixing plates at the stove and having to think about if I truly wanted more food, or if I was just eating because it was in front of me. I started moving more, taking the kids to the parks, we went to the lake EVERY weekend last summer, so, alot of swimming and running after kids trying to drown themselves and each other. Now, I'm concentrating on it, it seems to be going slower? LOL, ah well, such is life, it'll leave eventually!

I've done my WATP 3 mile and my free weights so I'm off to shower, and Matt has promised me a full body massage with lotion! YAY

This is the best diet. Although, I call it more of a lifestyle change. Carlos & I have been on it since August 31st. It has really changed our lives. Please be strong to all of you in phase 1. You will get through it. We are supposed to be in Phase 4 but we are sticking to phase 3 until we get to our goals. Good luck to all of you. You can do it.

Hi everyone -

I have had a bad 2 days - I ate an entire box of snickerdoodle cookies yesterday - That was like 1000 calories - 200 shy of what I usually eat in day. I also ate gumbo w/ chicken & shrimp then I had a turkey sandwich and chicken noodle soup today. Not a good menu for someone on detox I think I am eating over stress from getting married or something. I wanted to do so well so my dress looks good on Fri I am still working out so I guess that is one good thing. I have to run, i have a hair appt. I will check in later tonight or tomorrow. Lem

I have had a great day today. I got a surprise.. DH came home early. YEA! They had lots snow.. so they couldn't work. He works outside. He wasn't supposed to come home until tomorrow night. He brought fruit with him, too. LOL. I was getting low.

Lem~ I bet you are just nervous. Probably not nervous.. but anxious. That can make you want to nibble. You are gonna look fabulous Friday!! No matter how many snickerdoodles you eat!!

Sherry- I had to laugh about your son following you everywhere, when I get home I have my four legged daugher follow me everywhere. Our 5 month old Pug doesn't let me out of her sight, from the bathroom, shower, cooking, cleaning. I have a bathroom buddy everytime. Unless my boyfriend is holdin her.

I just hope I can get through on Sunday, we're suppose to head over to my "future-future in laws" for dinner. Yeah the boyfriend just snuck this one on me. They always cook some very good dishes!! I'll be bringing my food along though. :::thinks to self "gotta have will power!"::: though they're pretty supportive of me anyways. But it's me that I worry about, but I've been so good this week so far. (crossing fingers) LOL !
