Hmmm... lots of posts to catch up on since I didn't read any yesterday.

Wezi: lol, I like your nickname. Reminds me of the little penquin from toy story.
to the party. I just joined myself a few days ago. These ladies rock!
I picked my goal weight out of thin (no pun intended) air. I have never been at a healthy weight my whole life, I was "overwight" in kindergarten. I just think that 150 sounds thin & healthy but not too skinny. I have a big frame so I don't know what I will end up looking like. I figure once I get to say 200, that I will reaccess. I don't care right now what the end # will be, just as long as I am going downwards now. I personally can't imagine being at a low weight or "goal" weight, it seems like something you only dream of. Overtime I hope that changes.

Melissa: Way to go on upping the intensity of your walking! I too have been getting most of my cardio exercise from walking right now since the weather is so nice & I get bored of DVDs. I wonder what my speeds are. I think I need to invest in a pedometer thing (so I can walk over 2 million steps like Misti )
I hope your scale will be moving soon.
Thats great that journaling is working for you. I did an online blog/journal when I lost weight earlier this year. Right now I am not doing it because it got on my nerves after while. We will see if I need to go back to it.

Ammi: Glad you are starting to feel better. I'm sure you'll be back at the exercise in no time. Be sure to get some food in you first so you don't pass out!
I have seen the Gazelle commericals with the teeny toned women but I have always thought that they should include larger women on those things too. Aren't the overweight the majority of their target audience? Don't we buy the most exercise equipment? I would much rather see someone like you up there kicking *** & taking names then those little stick fiqures. Keep at it Chica!

Luan: I haven't been around for all of the story but sorry you are having man troubles. You deserve better & Mr. Right will come along. Until then I have a slightly used husband that I would be willing to rent you. lol

Misti: Just out of curiosity, how long have you been stuck on your plateau? That must suck big time. Don't give up (not that you would), I'm sure it will break soon.
lol, about the meatloaf seasonings.

Nancy: I live about 45 mins east of Atlanta. DH actually works in Atlanta. I have only lived here & New Orleans but I do love it here.
Congrats on raising all that money & for making it through your walk. Just think, next year you might be running it instead!
I am happy your are getting back on track. That 2 mile walk is a good starting place!
Happy anniversary!

Valerie: So sorry about your relationship problems. It sounds like you will be better off alone. I will offer you the same deal as Luan, husband for hire, cheap, lol. He is handy around the house if that helps seal the deal, lol.
Awesome improvement on the treadmill, thats very impressive! Its great that you can use it as an outlet for your stress, anger & frustration. A much better outlet then food.

Michelle: I never went to Baton Rouge myself but know alot of people from there. We lived in Houma.
Alaska is me & DH's dream spot. We want to take an alaskan cruise one day (should have been a honeymoon but we didn't have the money -- now we will have to wait til DD is bigger). We also joke all the time that we are just gonna pack up everything & move up there.
Congrats on your skin improving & your coat getting looser. Two great NSVs! I too notice that when I eat better (especially more clean food) and don't drink soda my skin gets better.

Sandy: Congrats on fitting into smaller clothes. I can't wait til my smaller stuff starts fitting again.

Lillion: Congrats on riding those rides. I LOVE amusement parks but haven't been in a long time (gosh probably close to 10 yrs now) because of my size. I definately want to be MUCH smaller by the time DD is old enough to go.

Annie: love the doggie bikini shot. I dress up my dogs too. They have a whole cabinet full of stuff lol. I've gotten better about it now that I have DD to dress up though, lol. I'm sure my beagal is relieved, lol.

Geesh, that was alot. lol

Quickly about me: I am trying to jog some while I walk. Last night I went out for a quick after dinner walk & was able to do 4 jog intervals! They still aren't very log but I am getting better each time. One day I wouldn really like to be a runner. I think I would enjoy that.

Hope you all have a great day!

<- just because I didn't use many throughout my post. lol

just wanted to post a quick reply--i liked wyllen's idea about setting a goal weight that got her out of the "obese" range on the bmi scale. so i thought i'd do the same thing and what do you know--200 will get me into the overweight category, so i'm going to stick with that for now. thanks for all the great advice.

i also decided that i'm not going to weigh myself tomorrow like i had thought. when i got to work today, the youngest boy i nanny had a school cancellation due to a broken water pipe. that messed up my plans to go to water aerobics this morning, and it's also my "favorite" (please note the sarcasm) TOM. i don't think i could take seeing the scale go back up, so i decided to just skip it. i may do it friday, or i may just wait for next week.

well, i feel like typing away my life story or something--it's rainy and gloomy today and being on seems to cheer me up--but nathan (the one home from school) is done with his lunch and wants me to read to him. i can never say no to reading!

have a great monday everyone! lori
