Talking

Hello chickas - and chicko!

Well, I ended the day very nearly OP yesterday! I was probably over on my points a bit, but that's okay, that's what flexies are for. I also walked 1.2 miles and did 11 minutes on the evil eliptical and then some hand-weight work. I feel much better about myself today!

Maria Lucia: Loved your round-butt story! I may not be latin...but I've always wanted a Lopez tushie. I never understood why anyone would say Jennifer Lopez has a big butt! Women should have curves darn it! I'm quite happy to say that I noticed myself the other day that my butt is much, much smaller than it used to be. My thought, actually, was that I will need a bum roll if I start making Elizabethan costumes. For thos who don't know, a bum roll is basically a long skinny pillow you wrap around your hips to make your butt look bigger! Here's a photo...

I never needed one before - it was built in! But now I wish mine was rounder...I'm hoping the walking will help!

Sharon: Don't you LOVE it when pants that didn't use to fit start fitting? It's one of my favorite NSV's!

Patti: I know you exercise a bunch, so the plateau may be food-related. Have you tried eating MORE? I know that sounds silly...but if you don't get enough calories you may plateau because your body thinks it's starving. Worth a try. I find it useful to eat more some days, less others. Jilly does that too.

Ammi: WOW - What a way to wake up! Nothing exciting happens on my street - thank GOD!

Kris - !

Dogpal - Good to see you again!

Where the heck is Garnet????

Julee: Glad your visit is going well! And on the clothes! I'm still looking for that elusive size 18! But I'm WAY not petite!

Totally out of time here! Must run. Smootchies to everyone I missed!!! Have a great day!

Just a really quick note to say I am feeling good (even after a bit too much food last night - including ice cream ) and am down another 2 pounds this week. Only two more to go to hit the 40 lost mark. I am hoping I can get there next week, but we'll see.

My BF has to work tonight so I will have plenty of time for long personals this evening. Hope everyone is having a great day.

I haven't been posting much, mostly lurking. I feel like I don't have much to contribute since I haven't exactly been putting in much effort as far as my eating or exercise. I'm really trying to figure myself out right now. I mean, of course I know that I want to lose weight and as I've already stated, I'm tired of the pressure I put on myself. But at the same time, I'm worried that if I put no pressure on myself that I will basically be allowing myself to stay fat. Where is that middle ground??? I haven't figured it out yet. I'm pretty broke for a while (can't do any major food shopping until the first of May) so the least I can do is add exercise back into my every day routine again. Some days I feel like I know just what I want and other days I'm more confused than ever.

Patti (toofatforu2) - Ah yes, never a dull moment here, it's worse in the summer months because people like to sit in the garden drinking booze, and with the heat and the booze, more fights happen. I think the police are fed up of being called to this street!

I hope that drinking more water as you plan might help with your plateau, anything is worth a try.

Lilion - Ah yes a bit of boredom on this street and waking up to nothing but the birds singing would be beautiful. Oh well we will move one day and hopefully to a nicer area.

Well done on all the exercise you have been doing, I bet you will see great results in the way your clothes fit, and on the scales. You are so close to having lost 100 lbs, that is awesome. Can't wait to celebrate when you do get there!!

Nancy - well done on the 2 lbs lost It's brilliant that you are so close to having lost 40 lbs, that's nearly 3 stone in UK terms. Amazing!!

Tracey - I know just how you are feeling, I think we have all been there many times on many diets of old. I get so mad at myself sometimes because I know all the reasons I NEED to lose weight, but then I just give up and over eat. I think you are doing the right thing in trying to keep up with your exercising, at least that will help if you do eat more than you should. I hope you will be able to find that middle ground, I too am still trying to find it!

Sharon - just want to say hi here because I won't be on MSN today. Going to finish up here then go make a start on tea. Hope we can chat tomorrow though.

Garnet, Christine, Andrea, Velma, Catherine, Lori, Wyllen, Jill, Kayley and anybody else I have missed, hope you post soon and that all is well with you.

Take care all and I might get chance to come back online much later tonight.

Hugs,

Ammi

All is lovely here in West Virginia today, I have been working on putting up winter clothes and bringing out the summer ones. and I have found that a lot of the clothes are TO BIG yippppy.. the only down fall is that I must spend some mooolaaaa to get enough clothing to make it through the summer.. I will live., all is OP today as well, I am treating myself to a Diet Dr. Pepper, It is allowed on my diet, I just use it sparingly for my treat... aye, what ever works. 80 degrees today, My little brother plays High School Baseball and he has a game at 4pm today, so I will be cheering him on.. He is a good player, even if I do say so myself.. Take Care Everyone...
