Hey gals, I was just rereading the bios since I have gotten to know a few of you know the bios are more interesting - anyway - I notice some of you havent posted there yet - no fair - I showed you mine...
We always welcome new members to our thread, the more the merrier! This bio thread is for people who have been posting on the 30-Something's thread on a regular basis. If you do not post on the thread at least once a week, please refrain from posting your bio! We would love to get to know you, but we can't if you don't post on a regular basis! THANKS!
IF YOU HAVE NOT POSTED IN 30 DAYS, YOUR BIO WILL BE REMOVED!
PJ, that's why not everyone's bio is there. I put that message there because we had a lot of new people come and post their bio and never post on the thread, or post a couple times and never again. I would prefer that new people wait until they decide they want to stick around with us before posting a bio.
Playgroup here today. Oh my, you don't even want to see my playroom. I have a shelf made out of dowels made specifically to hold a bunch of bins. The first thing they did was empty each and every bin. Ugh. Everything from stuffed animals to matchbox cars. I'm not looking forward to going to clean that mess up! It was a small group today, only two four year olds and three two year olds. It was a fun day.
PJ: It's always great to realize that just because you screwed up yesterday, doesn't mean you have to screw up today today!
I was just re-reading the bios, and Karen your anniversary is on my birthday. How cool is that? Does any of you know what happened to Rabbit or Amity? Rabbit's bio is still up, but I haven't seen her in a while.
I ran into PJ over the newbie board and she told me that she is hanging out here, so thought that I would check it out.
Just a few facts about me...
I am 35, married, no kids, dog, live in British Columbia, Canada, working in finance for the gov't, and currently doing the school thing and will be writing my accounting designation exam next summer.
I am currently following WW, but always interested in other programs to keep things fresh. Life seems so busy that exercise is probably the hardest part of this all.
Look forward to getting to know you all. Take care and TTYS
Lisa, Rabbit hasn't posted since 2/28. I miss her, but I think she felt like she didn't belong anymore, since we had soo many new people that were in a different place in their lives. I sure hope she pops back in sometime to say hi. Honestly, the reason I left her bio up is because Rabbit is one of the originals on this thread, along with me, RR, and Karen. I guess I just hope she'll come back someday. Amity hasn't posted since 4/16.
Well here it is, Thursday already (Friday for me - he he) . Hope everyone is doing good today?
I am excited to be going hiking again this weekend - a friend of ours is taking us up in the woods on a 5 mile round trip hike into a very secluded lake. Should be very scenic and tranquil. Not to mention the benefits of hiking outside - bonus.
Teri, I am so glad you decide to join us. It is much easier to keep track of your group when your group sticks together.
Karen, hows that playroom looking this morning? I think you just detailed one of the reasons I havent had any kids yet - I can barely (I am not kidding) take care of the house with just me and DH - and the dogs.
LBH, happy late bday - I just realized that you said your bday was the 17th - duh. Hope your party was a success.
Wish I had a personal message for everyone but still trying to get everyones lives straight - getting to know you all better - it will get easier.
Never say diet - When people ask me if I am on a diet - I say no - I am merely making better choices about what I eat and how much and when. It is called healthy living.

PJ - I like that !! What a great way to look at things !!! and today is my Friday too That hike sounds wonderful, I would think of doing something similar but the temps here this weekend are gonna be over 100 all weekend! Have a great time !!! and stay cool !!!
Karen - I hope that your play room looks A LOT better than mine does this morning The kids being out of school are playing havic on my house .
playroom?? my whole house is a playroom! I am drinking my lovely nutrition shake, I have to drink atleast one a day since having my lapband surgery. I have my weigh in on monday I am hoping I have lost atleast another couple of pounds. I have hit a stand still over the past month so I have tried to change things up a little to get myself on the loosing track again. I was hoping to be 150 by Christmas but it's looking like it will not happen. Just as long as I lose weight instead of gaining I will be ok. Have a greaat day all!!
Tiffy - good to see you again - I was wondering about you this morning but havent memorized everyones names yet and didnt want to be a dork - anyway congrats on breaking 200
- I havent weighed under 200 since I got married 6 years ago - was 196, we went to Jamaica and I lazed around and ate at the buffet and came home at 205 - could you die?! Talk about the stereotype of marriage making women gain weight coming true - then I held it at 210 for a couple years - when we moved here I thought all these hills I am sure to lose weight - but working from home and at my PC all the time I gained 20 lbs right away - plus hubby wasnt working and we were eating very good - he was making me bkfst and lunch every day and I was making elaborate dinners. Then last summer I hit 250 which at the time was the most I had ever weighed - my last peak was in 1995 when I was 248 - I wont discuss how I lost the weight back then since it was not a healthy choice. Last summer I dieted off 10 lbs then got lazy and complacent and since I dont have to dress up for anyone I wound up at 260 this May - I freaked, bought a new scale - no difference. So here I am now down to 242 and determined to make this a life change.
This website is awesome - I can vent and you all are in the same boat and I dont have to do it alone.
Hi, I thought I would introduce myself. I am single and 35 from Ontario, Canada. I stumbled upon this site while browsing the internet looking for people going through the same stuff as I am. I was amazed at this website and the support that is available. The program I am on is working well (so far) but there is no one I know that is doing the program. It is just nice to see others going through the same struggles.
Norissa - I figure if you say you are on a diet - people start to monitor what you eat and give you "advice" "are you supposed to have that on your diet?" I hate that - because if I want a pc of choc - I am having it - *@!#%
And the only one that can make me stick to my "diet" is me.
