Today has been a good day so far. I went to the gym for an hour and logged 3.25 miles. I am going back to do another mile this evening. I had a delicious breakfast of low-fat cottage cheese with banana slices and orange slices. For lunch I had one of those SB diet meals ( they are so good) and two tomato slices for a snack, along with three sweet maui onion chips. Dinner will be a spinach salad with carrots and ground turkey meat. Who said dieting had to taste bad right?

I hope everyone is doing well

Donna, we will all be sending you positive vibes! ((((((((Donna))))))) You take care of you!

Ok, today was nuts at work, but I am getting a post in!

forgot my breakfast, started at work before 8am to catch up from Friday, especially to make sure the Roid didn't mess up any of my stuff. This is starting to work itself out. My loan consultant is liking the new world order, thinks it is working wonderfully, and I totally agree. No more 2 hour meetings to go over her stuff when I can be working on my own problems, and helping resolve things like credit issues, customer service issues & servicing things.

Lunch was good- chicken strips, 1/2 cup cole slaw, and water. Then, when I got home, hubby was starving, so I did not have the best dinner. Fast food. Then, out for an inspection with him, so that I'd have a few minutes together with him.

Tomorrow- the water chart comes out, and I start peeing myself senseless again. And, I'll dust off Leslie before the end of the week

Comments in the morning- it has taken me waaaay to long to type this as it is.

(((((((( Chickies! )))))))))

Default Here I am!

Evening chickies...I know...this is a switch! Me posting at bedtime! But I'm here anyway!

No major complaints today! My back is a little sore from all the lifting/digging/bending over the weekend, but nothing I can't deal with! The tongue is healing...slowly!

Food today was pretty good, aside from a piece of fudge (with walnuts) that someone gave me this morning. I ate it in lieu of breakfast! Lunch was a chef's salad and supper was chicken salad with grapes and celery! I did have a very small bowl of icecream with caramel sauce after supper. And the best part of the day is that I made a batch of popcorn...and didn't eat it! I tasted it...and DH had bought some HOT popcorn (as in spicy)...Blech! I did NOT like the taste of that at all!

Didn't get in my exercise tonight, but we (DH, DD and I) did take a bike ride (not fast as DD is just learning on her two wheeler and kept having to "rest"). It was a good way to get out and enjoy the fresh air and move a bit! Probably went a good mile or two anyway! I keep trying to get up for WATP in the morning, but it just isn't happening! I will try again tomorrow!

MsRD...How about you? Did you have that date with Leslie? I will if you do in the morning!! (nudge, nudge)!!

Jennifer...you sound like you are getting back on track! We can't expect perfection, but we can make healthy choices! Did you have a salad with that fast food????? Glad you are back with us chickies!

Mud...your food sound so good! Would you come to my house and prepare for me? I hate to prepare meals!!!

Donna...we are here for you! Fingers crossed and prayers out to you, my friend! ((((((((Donna)))))))))))

Elisha...I'm proud of you for saying no to going out for lunch! I know how much you enjoy that! Me too! Pizza Hut on Friday sounds like a plan! You are doing great and tell Steve thanks for helping out our chickie!!! He's a good guy~! Hope you found the brownie recipe that Lisa posted on our site!

Star Angel...you sound like you are doing great. What kind of diet did the doctor put you on? I want easy!!! LOL! Your exercise is wonderful! Ineed to get back up to that and SOON!!!

Joy...So good to have you back here! One goal sounds more feasible doesn't it? Don't get overwhelmed! We need you here! The alfredo sounds yummy! I love alfredo...any kind!! Yummy!

OK...gotta get to bed so I can get up in the morning to work out! Hugs to all!

So.... just a quickie tonight.... I know... promises promises

I did pretty well today...

I went to bed at 10:15 pm last night and got up at 4am and did WATP 1 & 2 mile, and then went for 2 ffteen minute walks during coffee break

Food was pretty good.... did slip and have a light beer after dinner (whilst digging and sacking 6' cedar trees). I drank about 64 oz of water

... so I think I call today a success.... one down - the rest of my life to go

It's already 9:22 so I'll call it a night and get ready for bed (after I make my lunch, coffee for the morning and sweep the kitchen floor)

Morning! I am starting to find it easier to get up in the mornings, as I am not dreading being in here with the Roid. Hey, I can change my tagline, too! Woo Hoo!

I have my breakfast and lunch packed, and I'm munching now while I get my post in.

Plan for the day:

Breakfast
1 apple & cinnamon cottage double
1 yoplait 6oz yogurt
vitamins! (I remembered!)
12oz diet coke (my only caffeine)
32oz water

Lunch
Healthy Choice lasagna bake
need to get some kind of fruit to go with it

Dinner tonight-
nothing planned, but NO FAST FOOD

That's the basics....focus this week on getting my water in- keeping track on my wall calendar here at work.

More at lunch time. Morning everyone!!!!! Let's make this a great day!

Morning chicks!

Yesterday did not turn out how I had planned! But it still wasn't bad. Water ended up at around 72 oz. Lunch turned out to be Wendy's, but I had the grilled chicken sandwich instead of the breaded fried chicken I wanted. We got a new girl at work, and we went to lunch. I like her. Then my brother called and told me to stop by because he had a present for me (2 Sims Expansion packs! Woohoo! I *love* Sims!), and his girlfriend was making me dinner. She made baked fish, rice, and steamed veggies, so that was good. Exercise didn't happen though. For some reason I knew it wouldn't. Just so I get it in this week I'll be ok.

Today Steve's mom is coming to town and taking us out to lunch. I've only met her for about 20 minutes, and that was months ago. I really liked her then though. I don't know where we're going, or even what time (Steve is supposed to call me with more information later), but I'm going to do my best to eat healthy. If I can, I'll look up their menu and nutritional info online before I go.

Anyway, I'm going to go update my signature (1.70 miles yesterday), and journal, and find some work to do. Have a great day, chicks.

Okay ladies.... This is how it was today.

Got up at 4am and promptly nodded off for 30 minutes, then had coffee and did my Tai Chi video for about an hour.... really doesn't feel like a work out.... but I have really noticed increased flexibility.... I can actually squat now... which was impossible a while ago with my "knee troubles", I have also noticed that the way in which you stretch has improved my upper back pain, it actually cracks like when the chiropractor does it. I think I'm also relaxing abit about being hard on myself, kind of being more acceptable of myself, my decisions and how I approach things - which is inexplicably making me more organized... Who woulda figured?? Anyways 2 mile WATP planned for tomorrow 4:30am be there or be square.... Where are you MsRd?

Breakfast - porridge & yoghurt
Snack - carrots & apple
Lunch - Greek salad, calebreise bun, orange, bag of light popcorn
Snack - 6 hermit cookies (can't have them in the house)
Dinner - clam chowder (white) barbequed salmon, rice and mixed veggies.
Water is at abour 48 oz (7pm)
Not too bad if you overlook the cookies Gotta get more water in!

Didn't get much done around the house after work.... to tired and it's raining.... I know excuses...excuses.

Tomorrow's focus is laundry and hopefully it will stop raining and I can get the lawns mowed or work weeding those flowerbeds. I have finished the wall painting in the ensuite now and just have trim to do... YAY then the toilet can go back on and I can order the blinds. I want to put in the Hunter Luminette sheers... anybody have any experience with them?

Take care everybody

Wow, slow day on the board....

But I'm here!

Joy, thank you for that little note! I wish I would have read it earlier this afternoon, because now I feel really motivated!

Today didn't turn out as planned, surprise, surprise. I had a meeting scheduled and couldn't make it to lunch with Steve and his mom, but he called and said he was making me dinner to make up for it. Turns out dinner was cheese steak hoagies and french fries with ranch dressing. Cheese steak hoagies are my favorite, and pretty impossible for me to pass up. At least they were homemade and somewhat healthy, at least opposed to buying one that's basically coated in lard. And there were cookies and popcorn at the meeting--I had a handful of light popcorn and one sugar cookie. I did really good at lunch and allowed myself the cookie not expecting the dinner I had.

So calories are a bit high--2063--but water is also really high--120 oz! And I just finished 2.5 miles with Leslie, so technically I'm not over budget. I'm tired though. And 1.98 pedometer miles today.

My goal for tomorrow is to eat less than 1800 calories. That seems a bit high, but these days I'm having trouble getting under 2000, so it's going to be a challenge. More chicken and rice soup for lunch, I suspect, and fruit as snacks. Friday is payday, and I plan to stock up on healthy foods.

OK, I'm almost falling asleep here in my chair, so I'm going to bed. See you chicks in the morning!

I'm ....back.....

I forgot to log my mileage for today.... I managed to get one 15 minute walk in today, had to rescue dgs with a lift home during afternoon break.... Plan to do 2 miles with Leslie tomorrow morning and two fifteen minute walks tomorrow.... hopefully the rain will stop.

I did manage to get something done tonight.... I went outside to feed the animals and decides to brush my Chow, Sandy.... her winter fur is falling out and she looks terrible and then had to brush Ginger... because she was jealous..... then Smokie, my only male cat wanted some love too.... then I decided, since I had my raincoat on anyways that I would set my timer for 15 minutes to weed the flower bed..... YAY me...

Anyways, gotta go change my signature.

Goodnight (9:09pm)

Grrr.... I just lost my post. Stupid internet!

I'm feeling... I don't know. The word that comes to mind is "ferocious." I'm pissed off and cranky and I really need some more caffeine, but I'm also is a decently happy mood.

Breakfast:
1/2 cup coffee w/creamer
16.9 oz. Aquafina FlavorSplash
1 bagel
1 tbsp LF mayo
1 slice American cheese

Lunch:
Spaghetti w/meat sauce
1/2 c FF chocolate pudding

Snack:
Apple

Lots of water

Dinner: who knows?

Ugh... I'm going to go journal. I actually have stuff to say today. I'm sure I'll be back later. Have a great day, chicks.

Morning, chicklettes!

Typing fast, because I have a project at 9am to work on. Woo Hoo!

Last night after work, hubby & I went to Home Depot EXPO center, and might have actually found our lights for the foyer, dining room, and breakfast nook! Considering we have been looking & looking & usually nothing is big enough for that area. We spent over an hour and a half walking the entire store. Man, my feeties were sore- I had my heels on from work!

Dinner after that- chicken breast w/ barbecue sauce & shredded cheese melted, citrus rice, and I had too much whole grain bread, but was starving, since it was 8pm when we finally ate. Figured it was better to have that then munch on crap later on.

Plan for today:

Breakfast
2 zone bars
12oz diet coke
vitamins
32oz water

Lunch:
chicken breast w/ lime juice
1 cup black beans
1 cup rice

Dinner:
TBD

And tonight, I vow to spend 1 hour working in my computer room / guest bedroom getting stuff put away, and weeded through. They upped our move-in date to about September/Early October of this year, so now I have to get cracking! Yikes! Hey chickies, wanna come visit & help me move? I should have plenty of room for the whole gang, and hubby will cook!

Joy- 4:30am is the end of a good evening, not a wake up time! Just kidding- hubby is like that, but I'm not a morning person at all. I don't have any experience with those sheers, so I can't help there. That's one of the next areas I have to deal with- widndow treatments up the wazoo.

Elisha- way to go with that water. I have to pee just reading about all that! mmm...cheese steaks- I miss those from the northeast. In PA, you could get a great cheese steak, but the grease would ooze out of the roll.

Poop- project time- I'll check in later- also have to cover for the receptionist at 1- 2 hours without the roid!

Me and my friend at work are suppose to go walking on our lunch, but it's looking like it wants to rain outside.. so we'll see. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day! Wish me luck! g2g chickies. Later.

Hello All

Sorry to have missed so many days posting.....I am still putting my house back together after having the family room carpeted and bathroom tiled. We are such pack rats, and I am using this time to organize some stuff.....toss out what we don't need...pack other stuff away.....simplify, simplify, simplify.

I am getting back on track with the diet too. Water has been good, and I have done the 1-mile WATP for the past 2 nights. Food is just so-so......it has been so miserably hot that we just don't feel like eating or cooking!

Lisa....Have a wonderful trip, chickie!

Jessica.....You did a great job watching the portions and not eating when you were not hungry......and on vacation too! It is so easy to slip-up when you are away from home.....that takes real fortitude of spirit!

Mud.....Yum! Your meals sound soooo good. But then, food always tastes better when someone else fixes it.......

(((Donna)))....thinking of you chickie and hoping all is well.

Joy.....You are really logging the miles on! Exercise always makes the difference for me.....both physically and mentally. I have to remind myself of that now......I had stopped exercising for the past month or so and now it is soooo hard to get going again!

Julie.....Glad you are feeling better! Yard work can be quite a workout all by itself!

Elisha.....Did you make your 1800-calorie goal? Like you, I am waiting til payday to restock the cupboards with healthy stuff. (And, wouldn't you know it.....DH wrote 'cookies' on the grocery list! Wish there was a kind that I didn't like!)

Jennifer.....It is so nice to see you post again! It is really amazing how just reading thru everyones posts, and hearing the encouragement, can really lift my spirits. It is so motivational.....and I don't think I say thank you to my chickies often enough.

Got some laundry to finish yet tonight......so better sign off early

Evening chicks!

Woohoo!
Food, exercise, and water all on target today! I've had well over 100 oz. of water (I lost count, but have it written down somewhere), 30 minutes on the elliptical plus a circuit on the weight machine, and not only did I MEET my 1800 calorie goal, I only had 1404 calories today! I didn't even have to try that hard, I just didn't really feel like eating. And at lunch I actually had more than I felt like eating. I guess I'm one of those people who can't leave things on their plate. I feel like I need something else though. I had a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch when I got home around 6 (that's what I wanted, so that's what I had), and I just had half a cucumber and an apple, but I want something more substantial. We'll see.

I got in 1.58 pedometer miles today, plus 2 on the elliptical. I need to add those to my signature, then I think I'll hit the sack. Have a great night, chicks!
