Hope your January has started off amazingly for all of you! I am happy with my progress so far...I know it's only been 4 days into the month but it has been an inspiring 4 days...we have decided that we are going to go ahead with a tubal reversal and try for another baby by the end of the year! So excited, now just to get my weight down enough for surgery...

I have had a great start so far. Unless my scale is lying to me, I have lost about 6 pounds I know that a lot was retained water because of all the salt food Iate prior to January, but I can't help but be excited!

I'm late in joining, but I am already working towards a monthly goal so I thought I'd jump in. Hope no one minds!

I'm down 1.8 pounds in four days, but I'm still not sure if my goal is realistic. New to the sustained weight loss game, haha. I guess we'll see!

Congratulations Kalikat! 6 pounds is an amazing start...even if any of it was water weight it still makes you 6 pounds lighter.

I am down 3 pounds and so happy...it's funny how I can still be this overweight but 3 pounds can make such a difference. Like you Kalikat, I'm sure most was from water retention but what a relief to have it gone!

I am just getting started but need a little extra push so I will join this challenge.

My starting weight is 210
I would like to loose 5 pounds this month

1st Mini Goal - Under 200 (By Mid - March)
2nd Mini Goal - Under 190
3rd Mini Goal - Run a 10 Km (By June)
4th Mini Goal - Under 180
5th Mini Goal - Goal of 175
6th Mini Goal - Run a half Marathon (October)

I haven't done my 'official' weekly weigh in yet, but as of this morning I am 7.6 lbs down

As said above, I am sure some of its water weight, but hey, it was still 'weighing' me down!

My goal for the month was 10 lbs. I can't believe I might meet that in my first 2 weeks.

Hello all. I am new to the site and trying to jump in and get the support that I need. My goal is to loose 8 lbs this month. How do I use this thread. Do I just keep coming back and posting my progress or lack there of. Or do I just post what I wanted to lose? Anyways good luck ladies! Here's to 2013!

Ross- there aren't really any rules to this, do what makes you feel comfortable so come back and post progress whenever you want to!

I'm up today, though still down for the year, which is not surprising at all. I'm still eating OP but I haven't been able to motivate myself to exercise at all this year. Seems so dramatic but it's only 5 days! Anyway I've got 6 days before I go on vacation so I have no time to slack.

I just needed to write that down so I had a bit more accountability. I'm hoping to still be down to 87kg by Saturday morning so I've got some work to do. I was 88.2 this morning.

Still losing which is a good thing but only ounces gone today so nothing worth reporting. Hope you are all doing well...I think we are all doing terrific especially since we are working on all this extra holiday weight.

Welcome Ross! I think the best thing about this site is that we can post anything on our minds...being our victories, our downfalls or even tonight's dinner plans and it just helps to know that we are among people in a similar life situation as us. Wish all the best for you to reach your goals!

Hi everyone, I just started here. I'm up for the challenge. Yes, sometimes I feel like I can't do it. But finally i'm eating healthy and doing enough exercise. Soon enough I will reach my goal and hopefully it doesn't drive me mad. I'm aiming for a year.

I want to join in too.

I created this ticker on my first weighing of the year which was 2nd January. I hadn't weighed for a week before that as I stopped weighing when I got depressed at seeing the weight go up each day.

I would like to lose at least 9 pounds during January.

I have to admit that my weight was 163 pounds a week before Christmas...
