Sometimes it seems like the weight is coming of so slowly! if at all... With the drastic change in diet I would think that I would be leaving fat deposits everywhere I went...in the car, on the desk chair, especially on the trail and even stopping up the shower! I know I didn't gain the weight overnight so I shouldn't expect to lose it that way but some days I feel a little more impatient than others.
Right well I'm changing my weigh in day to Thursday as I'm doing another challenge type thing and that weigh in day is Thursday... also OMFG I surpassed my goal for this month! Woop Woop!!!! 136.6 today! And I get to change my ticker .

Good job, minoja75, thinking through the issue. I was also flabbergasted that the big change in diet didn't yield a quicker weight loss. It helped when DH pointed out that I had been gaining before, so at least half of the diet effort went into stopping the weight gain so that the weight loss could happen.
I got to move my ticker two more pounds down and I'm now back in the realm of what feels like normal weight to me. Yay! I'm pleased and a little surprised that I'm actually losing weight quickly at this stage. It confirms that my body wants to settle somewhere a little below 170.

minoja75: I know exactly how you feel. We make so many changes and our losses remain so low sometimes. It's frustrating! We just have to keep plugging along and eventually the losses will catch up (right? lol). Even if they stay low, at least we're still losing! Progress is progress!

As for me, the summer has really slowed my efforts. I've been so busy and the weather has been so hot, I just can't keep myself on plan. I'm trying so hard just to not gain, any loss is really a victory. Hoping that once the summer is over I can get myself back on track and maybe find some new motivation! This week's weigh in: 196.5

Painted butterfly and Gardenerjoy - I totally understand the excitement of seeing the ticker slide over! I feel like my scale was wavering, but since the ticker wouldn't let me post half a pound, I went with a 2 pound loss.
So, I figure if the scale only moves a smidge next week, I'll be ok with that...
Ok, I'm off to try & boogie off some more weight!
