Personally 1200 is fine for me and worked great for me to lose more than 10lbs . . I'm only 5'2" and I have an office job so I do not need tons of calories . . I think you should listen to your body. If you are tired all the time or are not working out to your full potential than you need more calories.

I am totally willing to believe that it is doable for you, but I promise, it isn't doable for me, not in a sustainable fashion. Eating 1500-1700 calories a day, I lost 135 lbs in 14 months. I was clearly running a 1000 calorie deficit for all of that, to lose at that rate. 1200 makes me a starving, raging WITCH, and for years I thought that meant something was wrong with me, that I was a wimp compared to all those other people who could do 1200. But it's not. I really need more and lose fine on it.
