Me.
Don't have any significant others.
I'm enjoying this me-time though: one of my (manifold) issues is that I find it hard to have an understanding of myself except as seen in other people's responses to me. I'm enjoying spending time with me.

And, no schmalz, I love the support I get here.

I'm another one that provides a lot of self-support. My SO does, too, though he's not the praise-and-compliment type. Instead what he does is a lot of the cooking, always making sure this is something I can eat or asking if that dish can be altered and be acceptable. He brags about me to other people, but I'm rarely around to hear it.

Well... I wish I could say my husband but like some women here my hubby was always athletic and skinny and doesn't always get how much of a struggle it is for me. Like the other day I'm sure he thought he was hilarious but we were walking to get food and he asked me to speed walk... Thing is... I was! He is a full foot taller than me so in addition to his longer stride and stamina, I was falling behind. I don't think he realized how embarrassing it was that I was physically unable to keep up.

My fiance is my biggest cheerleader, followed by my kids and myself. The day I was able to get back on the wagon was the day that I realized I was killing myself and my kids were following some really bad examples. So since that day, we have all be working hard with each other, Tracking progress and being each others cheerleaders.
My mom, heh not so much. She has always been super critical so I do not expect much from her. I could lose 100 lbs and she would notice how maybe my hair looked too shaggy, or my makeup was wrong, or something. It is what it is I guess

Keep up the great work everyone. I know that I have a fire under my a$$ that has come from seeing progress and feeling SO much better. Amazing what a mere 15 lbs can do. I am looking forward to seeing how much better I feel in another 15lbs!!

Zombie - My husband is the same way! He's 6'5" skinny/athletic, never had a weight problem. Maybe to gain weight! (UGH!) He's hard to keep up with too, I don't think he totally can understand what a bid deal this is for me but he's encouraging! Congrats on the loss btw!

Lazy - Congrats on the loss first of all!! That's great to hear about all your support. You're changing your life and your children's! Amazing!!!

My partner, for sure. She is always saying "Kirsten, really? You want to do that? Are you SURE?"...which would drive me crazy from anyone else but her. She is also respectful of the moment when I say "YES! I KNOW ITS BAD BUT I DON"T CARE!" (which are becoming fewer, thank goodness)

And strangely enough, my father. My mom is great too, but she is, like many of us, have struggled with her weight for years. Her support is more quiet. My dad, otoh, decided one day to lose weight and did it. He is always willing to cook me extra food when I'm home that is OP or go on activities with me. Sometimes, I wish we lived closer

I'd say my husband is a big supporter but also my two good friends, one doesn't have a weight problem but the other is in the same boat I am, she does weigh less but she's working hard and seeing her results inspires me as well

I would have to say my co-workers. They see me everyday in pain with my knees and just in general not feeling good. Once I decide to start to losing the weight. They have been all over me. Walking with me, telling me no when I want that piece of fried chicken at lunch time.

Strangely after me, my ex-fiance is my biggest supporter. not judgey and always there for support or tough talk when I need it.
