Having the kiddos home while still working is zapping any extra time on the computer!

Last week I ran a couple of times for 3 miles distance and this week I upped it to 4 miles. After taking 2 weeks off and adjusting back to the extremely hot and humid weather, I am taking it slow. I did 4miles yesterday and felt completely awful for the rest of the day. I think the heat really got to me. It was only 9:15am, but it was already 80degrees. This morning I got out there at 7:10 and felt a lot better. So much for sleeping in on my day off!

So far I have lost the 4 out of 5 pounds I gained on vacation. Yeah! Went to the Dr. for my yearly and I lost 25 pounds from last year. Whoohoo!

It is going to be extremely difficult to achieve this month's goal, but I will continue to try.

Good luck to everyone. I guess everyone is having a difficult time checkin in at this time. I can understand. I hope to write back soon!

Baskgal, You too have done well after being on vacation. I find it so hard to get back at it myself!!!

4.25 miles with a friend today. She and I have two children each that are in school together and we've been friends for 10 years now. Last summer she ran her first marathon and then did another before the summer was over. She did Grandma's Marathon, in Duluth, last weekend. I'm so proud of her. This was the first time we'd had the opportunity to walk together. I really enjoyed her company. Considering it's 90+ with nearly 100% humidity it was very nice to have a buddy to walk with or I may have skipped it!!!

I love walking with a buddy, but with my work schedule I often find it difficult to find a pal available. For some reason, my neighbor is conveniently not home when I come a calling.......

Went for a 1mile walk with the kiddies after dinner. Didn't exert much energy, but just being outside I sweated a few pounds away it feels like.

After work I do try to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to my car in the garage. I actually beat everyone who was taking the elevator today!

Anyway, hope you guys have a great evening and hopefully I will get out there and do something tomorrow!

Hi Gals ~ long time no see...wink

First Saturday in awhile that Angie and I were able to do our Starbucks walk...although we skipped Starbucks because we needed to get nephew to his NAVY recruiter by 7:30, they have a big work-out this morning. So we did our 3.5 miles with a fly by Starbucks!

I am really slacking with my walking after work. My days have been hard but mostly because when I get home the dogs don't need a walk since Angie, being off school for summer, takes them out 3.5 to 5 every morning. Much easier then for me to grab that beer!....

so you see...it is HER FAULT!!...her staying in shape really messes me up!

Gotta go before she reads this............

have a great week-end!

Baskgal, You don't think your neighbor's in there peeking at you cuz she's lazy do ya lol She doesn't do exercise kinda like some don't hand out Halloween candy hee hee. You've done terrific on your journey thus far. Keep up the good work!

Gary, Get out there and do your miles, then have the beer....it will be that much sweeter!!!!

I got out and did 6 miles after church today....I think I'll have that sweet beer now!!! Have a great Sunday!

BASKGAL she is probably just jealous since you are doing so well! Keep up the good work.

LOVNMOM Yep, I actually do tell myself I can't have any beer until I get a few miles in....it's just sometimes I am really hard of hearing!

After church this morning and a little grocery shopping I watched the Euro Cup then the end of NASCAR. Thought ....oh gee, too late to go walking now! Then realized I am getting much closer to my 1 year anniversary for my weight loss...still have work to do. I got up took the dogs for 2 miles then added 2 more on the treadmill.

Not going to get close to goal this month...dang!

Gary, Maybe you didn't make goal, but you did make some great choices yesterday and other days this month too. You've done really well in the 11 months you've been on your journey. Be proud!

2 miles during minor league practice today and another 2+ with Laurie during little league practice too. Ending the month pretty good and with a 1# loss as well. That 1# was a long time coming, but I got my whole life to improve myself.
I got in another 2.25 with Mel during V.B. practice. My old lady knees are whooped, but I hear red wine is good for those too!

Great job LOVNMOM! You are getting more practice than the kids!

Jumped on the treadmill for 3 miles after work today to finish up the month, a little behind but I'll bet I didn't have 43.5 miles last July!

43.5/75 MILES

Here is hoping we all do well in July!
