In the US people always thought I was younger. It definitely is in the way I dress. I´m usually in some variation of my work outfit (not the Lara one) of jeans, tee shirt, and work boots. And for someone a year away from their Ph.D. I am especially immature. I´m 27.

Here, everyone assumes I`m older and a mother since I`m fat. But also in the way that I dress. Since I`m not out with a tight tee shirt exposing my glistening rolls, a tiny bra which gives me quadra boob but exposes my fat cleavage, and a mini skirt to show off my jiggly thighs, people just assume that I`m older.

By the way, that is the description of a girl that just passed in front of the internet cafe. I mean, good for her to have that confidence, but wow.

For most of my life people have assumed I am younger than I am. I think it's mainly because I'm so small plus I have really, really good genes from my mom. She's almost 70 but looks 50. I'm 46 and have 3 gray hairs.

When I was heavy, I didn't get the young comments. Now that I'm small again, I'm getting them. Even though I have wrinkles now from having my skin stretched over my puffy big checks.

I've always looked younger than I am. At this point, I think most people think that I am 5 to 10 years younger than I actually am (I'm 38). It doesn't really have anything to do with my weight, however; I get it from my mom. On one of her first dates with my dad, she couldn't get into a bar they were trying to go to because she had forgotten her ID. She was 31; the drinking age was 18. She looked like she was in her late teens well into her 30's, even after having two kids.

As I've lost weight, I think I look older. I notice some fine lines around my mouth that I didn't notice before. But everyone else tells me it is in my imagination.

Interestingly, when people that haven't seen us for a while see the two of us together, they often think that I am my sister and she is me. She is 2 years younger than me, but she's taller by several inches. I think they assume the taller sister must be the older one.
