Jibbelle,

I agree -- you're doing so awesome, why not take the lites with you when you go? I myself am becoming absolutely addicted to the chocolate crunch -- those are the only ones I get. Although I heard that December is bringing CARAMEL chocolate crunch! Pinch me!

Marcie,

I have incredible faith that you can get back on track. I know your husband loves you just the way you are, and soon you will too!

And, I'm drinking my water!

Bunny-

I would love to take bars with me...but it is going to take me a year to get to my goal weight and that is a lot of bars!! A lot of money too. What I may do it take 10 boxes or so and use them sparingly....at most once a day. That should help with cravings. Whenever I am in St. Louis (or Atlanta if they have a center) I am sure I could stop by a center and buy more.

I agree that the chocolate crunch are the best bars. Those are the only bars I get. I also like the chocolate shakes. I try and do one bar and one shake a day.

I didnt know about the caramel. OH YUMMY!!!!

Hey you guys! Thank you so much for your pep talk! I know I can do this too! It means so much to me that you guys believe in me. I have noone to talk about this to. All of my friends are skinny and they eat whatever they want and they just don't understand. If I say I gained weigh they say so what! We still love you! I know that David loves me the way I am but he also knows that I can be smaller. He used to comment on how cute I dressed and how good I looked all of the time and now he never says anything. I think he is in denial that his wife is fat. Oh well...all I can do is try my hardest. I will do that! Thanks again you guys! And by the way has everyone gotten their water in today?? I've had 98 oz!! WOO HOOO!
Jibbelle, good luck with the job decision. You will be closer to me and Nancy!!
Nancy, I hope you get feeling better!

Bunny, congrats on your 10pd mark!! Great job!!

Hi Everyone:
Congrats Bunny on your 10lb. loss. I was wondering when the carmel is coming out. Believe it or not I am getting tired of these bars, not even the choc crunch tastes good.
Jibbelle Should I even mention that my sister has been using Slim fast bars or Jenny Craig bars as the lites. It works for her I think they have a little more calories but she still losses.
Marcie have patience with yourself. I know it is hard but I find I have to keep food seperate from my emotions when ever kind of mood I am in. Even when I am out with my sisters for the day I will eat before going out so I will not be tempted. They have been supportive and now they do not even bother to offer me food. Sometimes it is hard but I have to keep reminding myself how it felt 50 lbs ago, not fun at all. Be kind to yourself, set mini goals so it does not seem so far away. I also date my food diary ahead in pen, so I am commited to writting in it.
I weighed in today stayed the same.

Marcie-

98 oz of water!!! GEEZ! You are going to explode! Once again...welcome back...we missed you!

Diane-

I have thought about looking into some other kinds of bars. I have seen soy based bars in the health food section at the grocery. I need to compare the nutritional content in them with the ones at the center. I am sure that slimfast or something would work just as well....or perhaps a snickers! Just kidding.

I cant believe it is almost Thanksgiving! Has anyone started Christmas shopping???

Ack! Jibbelle, what are you trying to do to us!?

Ok, I have a new chicken recipe type thing. It's so hard to cook without being able to use most condiments, etc. So, I marinated some chicken with balsamic vinegar, cinnamon, lite salt and generic Mrs. Dash garlic herb seasoning, then threw on the George Foreman for 8 minutes (I cook about a week's worth at the time -- lazy). But hey, it was very juicy and tasty.

I won a George Foreman grill at work yesterday so I am anxious to try it out! I marinade chicken in fat free italian or red wine vinagerette dressing. Both are pretty good. THe red wine dressing makes the chicken look pink so it is kind of tricky to tell when it is done! But it is pretty yummy.

I am going to try and make it to the center today. I will be wearing jeans, so I know I will be up, but it makes them happy when I come in a couple times a week. I would prefer to just go in once a week on Saturday mornings. They get kind of crabby when I do that though...

Hope everyone has a great on plan day!

Hey Ladies,

I'm beginning to feel a little better. This mess has been rough. I have drank way too many diet cokes & sprites... but, with the fever... I thought that I was parched & didn't want to get dehydrated... haven't done as well with my water... going to try to get back on track today. But thanks for the get well wishes.

Marcie... you are beginning to sound like your old self again. Hang with us girlfriend! We all can use your friendship & support & hopefully we can help you a little along the way.

Okay ladies, what do you eat besides chicken? I love chicken... but, chicken, chicken, chicken... you know what I mean. What if we posted our daily menus here?... (our diaries... yikes ... may would help us not to fudge) or at least one of our meals... this would give us all some tasty OP meals. yummy

Jibbelle, moving... a big decision... bless you... we made a big move last Christmas... just 18 miles... across the state line... to my parents home... we gave our home to our son, daughter-in-law, & grandson... we still are not settled and there is a part of us that would like to find some land & build a new home.... of course we are much older... with grown children & a grandchild so our situations are not the same. Our son & his family seem to be settled & happy & we dare not hint that we are considering another move... going to sit on it a few more months & see how we feel... i just think that it is re-adjusting. BUT, whatever decision you make... I hope that you will be HAPPY! When we were young... we only moved about 16 times with jr college, college, work training, & work relocations.. all with 3 young children... AL, FL, AL, KY, FL, AL, TX, FL... etc... our son the oldest started 1st grade in TX... my husband was working offshore & I drove Chris 40 miles to school one way... every day... I packed a lunch for the girls & myself... we stayed in town the entire day waiting to pick up Chris... anyhow, one day... Don's former boss called... Don was not there... Harry asked me what it would take for Don to come back... I said... move us home & pay him what he is making here... done deal... I informed Don when he came in from the rig... we stayed planted in FL for all the years since... I had wanted to come home to AL... but 18 miles from home was nothing compared to where all we had been... then, we moved last Christmas... for us a big step... we had been settled in for many years. But, we are both parentless now and that probably contributes to our feelings... but, we are very blessed to have our children. ANYHOW, just do what's in your heart & I hope that it works out to be the best...

Yep, I've already started shopping for Christmas... have to start early... to budget everything. I did something rare... I bought for my son & son-in-law first... the boys are usually harder to buy for. I got them a nice camera with an additional lens, a camera case, film, & batteries... I hope that they will like it... although Chris' son, Lee will soon be 11... they still have some times to catch Kodak memories & Joey & Karen are trying to start their family... so all new parents & young couples need a camera.

Take care all,
Nancy

Posting diaries is a good idea. I think we starting doing that some time ago...but it kind of fizzled out. I am going to St. Louis Bread Company for lunch. You can get 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad for $5.95. It works great for 2 starches, 1 protein, 2 veggies, and fat free dressing. You can also get fruit salad instead of veggie salad if you prefer fruits instead of veggies. I will be out of starches after lunch...but I can live with that.

I think I am going to try out the Forman grill with chicken breasts for dinner. Maybe also sautee some zuchinni and tomato to go on the side. OH yeah...and I still have dairy and fruit left. I will probably make a peach smoothy when I get home! WOOHOO

Well, I have a pretty monotonous diet. Ok, keep in mind that I have no fruits and so extra other stuff.

Breakfast: Diet bread & LF cheese

Midmorning: LA Lite

Lunch: Either a Healthy Choice Meal OR tuna salad with LF cheese on one slice diet bread (no regular or LF mayo, I make it with vinegar, a little mustard, a dab of FF mayo, spices incl cinammon and lite salt, celery, green onion, maybe a little FF sour cream) OR a grilled chicken salad out -- full fat dressing on the side, but I just dab my fork in.

Afternoon: (not always) Baby carrots, OR, occasionally, my LA Lite

Dinner: Either a chicken breast OR orange roughy OR shrimp (usually chicken, but I like it) grilled/blackened in the George F. Accompanied by broccoli OR spinach OR squash OR asparagus, mixed with the remainder of my cheese and fat, and melba toast in it if I have a starch, OR, rarely, thrown with pasta. I get my variety here mostly from the cheeses. I experiment with cheddar, colby, swiss, feta. OR, if I have dinner out, I get a grilled chicken salad. Fortunately, I *really* like drilled chicken salads. But I don't order the meat "dry." Blecch.

Evening: LA Lite (if I didn't eat it in the afternoon)

Congrats to everyone! You're doing great! I myself got off-plan last night and am not feeling so great about it.

I decided not to make chicken for dinner. Instead I made a 2 egg omelette with a little cheese and lots of veggies (green pepper, green onion, mushroom, and tomato). It was YUMMY and very filling too. I used all my starch up at lunch, so I didnt get any toast to go with it.

I got in all my water today Marcie.

I went and weighed in today and I was up two lbs...but I know that isnt real. I went in the middle of the day and I was wearing jeans. I will post my weight on Saturday morning after I go to the center. I am hoping to have a 2.2 pound loss this week so I can make the 30 pounds gone mark, but I dont think it will happen. I have been losing about 1.5 a week. It will be great to go in and see my weight in the 250s though. BYE BYE 260s!

They told me at the center that there were going to be three new kinds of bars (caramel, berry, and something else). She said some of the centers already have them.

We wont get them till after Christmas sometime.

Hi Everyone:
Weighed in today I made in under 150. There is a new Assistant Manager at our center she seems really nice but her language bothers me. Do you think I should say something to the manager or am I making a big deal of it. Personally I do not use curse words when I am talking to someone I know to some, it is not a big deal. I do not think it is to professional. Just my two cents. But any way she was talking about her husband saying he was made at her and she said he told her to stay out of his F---ing face and she was using **** quit often, I just found it uncomfortable. So What does everyone think?
Jibbelle new bars were not mentioned at our center yet we are usually one of the last ones to get new stuff.

It is not appropriate to use curse words in the workplace... especially when your business is customer service!! I would be shocked to hear someone at my center talk like that.

Congrats on the loss Diane!! I bet it feels good to be out of those 150s! You have 10 lbs to your Christmas goal...just like Marcie and I. I bet we can all do it!!!!

Breakfast:
cereal bar (1F, 1S)
cottage cheese (1/2 P)

Snack:
apple (1F)
Chocolate Crunch Bar

Lunch:
1/2 turkey sandwhich (1S, 1P)
a little light mayo (<1 fat)
mixed green salad (2 V)
fat free dressing

Snack:
pineapple (1F)
Chocolate Shake (with milk)

Dinner:
no idea!
still have 1P, 2 V, 1S left (maybe a little fat too)

I am on the red plan until I get to 239 lbs...then I switch to purple.

I have a test tomorrow so I have a ton of studying to do. Will check in again later.

Have a great afternoon everyone!

Jibbelle are you looking foward to less food I know you lose one of the starches and a fruit. I used to love the red plan.
I am doing the LA express for two days:
Breakfast;
La lite
Snack:
String cheese / La Lite
Lunch:
Turkey
tomato
Cheese
Snack:
La Lite
prunes
Dinner:
Chicken and String Beans
2 ( P) 1 (F) 2(V) 3 La lite 1 Dairy 1 express P
Nancy I have trouble with the diet soda also I think sometimes I drink it to avoid food and yes I also drink all my water. It's just I love having that Mountain Dew. I have mentioned at the center a couple of times about to much soda but I guess they figure I still lose weight so they do not bother me about it.
