OMG!! So last night I come home from work and my next door neighbor tells me that another neighbor whose wife I had just been talking to the night before had died
. I went to bed with tummy ache, didn't get much sleep, so today was a total crap day at work.
After 3 freaking years I finally get tested on equipment and can't seem to pull my head out of my a**. I'm one of those people who freak out over testing along with being stressed about Liz and Ashley(my neighbor and her DD) and my stomach ache and lack of sleep and food. I get on the blade and "cleaned" the road with my rippers down the whole time tearing up the road right behind me.
Fortunately, I did well enough that the guys realized I actually do know how to run equipment. BUUUUT, I will now be known as "Rip" for the rest of my career. Miners don't let go of any humiliation they have on you.
Now, guess what.
HE'S NOT DEAD!!!
He was taken by ambulance to a doctor b/c Liz wasn't strong enough to carry him. DD called me when I was on my way home to set me straight. I talked to his wife a little bit ago. She's getting sympathy cards and food baskets from other neighbors they've never even met. Heck, I was trying to remember a good casserole recipe today.
They found out about the rumor from my DD this morning when she called their DD. My DD,"Sorry to hear your Dad died." They DD, "Um, my Dad is sitting next to me eating breakfast."
Now, we just have to see if the neighbor who spread this rumor to me is going to live much longer.
