New Breaking Out of the 240s Thread!

  • Colleen I go to zumba gold which is for older and out of shape people like me . I have a heart rate monitor and it's in the 140-150. I really work up a sweat. I am going once a week. I am not coordinated but am trying.

    I am addicted to diet coke and seldom can have just one. Water or some crystal light in my water is what I drink.

    Well I am off to look like a fool. Luckily everyone is watching the instructor not me
  • Woohoo down to 242.5 today. So close to being out of the 240's. Hopefully by the weekend. I was 130 2 years ago and am ready to fit into those cloths again.
  • 242.5 again not bad after lifting and eating out last night. I am hopeful to be 240 or 239 by Monday.
  • Even after being in the hospital with my daughter for 2 days I am down a pound. So 241.5 so close. Maybe Monday will see 139.
  • I think I am going to be trapped in the 240s forever.
  • in the 240's for the second time around now :/ not so excited this time around.

    still, its progress. a week and half ago at the doc I was 253 and yesterday i weighed in at 249.5.

  • I spent the last couple weeks dancing around 244-245 well I jumped on the scale just hoping to see 243.something well I was pleased to see 242.2. That is 61.8lbs gone
  • Almost there 240.5 today. Its dropping slowly but it is dropping. I had hoped to be in the 130's today but it will come. I was not able to exercise this week as much. I am ready for school to start so we can get into a regular routine.
  • Ahhh 240 today. I will not weigh tomorrow because I am going to lift today. Hopefully this is the last time I wil be in this group. I hope too see you all in the 130's group. I can hardly wait to not see 240 anymore.
  • New month...10 more pounds to lose! I WAS at 247, but now 249 after a long Labor Day campout of camp-food and goodies! Goal is to be under 240 by October 1. I've met the goal 6 months in a row, I don't want to screw it up now, but I did cut it really close!

    Lishar--it was Zumba Gold that kicked my butt! I thought it was going to be a bunch of stretching/yoga type stuff. NOPE! Not for me. YET anyway!
  • Zumba gold kicks my butt too. I did find it easier the 3rd time. I still was sweaty but I did not feel as bad after. Practice makes perfect I guess.

    This is a 6 pound gain from my lowest weight so far of 242.0
  • Weighed in at 241 tonight! I'm in shock; even though I've done my best to get back on track this week I'm not quite there. Had several instances where I didn't have a choice in where to eat and had things like In-N-Out (no, I don't like the "protein -style") and Little Caesar's pizza (had 3 slices instead of my usual 1 w/ a salad). I've been losing really slow this month and thought for sure I had a gain coming this week, but I'm down a pound and a quarter. Whew! Maybe I can make it out of the 240's soon!
  • I am still here. I was 240.5 today. Up half a pound from 2 days ago. I will stay on plan and keep walk, walk, walking. I have to admit I was a little bummed not to see a 3 today.
