  • Quote: It is truly vile and I really think it is anti women - it refers to the time of the month. The saying is sometimes Rags clot (Raaags cluuut, blaaad cluuut) etc.

Not nice. Not said on rap records as more Jamaican than Afro American (about the only thing that isn't!) but said regularly in SE London!!
    Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They obviously have a high opinion of women... not!
  • The darker side of Rastafarianism!

They don't even want the women to cook their food when it is that time of the month!

Cook it yourselves ALL the time, boys!
  • Too right! I wonder why the women put up with it. If DH said anything like that to me (not likely) he'd get a swipe upside the head and be on kitchen duty for a month.
  • Okay you choco-holics out there... I need some help.

I've got people (husband's boss + hubby) coming for dinner at the weekend and they are both chocolate lovers and both on permanent diets.

We don't much like choccie (we usually just have cheese and bikkies or fruit for pud) but I'd like to cook them a really nice, low fat, fairly posh, choc pud - tiramisu or something like that - but I haven't got a tried and trusted recipe. Can anyone help?
  • Personally I'd get those Gu chocolate souffles from the supermarket, but they're not low-calorie!
  • If it was anyone else I probably would - but this has got to be impressive. Its me, DH - his boss + hubby and Area Manager + wife. AM + wife are lovely but the Boss is turning out to be a pain in the and I need to impress.
  • What do you think of this one: http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/s...la,838,RC.html

D'you think the prunes would be a mistake?
  • I've used the Rosemary Conley low fat cookbooks before, her food is always very reliable and yummy, and is of course low fat. I'm sure you could get one out from a library if you have time. I always feel like I ate a little bit of luxury after making her food.
  • I think they would taste a bit like some protein brownies I made with egg whites - chewy rather than cakey. I'd make them in advance and try them.
  • You could always coat some fruit in melted choccie - that's kind of healthy and not too calorific!
  • My friend was chatted by a Sierra Leonian a few days ago. He is still living there but said he as a sister in London. He said he liked her arse! They got chatting and he invited her out for a drink. She was busy and (truthfully) was very busy. He then said that the relationship was not going to get too far if she kept putting him off! She was quite shocked!! She agreed to meet but he was late and she had already slunk home.

    In a word...passport. Right?!

He had wanted to come to her home but she wisely did not give that out but stupidly gave her own phone number!!!
  • Whooooop whoooooop whoooooop! Psycho alert!

****-o relationship????? You have relationships with people you're just MET!
  • I like the dipped fruit idea - time to go up in the loft and see if I can find the fondue thingies. I think we've got three sets of them (this is what happens if you don't do a wedding present list) so I might do three different colour chocolates. What fruit should I use.... strawberries, raspberries and..... ?

Theres a lot of that about. I know of three young women who have been caught out that way. Why on earth do they fall for it?? Surely they can't be THAT desperate.

    OMG... just seen the time....

And with that single sentence my mouth began to water!

Edit: Is it this recipe from the Ladies Who Lift forum?:-

    Protein Brownies

    Ingredients

    5 egg whites
    2/3 cup fat-free cottage cheese
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup Splenda
2 tsp Butter Buds (in powder form)
    1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup oatmeal (uncooked) and ground to a flour in food processor
2 servings protein powder (to equal 50 g of protein)
    1 tsp cinnamon

If so, did you use butter buds? I haven't found anywhere that sells them near me so if you didn't use butter buds, what did you use? Or did you just omit them?

Sarah Ann, how about a flour-less cake? I used to have a recipe for one let me dig around and see if I can find it.
