It's been a bit quiet here recently.

Twins fan ouch. So many injuries for you guys this year.
At one time we had the best DL in the MLB!!! OK, not a good thing to brag about but a girls got to think on the bright side. It was getting better and than........our pitchers went on vacation...ugh.
  • Where's all my baseball friends?

Going to Busch Stadium tonight. Cards and Reds.
  • Quote: Where's all my baseball friends?....
I am here. Just a bit down

I have been following my boys since I was 9 years old...listening on the radio with my dad as a child....

I don't ever remember a team I have been prouder of....

what they have gone through with their owner and the fans...

I can't recall seeing so many games lost on one pitch or one inning...

15 runs scored one night....0 for the next three...1 and 2 run losses mount like crazy...

and through it all my guys have said the right things...and keep plugging along....

this is a group of classy young men.....
  • Cards win 8-1.

Berkman hit a monster home run tonight, 452 feet. Longest ever at this stadium.

(((Gary))) they all have bad games. I think as a team they are handling themselves very well. It can't be easy with all the carry on.
  • Hats off to Derek Jeter and to all the Yankees on the ocassion of his historic 3000th hit.

[With admiration from a die hard Red Sox fan.]

    I'll second that Bill!
  • This guy Jeter must play for a team I pay no attention to.....

why oh why couldn't he have been a DODGER?
  • Congrats to Jeter on 3,000 hits.
  • Jeter had 3 more hits today than my DODGERS...

but we won since those padres had only 1
  • So are the Padres going to be selling?

I think Heath Bell will be too expensive for a short term rental.

    Who else could we get?
  • PROOF once again NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

  • So who's watching the All Star Game?
  • Quote: So who's watching the All Star Game?
I was but I handed the remote over to my wife...not watching now

    it's Pawn Stars....

and besides I saw Kemp score and get a hit...Ethier single in a run and get thrown out...and Kershaw get 'em out 1-2-3...

    so it's all good
  • for the NATIONAL LEAGUE...

I watched most of the game...after my boys were done I handed the remote to Angie then just checked in during commercials of Pawn Stars and Pickers.

    oh, there was something else....

    oh yeah.....

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY

    BIG BIRD!
