I think some people underestimate how much just being a little more active can help. My mother eats in the neighbourhood of 2000 cals a day, and that doesn't include the 3 or 4 bags of candy she buys every Friday at the shop she frequents. She's just at the top range of a healthy BMI (but at 80, not looking to change that). She doesn't do any truly heavy work (that's my job), but she's what I would call a busy type, even though she usually naps in the afternoon for a little while. In theory (using age, current bodyweight, general activity levels) she should be maintaining at about 1500 cals. In practice her daily has got to be closer to 2500. And she's been heavier years ago (although probably only 50 lbs heavier) so it's not like she doesn't gain weight. That daily moving about, fiddling with stuff, going back and forth 6 times to do a simple task, obviously makes the difference.
On that note I have some dusting/cleaning up to do. In theory that's why I finished up my exercises in the morning. In practice I'm avoiding it, although if I don't do it today then that's what I'll be doing Saturday!
Hope everyone is having a good, on plan day. Oh, and I'll be hitting that NC beach tomorrow morning by the way.

Although I won't post until I'm done in the afternoon with my lifting.
