I don't know about the gaining at first thing for me... I have already (according to scale at home) dropped 3 more lbs in basically 2 1/2 days.
And I am one of those weirdos that if I went on an all liquid diet (which I have done before) once I get past day 2 all my cravings go away.
If I have all power to make any and all choice in what I eat taken away (so like on a liquid diet).... salad vs pizza, grilled vs fried... I rock the diet. It is when I actually have to prep real food or make a choice that I have problems

Did you discuss Metaquick with your counselor? I sort of accidently did one when I first purchased the shakes. And I hadn't really had prepared proteins so I did some meal replacements bars. I thought I could have 3 bars and 3 shakes, not 3 total! Boy did I get hollered at, well not really, but I was advised NOT to do it.
Then last Friday when I didn't lose and I usually lose pretty consistently my counselor said to stay away from bars/shakes/hard cheese/beef--pretty much everything that breaks up the plan and helps me stay on plan!
I didn't mention specifically mention Metaquick, but I sort of implied that I really wanted to get the scale moving. Just wondering if they suggested it, or if you did!

Good loss and I applaude you on your ability to handle the liquid diet. Me, I drink the liquid and then want food to go with it! excellent loss as well.
