I'm finally back, and I've missed my SAHMmies!!!!!
Congrats Becca on the great news! A new little one, nothing is so exciting or happy as that. Good luck, and keep in touch with us. You still need to eat right. In fact, I lost quite a bit the first few months of my pregnancy, simply because I'd been eating crap for so long then decided to eat right for my little one. Woo-hoo, I'm so happy for you!
Amanda: Good for you for sticking to your guns about the drugs. Drugs should be a LAST resort, and rarely used, not a first line of defense. I guarantee the doctor makes money for every kid she prescribes Aderall for. That stuff is so bad! There were "hyperactive" kids while we were growing up, and none of them were medicated; they were considered normal and just grew out of it! And from what you've said, Christian is not even hyperactive or showing any of the so-called "symptoms" of ADHD. Sorry, but I get so angry at doctors sometimes. I know this is a little different, but I used to work at a vet office where they used to prescribe all kinds of things for cats with "behavior" problems. Prozac, Nortriptylline, Buspar, lots of others. They even had me convinced my "problem cat" needed to be on Nortriptylline. Well, it stopped him from fighting with one of my other cats, but only because he was doped up and slept all day. I'd rather have the fights! Anyway, good for you and I'm so glad Christian is doing well in his new school.
Hello Alisha! I think your idea for goals by the end of the year are great! I will have to think about mine tomorrow.
Hello Julie! Congrats on the weight loss! Wow, you're doing great. You are very motivated.
Carafre! How was your trip? I hope you had a great time. Is that a number OTHER than 199 that I see on your weight tracker? Woo-hoo, you get a dancing carrot for that!
I decided to stay in Tennessee for the whole week. We had a great time. My son was thrilled to play with the cats all week. He followed his favorite one around (Echo, who's my avatar currently) and just laughing and laughing. He even got our oldest cat to play ball with him; he would throw a baseball or some other ball, and Henley would chase after it as my son would giggle like crazy.
Guess what: WE SOLD OUR HOUSE! Woo-hoo! I'm so excited. The closing isn't until December 16, but because it's this whole relocation deal, we'll be able to get our money probably by the end of next week. Then we can move the closing on our new house up and move rather quickly. Finally! I am starting to feel like a normal person again!
Okay, I've typed everyone's ears off (or eyes, I guess!). I'm so glad to see you guys again, this is the first thing I did when I got back to the hotel.
See ya tomorrow!
