Welcome, Tracie! There's no time limit on losing 5 pounds, so jump right in.

I didn't do that great on the food today. I did walk up some hills this evening, though, and then I did some Pilates. Okay, so today wasn't the greatest day all the way around. Tomorrow will be better!

    Gary

Thanks for inspiring us all. And for leading by example! You're the best!
  • It's been a while since I posted, but I am still in on this challenge! I had a not so good extended weekend at home, so my weight is up a tiny bit - 150.7 (up from 150.5). That's a lot better than I thought it would be though; it's good to know that I can essentially maintain while eating "normally" (with my new lifestyle changes) at home.

I went for a nice run this morning 28 minutes running and 3.2 miles total, including warm up and cool down. My eating is off to a great start today as well - a yummy double fiber english muffin!

EZ - CONGRATULATIONS! You did it! Will you still stick around? I hope so
  • Paula, wow! Your progress is truly amazing.
  • thanks so much caroline.... i shall see how it goes now ive packed in smoking again (i had started back up for a week or so, today is day one with no nicotine) i just hope my metabolism doesnt totall freak out!

if i can get to 195 by my holidays i will be happy

i think i have finally come to terms with the fact that this isnt a race and im not gonna lose it in 4 weeks and keep it off. i need to stop looking for a quick fix and just adjust everything to a liveable level... the weight is coming off me slowly but surely!
  • Hi Everyone!
    EZ, congratulations!!

As for me, I actually feel better! I got on the treadmill for 30 minutes so far today, which was awesome for me... since standing was a big deal the last few days. I missed physical activity sooooo much, but I'm back, baby!
Good luck to everyone, and let's keep it going.
    Hugs, Dena
  • Just a quick pop in. Paula, wow you're doing great! Yeah, I used to think I'd lose it all quickly but finally realized that slow and steady wins the race.

Good job Gary! You'll be at goal very, very soon -- I just know it.

Have been eating OP and exercising great all week. My muscles are sore from yesterday's wt. w/out, esp. my chest and triceps. Could only dig one hole yesterday -- muscles too tired -- but what a hole it was! All 9 arbs are in and look great. Spent the day doing yard/garden stuff w/hubby and am bushed.

Am hoping to see a loss this weekend but don't feel like I've lost. Hmmm, we'll have to see. Gotta go!!
