  • Fish- That is very cool about your cruise. It sounds like so much fun, I might be getting jealous!
  • Red, the balloon looks like a Winnie-the-Pooh balloon, except his was blue so that the bees might think he was only part of the sky.....

My "fruit fast" got rid of 2 pounds of Christmas bloat!!!
I think I will have Friday morning as my regular weigh in and ticker mover day.

Fish woman I am so jealous......take lots of pictures for us!!!
  • Fish I work for the company that trains all the NCL cruise line workers
  • Apple- That is so funny you said that about Winnie the Pooh, I totally thought it looked like his balloon too!
  • Day 3 of no sweets plus 10 min on stationary bike and Day 2 of running were wrapped up successfully yesterday.

I ran and it was 10 min and 46 seconds before I noticed.
I've been doing the bike in the mornings as part of my week at a time challenge, and it feels so great to get it over with so early in the day! Today is a work day, and I had to get up at 6 am after not being able to fall asleep until 3 am or so... so will have to bike in the evening, bleh.
  • day 2

    calories-1280
    zelle-15 min
(other exercise- circuit train 30 min)
  • groan....
Ok, so it's a Pooh Bear balloon. Fine with me. I love that book. Speaking of which, there's a Brit in our office who changed his named from Christopher to Chris officially. We finally got out of him the reason. Apparently, his middle name is Robin! I think it's cute. He, however, has not forgiven his parents!

Well, I am feeling absolutely awful this morning and there is no time to catch up. I am already late for work. I had my very first Margarita last night and some beers but there is no way I should be feeling ill from it...very strange. Guess I hadn't eaten enough before and I did ride my horse, walk about 2.5 hours and jog 5K before going out for drinks, so maybe I was a bit tired! I was supposed to go out tonight again but I think I'm going to have to take a raincheck.

Welcome to our newcomers. I'll give you a proper hello later. Fish, your cruise sounds wonderful! Where will you be going? Excellent work on getting that cabin at a lower rate!

    Ok, later all!
  • No sweets & 10 min stationary bike - Day 4 complete.
Running - Day 3 complete with 11 mins.

    And I'm so tired!
  • Well, still no day 1 yesterday. I'm hoping for one today, but in truth I have TONS of packing and cleaning and getting ready to do!
My start date in Louisville was supposed to be the 9th, but about a month ago it got changed to the 3rd and, get this, no one told me until late last week.
So I have to be in Louisville for training on the 3rd, come back here to the Lou to work for a few days, and then pack up and move to Louisville on Saturday. Ack! I can't belive it!
  • No desserts/treats- Day 12 *PAUSE* My last pause day for this challenge.
100 oz of water- Day 3 *PAUSE*

  • Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a happy holiday type season! I just got back from my parents house last night and got on my *official* weight loss scale (I try to always use the same scale to avoid confusion) and gack! MY MOTHER'S SCALE LIED TO ME! It told me I had lost three pounds. MY scale says I have GAINED 1.5!! I am telling myself that I miraculously gained back the weight I had lost and an extra 1.5 lbs after christmas was over - I'm taking the liar-scale's weight for my christmas challenge - my self esteem just can't take removing that goal met bit from my signature right now. I am, however, revising my anniversary romance challenge because 11.5 lbs in two weeks ain't going to happen. As for the 21 day challenges...I had planned to wait until after new years, but I'm feeling ambitious and so I am restarting my water challenge today. Four bottles (20 oz) per day for 21 days. That's a goal I can meet even when there are new years parties and anniversaries to be enjoyed. I'm declaring this a level two challenge. So here goes - it's 1:30 pm here and I have zero bottles down, four to go. I'll keep you posted on my progress!

    Keep on Truckin!
    Erin
  • Hee-hee. I get to move the ticker. I had a feeling all that extra weight would come off quick, it was just too much at once and it was asking to stay but I said NO!! Go away! I have enough work to do with out you around!
So maybe I was cheating a little bit, moving my start weight back, but I was really mad at myself and I was punishing myself.
Day one down for both, no beer and exercise.
Phydom, just now noticing you are/were from St. Louis. I lived there for 3 years. Ready for some food porn? Ted Drewes!!! The Botanical Garden is one of my favorite places EVER. I still get the calender every year to remind me of all the beauty....
  • No exercise, no proper eating, no challenge: Day 5.

Red, when do you find time to work? 5k jog, 2.5hour walk, horse riding, drinks (again!?). And yet you still find time to post!

I too am feeling a little under par this am. Too much vino and champers (actually most of it was cheap fizz - I contributed real champers, but only got a taste of my own offering). And of course the buffet. I can’t tell you too much about it ***FOOD PORN ALERT! NOTIFY THE FOOD POLICE!*** but there was a little too much of a sweet called sucre à la crème that Quebecers make and that is to die for and I can’t believe I ate the whole thing or at least it feels like I did… I’d tell you more but Red would rise from her sickbed to spank me.

I’m finally testing the advice I’ve been given for splitting my screen and composing in my equivalent to Word . I’ve got my fingers crossed it will work when I try to post. Hmmm. How will I put in the smilies?

Fish, clever you for jumping at the upgrade! It’s like winning a mini-lottery when these things happen to us, and I have a feeling you’ll be able to really appreciate it to its fullest. Do you also get first crack at the shrimp/smoked salmon platters at the buffets?

At the party last night we had one of those gift exchanges where everyone brings a wrapped gift, everyone takes a number, you choose gifts in numerical order and can steal someone else’s gift rather than pick a fresh one. Anyway, long story short, they were supposed to be $15 gifts, and lucky me picked an old, cracked, ugly, plastic tray with sticky (no doubt from the thrift store sale sticker) still on it. It’s already in my thrift store bin… And before anyone chides me for being materialistic, in this case it is the thought - or lack thereof - that counts. Everyone at the party works in the same field as me or is in a profession, so lack of money is NO excuse. Just a lack of consideration. Then again, a few «new» people had been added to the regular group, and they may not have quite understood that it wasn’t meant to be a white elephant exchange. Think good thoughts, Carla. Think good thoughts. Feel sorry for how embarrassed they must have been. (I feel better already! Maybe I should try some Coué affirmations next!)

    Off in search of advil....
  • The cut and paste worked! Hallelujah! No more excuses!!! Thanks Shad and CBETA for your help on this.
  • No desserts/treats- Gonna have to re-start this one. Not until Monday though!
